Hotel Manoir is my favorite type of European hotel, an old villa that has been renovated enough to be comfortable while still retaining its charm with decor to match. The corner room was lovely, with nice airflow through both windows and a view of the rooftops and vineyards beyond. The room was quite spacious, with nice cozy lighting, a table and chairs and a desk as well. The bathroom was also a decent size. I had requested a room with one double bed, and while this was no longer available on arrival ( I had booked last minute) the front desk was happy to accomodate my request for a bathtub instead. The tub was large with a nice window as well. There are self service drinks available for a very affordable fee near the front desk. While I did not participate in the breakfast, it looked amazing and the breakfast room itself is very charming. Overall it was the perfect little weekend escape and I would definitely return.

The town of Barr does not have very much to offer. There are a few good restaurants but they book up quickly and need reservations in advance. I preferred the quiet of the town compared to others which are full of tourists in Alsace, however I would not consider Barr to be a destination town. The hotel was my destination for a weekend escape and that worked out perfectly. Do not expect much from the the town, or head to neighboring towns for activities, and you won't be disappointed.

Amazing place to stay for the night while driving from the Netherlands to Switzerland via France. Cosy, stylish, very close to center (medieval old center of the village) and restaurants there. The host speaks English and us very welcoming. Felt like spending a night in the fairy tale

The room might be small for 2 people but for one person works perfectly

The atmosphere is fantastic. Excellent garden and incredible view from the window.

Toilet lid was moving. The heater in the bathroom was dusty and the expensive mirror was broken.

Nice hotel in a good location. Parking is very easy, and so was check in. The room was clean and the wifi was good. Some nice restaurants and boulangeries in easy walking distance. Very cute town.

Wonderful and charming hotel ruled by a local family. Very close to the beautiful village of Mittelbergheim (listed as one of the most beautiful villages of France!). The decoration of the room was lovely, like a palace of the Romanticism! The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fruits and local products and delicious homemade marmalades. The garden was fantastic too, definitely a top hotel in the area with a very good price.

A wonderful, old French grand house. It was a lovely surprise and the stay far exceeded our expectations. Great reception and very conveniently located with parking in the premises. Beautiful view from the room, comfortable stay, breakfast salon looked excellent.

Lovely comfortable hotel and very helpful staff. Great breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in this region

The fact that they don't have a restaurant

The host was very nice/friendly. The breakfirst was delicius, and the room was very nice and clean. Barr is also a very nice town. We would very much recomend Hotel le Manoir

Beautiful hotel, excellent location in the atmospheric town of Barr. Very nice breakfast buffet. Spacious room with authentic decoration. Garden. Recommended.

Owner was a typical Frenchman: correct, but not overly welcoming or friendly. His son, however, who helped with the breakfast buffet was an excellent host!

It was an amazing experience to stay in this hotel. You feel the historical atmosphere since the minute you entered. Also we had a very nice breakfast in a very nice restaurant area. I strongly suggest to try it and enjoy !
