Breakfast was very good and it was fun to walk around and look at the bird houses. There was a nice bar on the back street that had locals playing their music that we enjoyed. The castle was also an interesting visit and unfortunately we did not have time to visit the nearby museum.

We had an apartment that was a couple of blocks from the Hotel. The room was great and had everything needed but we just needed a hotel room and that would have been better for us in this instance. We did not need cooking facilities etc.

This hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the train station which was really great. It was nice and clean, safe for a solo traveller, and also a handy walking distance location from the castle and a couple of other nice walking locations. The breakfast choices were good and the 12noon check-out time was very welcome!

The pet benefit is superb and really generous! Our dog had a comfortable stay in the room. The staffs are so friendly, the food is great, and most importantly, we really love the view of lake saimaa directly from our room! Thank you so much and have a happy summer everyone!

Everything was very good. The hotel staff took care of my requests for garage parking & a larger bed. Breakfast was very nice, but it always is! The staff were very friendly & helpful. Thanks to Petri who understands & listens to our requests. Good job from the Sokos team😊

The staff was very friendly. We (a family of 4) indicated that we will arrive very late 23:00 - 00:00. Everything was ready for us to check in, all we had to do was sign in. The room was very quiet, and the night very pleasant. If we come back, we will come to same place.

I don't have much to complain. The only thing, i guess, could be this. We left the car in front of the hotel, where there is a time-based (2h) parking between 8:00 - 15:00. That meant that the whole night was free. All was fine, but when we asked at arrival time if it was ok if we left the car and set the meter at 08:00, the staff said that's fine, however a parking slot at the hotel's own parking area wasn't suggested. Nothing wrong with that it all amounted to nothing, we managed.

Clean spacious apartment with kitchenette, a perfect option for families. 5 min by walk to the fortress and restaurants. Very comfortable bed and pillows, black-out curtains.

Quite pricey, but probably it was for the opera festival.

Had to locate to a new room as no view in original room. Promised a view of the lakeside. Took some wrangling to achieve that.

Nice and spacious familyroom, with a sitting area and good beds (also the extra beds for the kids). Very clean room, friendly staff. Great location, close to the castle and right in the middle of town. The boats for the tours on lake Saimaa are just around the corner. Parking garage available. Delicious breakfast, with a lot of choice.

We stayed on a friday, and ofcourse that’s a busy night in town with more noises on the street in front of the hotel (and in the hallway) at night.

Very nice location and we were lucky to get newly refurbished room in 5th floor :) And not to mention lobby, spacious and quiet.
