The room was good value for money, with all the amenities one would expect. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Extra milk, towels and pillow were provided as requested. The room had excellent external roller shutters which excluded the light well, very useful when trying to sleep. The breakfast was a continental as expected and had all that was required. The hotel is an excellent stop over for when travelling to the south east of France, very French. We were made to feel very welcome and would not hesitate to stay again

A very good continental breakfast consisting of tea or coffee, bread, jams, croissants etc. The Le Royal is well located on a one way street, 5 minutes from the town centre. Where there are many nice bars and restaurants in a quiet location. Arrived at 15.00, parked in free large secure car park and was greeted by the happy smiling owners. Then sat in hotel bar to enjoy a deserved drink after travelling from Chamonix.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay,but did find Casino Supermarche in town centre a bit pricey for general shop and fuel. L'Clerc on the outskirt of town offers more pricewise

The couple that run the hotel made me most welcome and were very friendly. My room was clean and comfortable and I enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning for extra payment. Well worth it!

Lovely, friendly hosts , a cheap but lovely place to stay en route to South of France. Walking distance to good local restaurants. Peaceful location with good parking.

Being overly critical the only complaint could be that the towels proved were very thin.

The comfort of the bed was so good and welcome after an 8-hour drive! We were warmly welcome and felt valued. The location is really good only 5 minutes walk to the town centre in a very quiet part of the town.

Dog-friendly, family-run hotel a stone’s throw from the station and the cultural centre, and not much further from the town centre. Our room was large with an armchair and a desk chair. The shower room and WC were separate. Everything was spotless. Good parking. Breakfast was very good indeed - Continental, but with several choices.

Have stayed here about 8 times, ideal stopping point for a journey further South, as close to motorway, staff are always friendly and welcoming, ,Good off street parking, Nice restaurants within short walking distance, Fairly basic rooms but all facilities and good value for money.Good breakfast.

Kind caring owners were very warm and welcoming. The hotel is clean and well located for town. The car park was handy for the safe parking of the motorbike. Breakfast was good value.

Breakfast was very basic. Long black coffee (only offered one cup); no natural yoghurt, no eggs or ham. I should have asked what breakfast was before I agreed to pay extra for it…
