Perfect location! On a very quiet street but almost next to the town centre and Palais des Papes. Also I was travelling alone and felt very safe in the hotel and neighbourhood. Reception staff were very helpful.

I had taken a half board package.breakfast looked good though I had just coffee and a madeleine but dinner was very disappointing. I am a vegetarian ( which I had informed the hotel about in advance), and whilst they made a veg option, it was not good at all. But the restaurant staff were very nice.

Great location right next to the city centre. Friendly reception staff, who gave us useful information and how to avoid tourist traps. Breakfast was nice, but nothing special nor were the staff.

Parking at the hotel is a huge pain. In order to bring your suitcases from the multi-story car park, it requires you to traverse through an obstacle course of staircases, with little guidance. There is a space to unload baggage easier, however it is terribly inconvenient, and requires you to reverse park unto incoming traffic which is not made clear unless one had stayed here previously which we hadn't. 2 mins walk into the city which was great

Great location. You can walk to all places you want to see within "minutes". For us that meant we could go back to our hotel room multiple times during the day (take a rest, go to bathroom, etc). The hotel uses the big city parking garage as parking option, and this works very well, with a special door from the parking garage directly to the reception of the hotel. Good options for breakfast in a nice and light rich restaurant

Not too much negative to say! The reception area does not look as "fancy" as the normal hotels, but in a way fit the whole city: lots of hocks, corners, stairs etc. That is what makes the city so charming.

Very easy to park in car park directly under the hotel. Well sign posted. Hotel offered 20% discount on parking making it €15. One night stopover on drive back to UK. Check in was smooth. The double room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. Free water fountain in the corridor and tea/ coffee in the room. Central location minutes walk from the Palais and park and restaurants.

Even though we didn't stay 24hrs charged for entire period €19. When joining hotel Wifi Google prompted me to change my password due to risky connection.

The Mercure was well positioned near historical sites and a variety of good restaurants, The self service breakfast was buffet style with a variety of hot and cold food. The room was comfortable and met our requests. There were quite a few steps in the hotel to reach restaurant, garage etc which can be challenging if you have any mobility issues.

I didn't like the number of steps which were quite challenging especially in the area of the garage when dropping off and collecting car from garage. Did not feel initial instructions for the garage were not made clear causing a slight detour to get back to the hotel.

I found this hotel to be very pleasant, welcoming and comfortable, contrary to some "horror story" reviews floating around from disgruntled guests. The rooms are standard Mercure/Accor hotel style, WiFi was fast, staff good. Very quiet at night - a must for a sensitive sleeper like me! Breakfast particularly nice buffet & enjoyed the little outdoor area for dining. Unbeatable location for palais des papes and the Pont d'Avignon.

Some of the decor & furnishings really need upgrading, carpets, wallpapers etc, would breathe "new life" to the place. There *is* an unpleasant smell at one entrance although I feel this is a side effect of being built practically onto the side of the popes palace - old drains. Had a slight issue with my booking being changed due to misunderstanding with booking.com; can I please ask for some better communication/training about managing bookings without engaging the customer first :-)

When we arrived at the hotel at 1200l, the lady at reception was extremely efficient and happily accepted to store our bags until 1500 when the room was available. This allowed us to go out and explore the city. The location of the hotel was actually superb and could not possibly have been better, since it was right in the very center, next to the Popes Palace and all the Restaurants ...EXCELLENTt!!!! Again, the location of the hotel is SUPERB....Would definitely stay again just for that!!!

The Buffet Breakfast was good in quantity but not quality, as the hot items such as eggs and bacon were always COLD and nobody seemed to check this. We attempted to have a drink at the EMPTY bar one afternoon but were told we could only get service if wee sat on the couch outside the bar, not AT the bar, so we we went outside to a local bar instead. Apart from the young lady who checked us In and Out of the hotel, who was excellent, the other staff seemed rather dis-interested. Seemed very strange that there was no electrical outlet where you could use the Hair Dryer in front of a Mirror.

Very comfortable hotel in a perfect location.

It was difficult to find the hotel initially and even more difficult to find the hotel car park. Car parking was very expensive. Booking.com should be more specific about the car parking ie whether this is on the hotel site, or at a local car park. If at the hotel site the information should include whether this can be booked in advance and what the cost is.

Room Our room was quite small and right next to the elevator. I told the front desk staff that we were not happy with the room, and for a nominal surcharge she was able to move us to a much better and bigger suite.

I do not like it when I am given literally the worst room in the house. When I make a reservation through Booking.com months in advance I expect to be treated with the appropriate respect given to someone who has booked months in advance, not like I have just walked in off the street!

Very close to all the sights. Good cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel’s own restaurant was excellent for dinner. We chose a privilege room. It had a tiny balcony with a nice inner courtyard view, Provincal stone walls and plants. Very quiet. Good bed.

A 50s era building, lots of steps into and around the lobby, not good for mobility challenged guests. Also, decor is dark and dreary in the room.
