Would have liked a catch or bolt on inside of Apartment door, proven as although a genuine mistake which I fully understood, meant cleaner let herself in whilst I was still in bed ! Could have been very embarrassing 😂

We got the apartment on the second floor. The staircase is narrow. We had two small suitcases. It would have been difficult to walk the stairs up with a big suitcase. The apartment consists of two levels. On the first one is a living room with a kitchen and a bathroom. It has a sofa , a TV set, a fridge, a stove, a coffee machine, a table, a chair etc. On the second level is the bedroom with the bed and another TV set. The mattress and the pillows were very comfy. There were two small hangers. One in the living room and another in the bedroom.There is a staircase that connects the two levels. The apartment was warm, quiet and clean. It has a nice balcony on the second level overlooking a square. The bathroom had a slight smell but nothing so bad. The shower cabin was modern and clean. The tap of the sink in the bathroom needs attention as the water flow was very low.It has 3 heating panels. One in the bathroom, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the central square. It is in front of a square and it is very quiet. The owner is very helpful. I called him in order to leave our luggage after checking out at the locker which is at the ground floor. He was very kind and helpful. Overall it is a comfortable and clean apartment that is walking distance to the center. I highly recommend it!

The tap in the bathroom needs attention. The water flow was very low. It needs an air freshener in the bathroom.

The apartment is nice, well located, just close to Rue de la Monnaie and Place du Concert. It is more spacious than a normal hotel double room, and it faces a calm little square. Above all, the host is very nice: he let us take the apartment a bit in advance and leave it a bit later. Not a huge thing, but it signals flexibility and willingness to be helpful. Moreover, when arrived, the hair drier did not work. We signalled it and very quickly a new one was left in our room.

It is true that the staircase to get up in the apartment are very small and tight. We did not mind, as we were with little baggage, but for big ones it could be a bit uncomfortable. All the other things were nice, everything worked, so nothing more to add.

We arrived earlier than planned and the host was very helpful in getting the room ready for us a couple hours before the agreed check in time. The location was excellent, 15min walk from the train station through very nice streets. The room itself was clean and spacious, with good kitchen facilities. The bathroom was clean and had a great shower.

Our bathroom window didn't seem to have blinds (or we couldn't find them). It faced internal walls, but was visible from an adjacent staircase. It wasn't a major issue in the end as the staircase was never busy.

The bed upstairs was very comfortable and the balcony was lovely. Although the square is quite busy (unlike impression of picture), there was no noise after closing the windows. We arrived early and after asking, we were granted an earlier check-in time. The location is really great, in a nice neighbourhood with shops and lots of restaurants, on walking distance of the train station and local attractions.

The sleeping couch was uncomfortable, and there were stains on the mattress protector. There was an unpleasant smell from the shower drain.

The apartment was ideal for a couple for a long weekend. Very well appointed, cosy but not cramped. The layout is excellent, as is the shower, with large, fresh-feeling towels. And the location was very good for exploring Vieux Lille.

The building itself is (like many places in Vieux Lille) narrow, and anyone with mobility issues or large suitcases may find the staircase to the top floor difficult (there's no lift). Also, the one disappointment in the apartment itself is that the mattress on the double bed has clearly seen better days, and sags in the middle. If there were a new, firmer mattress I would definitely give the apartment 10 out of 10!

The location was fantastic and we were fortunate to have weather to enjoy the terrasse. The finishes were a bit modern

Very good price given the proximity to the station. Getting in with the code was very easy. The accommodation is no frills, but everything you need is there, clean towels, coffee maker, comfortable bed etc.

There isn't any way of double locking the door from the inside, e.g. a bolt, and as a lone traveller I would have liked the added security of being able to bolt the door.

The apartment is lovely, plenty of light. Very clean and comfortable. The hosts really went out of their way to help me when my phone charger broke. I will stay there again if in the area

Cute room at great location in Old Town

The bins are super tiny and there was no cleaning during my stay. If you stay longer than a couple of days and have some waste, it might be wise to explicitly request cleaning as well as the supply of additional coffee and/ or tea. Upon arrival there was only supply for one day and a very limited selection of teas.
