The Aurora cabins are amazing! The beds very comfy and you just feel at home somehow. The breakfast is nice. The staff was always very nice and helpful.
No wifi in the cabin - I get the reason to actually look up to the sky, but there is also no phone, so not good if there is an emergency. Taxi to/from airport very expensive! (110€/3pp/1 way) Dinner included is buffet, not great but is acceptable

The Wilderness Hotel Inari is a large property with multiple types of accommodation/ rooms. A chalet with rooms, individual aurora-cabins and other options. Great breakfast spread, lovely staff and a beautiful location right by lake Inari make this place highly sought after. Don't miss visiting the Sami Village at Inari, and Siida Museum!
The month of April is a lean-season to visit the Finnish Lapland. Winter activities have closed, auroras are mostly not visible, summer activities are yet to start, and most places are likely closed.

We travelled as a family with 4 kids and had a log cabin. The log cabin next to the frozen lake was great with a big living room and with a private sauna which we used every day. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and in the afternoon we used the bar with a very nice launch area. We did not use the lunch and the dinner option. We were lucky with the northern lights and the log cabin together made a great foreground with the trees. The hotel is offering a lot of different activities, but of course you can also make arrangements with other companies which pick you up at the hotel. You can walk directly from the hotel to the city via the lake. There is also a very nice hike from the north of Inari to the wilderness church or a circle hiking from the museum Siida.
Activities are quite expensive for a family.

Hotel, staff, food and location were all really excellent! Highly recommended!
One day after breakfast we wanted to rent snowshoes in the hotel for a private activity which did not work out. The reception sent us to the activities desk where, however, no one was. We tried three times between 8.45 and 9.30 but there was no one there. We then went directly to the house where the rental equipment was provided. However, the guy there sent us back again to the reception, which sent us to the activities desk, and so on... Finally, we did not succeed to rent snowshoes at the hotel and had to rent them at another place in Inari. In sum, the hotel provides all material if you participate in booked activities. If you organize some activities by yourself, it might be better to not rely on the hotel.

Beautiful surroundings, well designed and friendly people. Most importantly felt safe as a solo traveller and looked out for. The activities are great and the staff make everything so simple for you to enjoy your stay.
My bedroom was placed next to the entrance and people come in late at night stomping their feet to clear the snow off their shoes and slamming the door. Luckily I can sleep through anything so slept through most of the sound but could be annoying for other guests. Maybe add soft close mechanism?

The hotel is just beautiful. located on the lake Inari and surrounded by natire. You can walk on the lake if it’s frozen and at night you can see the auroras. The staff are very nice, approachable and happy to help with whatever they can to make your stay more enjoyable. The hotel is about half an hour walk from the village Inari and it’s very easy and safe to walk there. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel if you are going to Rovaniemi. The rooms are super clean and cozy like a perfect wilderness cottage. I loved it.
I didn’t like only the fact that there was just 2 dishes for vegans on the menu and the breakfast also was short of vegan options. The vegan choice for breakfast was mostly sweet stuff. There was fruits, oats, jam and margarine, so if you like something salty then tou can have only fried veggies and that’s all.

The hotel is facing Inari Lake, and you will be delighted to enjoy this view while having breakfast. The position is perfect for lots of trips. Breakfast is rich and the dinner menu is amazing (but also expensive). Good dark curtains in the room are helping your sleep during summertime!
Lapland is expensive in general, but this hotel is really high-priced and there's not a wide choice in Inari. And the place is not "wild" at all, it is a hotel with its comfort. Rooms (at least the standard ones) are not necessarily facing the lake, for example ours was facing the street, so do not necessarily expect a great view. The light in the bathroom was weak and there was no "courtesy set" except dispensers of soap and shower gel (we were expecting something more, considering the price of the room). The shower has no door, so when you use it, you will wet half of the bathroom and need to dry it.

Suberb sound insulation! Builders from south should pay a visit. They would learn. Quality of materials also very high. Hotel's restaurant was best restaurant in the Inari region. It was better food quality than the hyped restaurant "Aanaar". I did ate the best snails of my life! And damm I have eaten a lot of them. I also have culinary education so I really can compare a true quality. Highly recommend house's whitefish also! From our room: The view was nice! Straight to the lake. It was easy to go to swim or walk to the beach / shore. People who worked this hotel was kind and warm, location was good. Reindeers were close by.
Hand washing sink was too small. Also watering / Sewering system in shower room was too tight and short, because different smells did not go away. Sauna was little too small and there was now stowe at all. Only a fridge but now cutlery!
