Clean rooms, Location in the marina, High quality feel all around the hotel, rooms comfortable, balcony was great addition which expanded the great feel of the hotel, pools amazing

Elevators slightly slow, loud air con, 45 dollars on site parking per night, 7 dollars per night 200 m away

We absolutely loved where this hotel is located - being by the marina is just so peaceful and very relaxing. We spent many hours watching the marine life, rowers from the rowing club and various boats sailing by. The setting of the hotel swimming pool and hot tub was beautiful overlooking the marina and both are well maintained. Cabanas and lots of sun loungers were available as well as lovely outdoor seating areas peppered with fire pits to drink and dine. We stayed in a pool/marina view room with a private cabana. This was awesome and we spent many hours relaxing here. My partner and I were both offered complimentary use of the hotel bicycles as it was my Birthday during the stay. This was a really thoughtful gesture. We rode along the scenic cycle path to Venice beach (and beyond) which we would highly recommend to anyone. One of highlights of our stay was seeing the two fantastic ladies on front desk; Michelle and Nancy. We were so well looked after by both of them. They both have a lovely energy about them and have infectious laughter, and were so accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We miss seeing their smiles each day already! We hope to return to the hotel soon.

I recently stayed at the Marina del Rey Hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is breathtaking, with stunning views on the Marina. The rooms were spotless and provided a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. However, what truly set this stay apart was the incredible service of the entire hotel staff, particularly from Nancy at the reception. From the moment I checked in, Nancy went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She was always available with a warm smile and ready to assist with any request, no matter how big or small. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I can’t thank Nancy enough for her outstanding hospitality. I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

We stay here when in LA, great location on the marina, with good size rooms and their restaurant and pool area are excellent.

Biggest problem is the car park and they only allow valet parking. Shouldn't have to pay for parking when you are staying at the hotel. They should provide free valet for hotel guests, or allow a self park area for hotel guests.

Perfect location for our quick stay in LA Room over looked the marina, and also witnessed a few otters in water alongside the boats! Within walking distance (if walking is part of your routine) to Venice beach Restaurant & Bar at the hotel had an amazing selection and the food was delicious- staff was attentive too!

My only criticism is that I hate having my first cup of coffee in a paper cup, especially given the rate of the room. Plus it is not so great for the environment to add more garbage! Paper cups which are covered in plastic wrapping...yuck!

The location was perfect for me being close to Santa Monica and the end of Route 66. I enjoyed renting the bicycle from the hotel and cycling the seafront. The bedroom was comfortable and had a good coffee maker. The bathroom was good and had a nice shower. The bar was nice and had live music outside the few nights I was there. I enjoyed the cheeseburger from the bar menu. The pool and hot tub are great with a nice view of the harbour. My motorcycle was parked safely outside in the hotel carpark with no extra charge.

Nothing to dislike

The Location is great for being in good walking distance to Venice Beach, and some great restaurants. We had a room overlooking the car park, but we were only there for 1 x night so this really wasn't an issue. The room was a great size, we had extra bags so needed a bit more space to sort before flying out next day. Staff were very accomodating with storing our bags on day of flying, as we had a late night flight. The pool area is lovely, very relaxing, was extra nice that they were having a BBQ on the night we were there, celebrating Memorial Day. We would definitely recommend this Hotel.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Beautiful location. Friendly & accommodating front desk and staff. Beautiful pool and views and nice balcony.

No chocolate available anywhere. Dessert menu was lacking. No bread pudding both nights. Only a couple options highly priced and not that good. Restaurant is expensive. Lunch for 2 was $76. Coffee from restaurant late on Thursday was like water but bar staff added a shot of espresso and fixed it. Coffee in room was good. Next time I’d request a room that didn’t have morning sun. No screen door and had a large mosquito. Room was stuffy and needed door open. Fan ran constantly in bathroom and first night it was very stuffy in room didn’t know how to work thermostat. 2nd night was better.

The room was very nice with a comfortable bed, views of the marina were great. I think there were a lot of amenities we didn't take advantage of for various reasons (bikes, pool, gym, restaurants, access to the walkway around the marina). The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful.

I did not love being required to valet my car each day, I guess I missed that in the description. That just added some extra planning and limited our freedom a bit.

We had views of the marina and front of the hotel, palm trees and boats, perfect for us from the UK. Room was large and clean. Had everything we could need. Pool was a bonus as it was open late and my children liked to go in when it was dark and quiet.

Parking was very expensive, but there is a car park just before you reach the hotel at a fraction of the price..if you can be bothered to walk 3 minutes or so. Not that close to anything, we are a family who walk everywhere but it was too much so we used Uber a lot.
