Second stay here, and no doubt I'll be back for future short stays in Bordeaux. The person at the front desk was consistently lovely despite the long hours she was clearly working, and she was eager to ensure that we were comfortable. It's small and basic, but clean and comfortable (slept so well), and quiet enough given it's very central location. It also seems to be one of the best value hotels in the area.

A little bit of street noise, but nothing that bothered us much. Aspects of the bathroom could do with a refresh (and shower is a little small, which some might find challenging). TV is also a bit small, but hey, there are better things to do in Bordeaux :)

Lovely central location. Kind personal who were always happy to answer any questions. Nice and clean, both the room and the common areas. Very cozy with cool and local architecture. Good breakfast. The bed was a bit soft but good.

The bathroom was a bit small. I would have had problems sitting on the toilet if I weighted more than I do. My room was placed just above a restaurant/bar which was very noisy at night. Not all personal speaks anything but French.

Great location, good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Allowed use of the left-luggage room for several hours before I checked in.

I booked this hotel because I wanted a cheap single room for one night after a friend flew home - and I got what I paid for, so no real complaints. But if you wanted to stay for two or more nights, the room and bathroom were tiny (when I checked in, the receptionist mentioned she was putting me in a slightly bigger room than the one I'd actually booked!) so it might get a bit uncomfortable. There were no extras like a lift, kettle, tea/coffee, air conditioning etc although a fan was provided. Bedroom carpet and external areas clean (ish) but stained and dated.

The staff were super friendly and informative. Checked in on me whenever I came downstairs and as a solo traveller, this was very welcoming

As its an old building it meant that you could hear people walking around in the room next door, but part of the appeal of the hotel is the age of the building so this wasn't really a bother, but aware that this may annoy other travellers.

The location is excellent, close to everything and a short wall from the tram stop. Friendly, helpful staff. Good French breakfast. Thick double glazing is good for soundproofing.

It is an old building with lots of character but it would benefit from interior redecoration. It has no lift ( but this is made clear) but it is a long walk to the top floor.

best location for staying in the city centre, walking distance to everything. staff were friendly and the room was cleaned daily. as it was in a busy location it was quite loud at night with windows open but we managed to sleep well as the bed was comfortable. basic room and bathroom but we didn’t mind as we weren’t in the hotel for long during our stay.

didn’t have a working room light - but we had long days of day light 0530-1030 each day so it didn’t matter.

Really attentive and helpful staff. The gentleman at reception was very nice and happy to chat even at such a late hour (I arrived at 23:30). I'd asked if the room had an iron/ board which it didn't. He walked the 4 flights of stairs to fetch me an iron and ironing board instead, which I didn't expect. The room was cosy and would definitely stay again.

The location of this hotel is A1, right in the middle of the city and next to the longest shopping street in Europe!! The rooms are small but ideal as its just a place to lay your head at night whilst you explore the city. We asked for two room adjacent each other as we had two teenagers with us. The rooms were perfect as they were in a little alcove off the main stairs. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Area very safe.

Shower head was a bit low, but that's just me being fussy.

I liked the location - it is the best area where everything is very close.

It is old and needs renovation. Also I had the windows at the street so I could hear well the supporters of the rugby match + the bar closes at 2AM.

The property is in the very centre of city. The airport is fairly close with only a 40 minute bus ride and a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The room was a good size and clean with big windows in case you visit during a hot summer period or if the room gets to warm. The staff are very nice and even gave us a travel plug because we forgot to bring ours which was super nice of them.

The showers are not the biggest and the water is unpredictable jumping from warm to cold within seconds.
