Nice Hanseatic/Tudor style setting, which inspires me a lot and reminds me how old Tallinn is. Amazing buffet-style breakfast.

Allow breakfast to run longer. They close at 10 am or so, which is way to early for me.

The location is excellent and for this reason alone you should book it. We were able to stay for a week with breakfast included right in the centre of Old Town. It’s cheap and cheerful. I’d definitely stay again. If it’s hot weather, ask staff for a fan and they will provide one which will make the room more comfortable (which we did).

There are so many stairs so if your baggage is heavy, be prepared to do some weightlifting. No lift either. Unfortunately, the worst part of our stay was that the room / hallway to get into the dining room (literally the only way from our room) was used as a place by staff to smoke even though it states ‘no smokjng’. It was unpleasant to walk through each morning. We knew it was staff as the same people we saw smoking would then clean the dining room and replenish food. Also, for those staying more than a couple of days, the breakfast is the same every day. It’s included in the cost of your stay which is great but it was hard to eat by the end of our stay; the options were limited.

The location of the hotel was very good, just 2min from the centre of the Old Town. I loved the environment of the hotel and the staff. I loved all the paintings and furniture - it all created a magic feeling being there. I was travelling in winter - the temperature in my room was comfortably warm. Despite some minor flaws, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would stay again next time I visit.

There were no power sockets near my bed, only near the desk in my room. So, at times, I felt like I might use one by my bed as well. At times, a smell was coming into my room that I didn't really like - it felt more like a sewage smell. It wasn't too strong and it wasn't every day, though. Pillows in my room didn't feel like the usual hotel-type thick ones. They were losing their shape quite quickly, so it didn't feel too comfortable sleeping on them.

Beautiful old building in a very nice old town location. Lots of characters.Comfortable room. Interior courtyard for safe bicycle storage. Good breakfast Buffett.

Creaky floors. We could hear our upstairs neighbors whenever they moved around. This is to be expected though in an old building like this. Sign in breakfast room threatening a 50 euro "fine" for taking extra food is a bit silly. While I was checking in my wife was accosted by an arrogant guy who seemed to work at the hotel. He had a problem wiyth where we parked our bikes, blocking pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk. He though parked his red audi right in front of the hotel blocking the entrance. He should work on his presentation, my wife just blew him off for being a bully.

It is a truly historic building and it - although in a quirky way - still has an historic vibe with it’s eclectic furniture and paintings. The hallways to the rooms are a bit like a maze. They are quite loud because of the noisy floors and so are the floors in the rooms. Once quiet though, it’s one of the quietest places we’ve stayed at. Some rooms are on busy routes (i.e. next to stairs) so we may understand why people may complain about this hotel. Cleanliness was in good order, also in the bathroom. Room needed additional heating (january) but that was already provided in the room.

Furniture in the room was quite dated, most notably the hardly working fridge and a wobbly chair. Blankeds on the bed were somewhat short. We could’ve done with extra pillows. Breakfast was okay although basic and felt like it has been the same for the last 30 or 40 years.

Everything, this hotel is very unique and surprisingly affordable. Our room while compact was good. It was very clean with the comfiest beds and was lovely and warm. There was adequate storage for two adults to store their belongings. The bathroom was spotless, with towels, toiletries and hairdryer etc provided. Breakfast was buffet style with an excellent choice. The hotel itself is a five minute walk from the old town and for my daughter and I the Christmas market. The front of desk staff were always polite and helpful. It's an excellent place for a stay

The breakfast was good enough, maybe I missed a little bit orange juice, which one can get from the shop, so it didn´t matter. The waiters have busy morning hours. I left my osteoporosis pill on the table, while getting a cup of coffee. Well, meanwhile the pill disappeared. It was not lifethreatening, it was obligatory to take every week. This is not critic, but feedback: I complained about tv signal not working. Actually I found a way to choose channels and I accepted that channels may not show every now and then . It needed more pushes than just one push of the button.

The location is perfect as a starting point to explore the old town by foot. Easy access by all transportation. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. The breakfast was good. The building and it's interior corridors are worth a wander as each one is unique and interesting.

The only window was into a internal space that was small (very little light and no view). There are noises that travel through the building which are to be expected in an old building like this but they are manageable. Though there was no kettle or coffee machine the front desk provided a kettle when asked (thank you).

Absolutely everything from the first step we entered as the special guest into this very unique mansion. Wow! What a atmosphere! All house is very tastefully decorated with old town charming style. After settling in spacious stylish room and feeling like to dress up we invited ourselves to stroll and get familiar with house. It was a lot to look and felt like walking in the museum/ gallery with many places to sit down in lavish sofas and chairs. Don't miss the lovely inner courtyard. We enjoyed tasty breakfast in the ballroom.

One need to be aware that the house from 1437 don't have the elevator and be prepared to walk in a maze like corridors and old style stairs. If you are adventurous and take it as a discovery tour you probably find it as the best feature of the house. Photos don't make justice to this place as reality is real and much better. Expect some party noise from neighbouring bar.

Location was everything. The entrance is a little shabby, to put it nicely, but the sewer smell and the somewhat moldy scent aren’t everywhere. Easy access to the market square and the Old Town sights. A budget option for travellers. Bolt can be recommended if going further than a walking distance. Reasonable prices, good cars and drivers, no scams. The breakfast is a little basic, but again, this is not a five star hotel. Would definitely go back for a short stay, like an overnight concert stay.

Since this is an old building, the sewer doesn’t work like in ”normal” buildings but there are some workarounds. If you happen to get a room in certain parts, the toilet is incredibly loud when flushing. The comments regarding the basement nightclub are valid. The noise is there, however in our two rooms (336, 338) we heard just some minor thumping noise, but I can only imagine what it must be like in the 1st floor rooms.
