Great stay on the edge of Bordeaux - but one likely requires a car to get here. There is lots of parking outside and it is close to the Autobahn for easy accessibility. Getting into Bordeaux is fairly simple, as there is a regular (every 30 mins) bus that will take you to the main bridge over the river to get into the city's old town. The location itself is very nice, a very nice old chateau and a lot of open space on the grounds. Rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, a large clean bathroom, and everything else you might except - towels, extra blankets, a kettle, etc. Breakfast was really good with typical French fare (baguettes, cheese, marmelade, etc.). Staff are nice and helpful and speak good English. Overall, for the relatively low price, its definitely a place I can recommend for a weekend (or longer) stay in Bordeaux.

A car is essential - while there is a restaurant on site, if you're not feeling traditional French fine-dining, there is literally no other places to eat in walking distance. Even those that are in driving distance are mostly places like food trucks. As mentioned, the time to get into Bordeaux city centre is quite long, requiring a 25 min journey bus and only running every 30 mins, requiring some forward planning.

This historic Chateau is magnificent - it’s like going back in time. She needs a little TLC here and there but the experience is amazing and the price is very reasonable. We found the restaurant to be excellent as well. All in all, hard to fault.

Nothing - was great. It wouldn’t take much to get it up to a 4 star rating. The colours in the hallways to the room are stark and unbecoming, as are the bland doors and door handles - needs a kick of paint here and there - bathroom door absolutely needs to be a slider - but it’s a magnificent place to stay

Amazing view of the garden from my room; friendly staff; and good breakfast options each morning. Had an amazing birthday stay as a solo female traveller. It's not located in Bordeaux city centre so be prepared to travel at least 20 minutes on the bus - I didn't mind this though and was a part of the reason I opted for this hotel.

It's a wonderful location, the gardens, the restaurant, everything is just wonderful. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless clean. We came by car and a free parking was provided.

We were surprised that such a location was only a 3 stars, perhaps there are some facilities missing but, from our point of view, everything was perfect. No negative points.

The location calm and green; good for relaxing after long trip. Very old trees in the castle garden gave necessary shadow in the hot weather. Air condition in the room OK.

No refrigerator in the room; so no chance to cool water or beer. As outside were 35 degrees and we were desiring something "cool" we went disappointed to bed.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and we also had an evening in meal in the restaurant which was exceptional. The grounds are beautiful.

We didn’t sleep because it was too hot (for us) and there was a fly/mosquito in the room which kept us awake. This was not really the fault of the hotel though.

The atmosphere of staying in a chateau. The food in the restaurant was very good. The gardens were wonderful and we loved having the table and chairs in the little outdoor space.

The rooms aren’t in the chateau but in an annex. The room was small and a bit dark. The bed was very low.

One of the best hotels i have stayed in in our travels,lovely authentic rooms and grounds to relax in.Wonderful very helpful staff who go out of there way to help especially Eugene who we interacted with the most.Our group all have said the same and will advise friends and family to stay if they come to Bordeaux.

I picked the hotel looking at the picture of the breakfast offering "canelles" cakes which were not there. Its a small thing but I was so looking forward to them, they are so nice and I miss them. Also a few more wall sockets in the room , near the bed for instance would help. The restaurant food is exquisite but sometimes you want a simple meal option.

Awesome and beautiful property. Located in a residential neighbourhood, which is what I'm looking for after a day out in the city. Although it's far out, it is possible to reach the city in 30 minutes via bus and tram, which are fuss-free and very convenient. I just Google-mapped my way around after Day 2 (Bus, or walk, and then tram from Floirac-Dravement to reach city centre directly in under 30 mins). The room is huge and the views are amazing. Had the perfect room facing the garden. Service team members are very helpful. Highly recommended if you are looking for some peace and quiet after spending a day in the bustling Bordeaux city centre!
