The Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront is the best hotel in Brighton. The Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront is exceptional because of the high standard of customer service and comfort. I stayed in the Executive Room with Full Sea View. This room is outstanding. The breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront 👌

Fantastic location. Lovely rooms with very comfortable beds. Lovely lobby area with sea views. Friendly staff especially concierge Ken and the manager Jerome who has always been very helpful. Felt like a second home. Really lovely hotel and atmosphere.

Only disappointment was that it was freezing cold in the lobby which meant that it was too cold to sit and look out. This is one of the main reasons that we choose the hotel and come away so that we can sit in the lobby and relax especially if the weather is bad. It did make us reconsider visiting again sadly. It also meant that our breakfast was cold before we had finished eating. We did ask at reception (twice - 2 separate days) if the a/c could be turned down but it remained freezing cold. Also parking is really expensive even with the discount which meant that we did not stay as long as we had wanted to.

Location is fantastic and a lovely fresh buffet breakfast. Gorgeous views, worth paying extra for a sea view room

Staff, location, view, room, cleanliness are all excellent.

I have only one complaint and it is serious one. On both Thursday and Friday nights, I was awoken by noisy guests. Thursday was more reasonable - a little after 11pm, but I was awoken at 2.30am by people making noise in their rooms. I asked one group to stop and for a while, they did - then started again. I brought my 88 year old mother this year and last year for a break. I think that like other hotels, there should be signs all around, asking for silence and (also like other hotels) when people arrive, them being reminded to keep quiet. It was unacceptable and detracted from the pleasure of the stay.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is perfectly situated to the tourist sites and venues. Having the parking right next to the hotel was a bonus. The room was large and the bed was really comfortable. Everything in the room worked. Used the gym and the trainer was really helpful with his advice. Nearby restaurants and coffee shops were plentiful.

The only minor gripe we had was the price of the breakfast: The spread offered looked amazing however we would not have done it justice for £18.00 each. We each had a breakfast of smashed avo on sourdough with 2 poached eggs and a coffee each at a nearby coffee shop. Total came to £25 for both. We upgraded to a sea-facing room for an additional cost of £51.00. It would have been good to have the breakfast included.

Room was spacious and clean and neat, and well equipped. The waiting staff at dinner, chef at breakfast and the lovely man who checked me in for breakfast each day were super. The food was great - particularly the wonderful fresh delicious and expansive breakfast.

The reception staff were 'meh' on check in. Half paying attention, slightly condescending, talking more to each other and staring at the screen than talking to me/my colleague. And when I had to come ALL the way back downstairs with my luggage because my room key didn't work they instantly blamed me ('yeah...you've got to keep it away from phones and bank cards?' ) when it had been in my hand the whole time. Not an 'I'm sorry for your inconvenience' at any point. Not impressed. There was no safe in the room, and the 'casting' facility on the tv was patchy.

This was a mini break, which covered a 44 anniversary, and a special birthday. At reception, we were given a room upgrade, ( a Sea view ) a welcome basket, which included wine, chocolates and biscuits. On entry to the room we found a Swan sculpture, made from very clever, towel folding, also of red petals. The room was spacious and welcoming. We used the dining room, for dinner, the menu was limited, However, the quality of food was excellent. In addition the staff were very friendly. Breakfast, was buffet menu, it a was a delight! All most everything you would expect. The hotel, is in a prime location for shopping, theatre, and Brighton Pier.

A fantastic hotel. The staff were exceptional, prior to check in, I had a courtesy call from Jerome who asked if I had any questions. He informed me, I was being upgraded with a gift a lovely added surprise. At our 3pm check in, we were met at reception by a lovely, petite, young girl with long dark hair who could not have been more helpful, welcoming and informative .I was annoyed I did not get her name. Please pass on our thanks to this girl, Jerome and Casey. Really impressed with our room, facilities and the sea view. This hotel is so convenient to attractions, the pier and the shops, great location. First time in Brighton and really loved it, wanted to stay longer. We will definitely be back to Leonardo Royal Hotel.

Parking was easy to access through the hotel and there was a discount however £29 is still quite expensive. Hotel restaurant menu was not to our more simpler tastes though great eating places in the local area.

The location is unbeatable - especially the proximity to the Lanes with all its eclectic shops, pubs and restaurants. The Grand and the Metropole are considerably less convenient in this respect and the other seafront hotels in this area - the Queens Hotel and the Old Ship - are indeed old and (last I checked) rather tired to put it mildly. I especially like the hotels design - rooms built around a huge airy atrium - reminiscent of hotels in Singapore and other Asian cities. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the seating is comfy and very spacious.

SHOWER OVER BATH. For younger people this is probably not an issue but it needs to be mentioned that the standard rooms (which overlook the atrium) have this, which I hate at my age as they can be quite tricky even dangerous to climb in and out of and there is only a small footprint so you cannot move around much, unlike with a walk-in shower. The next day I negotiated with the manager and moved to a superior room with a walk-in shower - and seaview - for another 2 nights. The pillows are good, but not very soft - but one cannot expect everything to be 5* in a 4* hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and the breakfasts were excellent. We also had a meal in the restaurant that was as cheap as prices outside the hotel, and the food was lovely. We will definitely stay here again.

There was no proper lay-by at the front of the hotel to drop off my disabled father as the Lanes car park which is under the hotel has disabled spaces on the first floor, while lifts to the hotel are on the 2nd and 4th floor. Also be aware of parking penalty scammers - I got a ticket for stopping outside to take my father in before joining the car park queue, which wasn't genuine. Please check with Brighton and Hove council if you get a ticket, to see if it is genuine. Scammers send a text a day or two later to say you have an outstanding fine with a link to pay- genuine tickets are never followed up by text.
