Beautiful location, tranquillity, fabulous room, cleanliness, eye-pleasing design, exquisite dinner of local fish, great views of the river and city lights on a darkening snowy winter's day, topped by the spa, a relaxing dip in the pool and heat of the sauna.

Upon arrival, vehicle access is limited, but luckily, there's plenty of parking space in the huge lot over the road.

The location was excellent. Easy walking distance of the train station. The setting is spectacular, I found the room spacious, and the staff were very helpful, and went the extra mile to help me out.

I would say that the hotel exterior needs a facelift, it looks dated, and cold. Also the carpeting in the corridors appears to be from the 1980s, and could do with replacing. Price point was a little high for the off-season.

I love that there is a pet friendly Spa Hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The spa area was not huge, but there was a nice little pool, whirlpool and sauna. The breakfast was very nice! The location is good, close to the city center but you can have nice walks in the area.

We were very happy with our stay

- We stayed in the Apartment with a small pet for 2 nights. The Apartment room was spacious (more than it looks in the photos), with a separate entrance which was perfect when you travel with a dog. - The bed was very comfortable and big. - The hotel is located just a step away from the nature, you can go and enjoy the walks around 2-3km island. - The staff was very helpful and friendly! They gave us a treat for our dog, it was very nice of them. Thank you! :)

- The breakfast was very modest (we even skipped going to the breakfast on our 2nd day of stay :) - In general the hotel brings 70s vibes as it was built in those times. Some renovation would needed as many things looks like hasn't been changed for years. - The toilet door would need some maintenance - The kitchenette was very tiny (but it was Ok for us as we were aware of it already) - The view from the Apartment is to the parking place (we also were aware of it, so no problem at all)

The hotel is located within walking distance of the railway station and the city center. The room was very spacious and had a balcony with a beautiful view over the lake. The bathroom was properly renovated. Breakfast was good. The ladies at the front desk were very nice to me. I would definitely stay here again!

Friendly staff and large rooms with good view.

The spa is open until 21.00 which is early, i decided to stay at this hotel for sauna but i couldn't used it at all and checked out the next morning. Because the flights from helsinki to savonlinna is at 18.30 and the fastest time to arrive to hotel is at 19.00. There is not time for 1 day travelers. It was a pity, i hope management will make changes about it.

Large and comfortable room with view on the lake. Excellent shower. Great buffet style breakfast.

The bar and restaurant have an outdated (seventies) style, but that is part of the charm of this hotel.

The staff and the place was very good,breakfast was delicious.The Staff are really accomodating and Friendly,Our children enjoyed the indoor swimming Pool😊Highly Recommended😊

Room was very spacious for a family with kids like us. 24/7 reception, very friendly staffs both in restaurant and reception. Breakfast was always served fresh. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to use the pool but they have a very clean and tidy pool. Another amazing part was the children's play room which made our life easier having a kid.

Cleanliness of the room can be improved a little more.

Awesome location - on an island that’s having its own bridge to the city center, friendly staff always ready to help, old but clean facilities well kept in very good condition. We also enjoyed a free parking about 50 meters away from the main entrance. Easy access to spa and play rooms for kids. We’ll definitely return here in the summer as it’s very silent and secluded location with friendly staff.

Facilities need renovation as the most of the hotel was built in 70s, even though they’re well-kept but they need to be updated.
