If you are going to Mont St. Michel and can afford to spend a night here, do it. Way too crowded during the day, but once 6pm rolls around, the streets belong to you. Just remember to book your restaurants in advance as everything closes early here. The hotel rooms were much better than we were led to believe from other reviews. The price is high, but worth it for a once in a lifetime experience. Note to summer travellers: they light up Mont St. Michel Monday night to Saturday Night, so if you want to see that, don't book Sunday like we did. Still a great experience though.

The hotel has an excellent location, easy access to the city's main tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. Right decision to sleep inside on Monte Sint Michel and unravel your paths at night with the city empty of tourists, I highly recommend it! Great bed, new bathroom facilities, excellent shower - hot and good pressure. Service at reception was warm and friendly. It far exceeded our expectations.

Very basic room and bathroom but a lovely view out the bedroom window and everything right outside the door.
At check in, I had to jump the restaurant queue to let them know we had arrived. Was told to come back at 2.30pm (it was 2pm). There’s no where to wait so we stood outside with our bags till someone came at 2.45pm. No coffee or tea making in room. Mont st Michel is super crowded - free shuttle dropping more people every 5-10 minutes. We escaped to room during the day and wandered around in the morning and evening. Was yelled at by woman in café in French. Don’t know what she said but everyone stared. Had lovely dinner at the baie restaurant.

Perfect location and value for money, nestled amongst the tiny streets its location was ideal. I left my main luggage suitcase on the main land in the car and brought an overnight bag as there are many many steps on the Mont! Staying meant I saw the Mont without the crazy crowds, aim to arrive for 2:30 check in or just after to avoid the crowds. It’s very chill and feels like you have the island to yourself for sunset and sunrise. First to the abbey opening in the morning too. Worth staying. The rooms are located in another building down a small winding lane, nice touch
No fridge in the room was the only recommendation

Unique setting on the island, with gorgeous views on Mont Saint-Michel Bay. Room 212 has a good sized bathroom with shower and toilet room. We also had room 214. Your neighbors are seagulls, so you should enjoy hearing their calls before booking these rooms😉
A few niggling things, the lights didn’t work in room 214’s bathroom and was not addressed despite being reported. The towel drying rack did not function in room 214 but the breeze was more than adequate to dry the towels overnight.

The room was very small, but well equipped, and we had a nice terrace with a beautiful view over the bay. The hotel does warn that there are a few steps to climb, so don’t bring heavy suitcases. The room is outside the hotel up the hill and we had wonderful moments in the evenings and the early mornings when no tourists were around.
The room was a bit small. Few storage possibilities.

Mont Saint Michel is a majestic place and the hotel room itself was also situated in a great location with marvellous views. Compared to other options on the island, this is a good choice in terms of value for money. Comfortable, properly equipped and pretty. We had a buffet breakfast in the morning that was to our liking and had plenty options.
Prices are generally high on the island, even this relatively cheap option was quite expensive. Water in the shower was only lukewarm, no hot water.

Lovely little hotel. Friendly staff. Our room was nice and clean. Quite large bathroom which was very much appreciated. Lovely view! We didn't ask and didn't expect for the room to be serviced, but it was a nice surprise to see that they had taken care of it, when we got back. The breakfast was very good. Sweet and savory. And the staff was kind enough to allow people to come in even after the official breakfast time. Thanks all.
The only downside of the hotel is that we needed to walk to another place to get breakfast. I assume this is due to Mont Saint-Michel being small, with old buildings. I had the impression that other hotels had similar distribution of rooms. Nothing dramatic though.

To stay inside Mont St Michel was a dream come true. You have to inform the restaurant counter regarding your check in. We arrived too early for check in so we end up having a three course lunch meal at the restaurant which was yummy considering the amount of customers they had that day. Great job to all the service staff. The beautiful receptionist accompanied all the check ins to their rooms and answered all my questions with poise and grace. A big thank you to the Asian looking man at the restaurant counter area and our server lady with the eye glasses who helped me later regarding our dinner venue. We had a bathroom with a view and sunrise was amazing. To fully understand the Abbey, please arrange an English guide - highly recommended.
Nothing except no curtain in the bathroom, maybe seagulls can only see us.

Stunning views. Beds very comfortable. Good heating and bathroom facilities.
More information about eating options on the island after hours would have been appreciated. We were told we could leave our bags to sightsee - on arrival we discovered that was leaving them outside of the toilets of the restaurant and they 'would be safe'. We opted to carry them all day. We had booked two rooms as they couldn't accommodate our family of 4 in one room - one room was in character with beautiful beams, the other not so, which was disappointing as we paid the same for them. There was also a door that could have meant we could be in the one room, but that option wasn't given to us.
