Staff was friendly and always helpful. The room was a bit small, but that is usual in old buildings. The bathroom however was spacious. Location was excellent! It was close to so many great restaurants, cafes and museums and so very quiet in the night.

There was a coffee/tea maker in the room, but the coffee/ tea/ milk wasn’t replenished enough. We drank our caffeinated coffees every day, but got decaf instead. The heating was a bit hit and a miss. Hard to find a balance, since it was either too hot or too cold. But these are minor things!

Our stay was perfect, large clean room that accommodated 3 of us , room had view of Eiffel Tower, location was great , walking distance to many places and metro around the corner. Bakery next door, minimart across the road, staff go above and beyond to meet your needs.

Bathtub shower, I prefer shower on its own.

Location was excellent, close to everything by walk. Food, restaurants, café and main attraction, Eiffel Tower, Louvre etc.

The transportation from the aéroport to the hotel, the choice of breakfast in the morning. The lack of air conditioning everywhere except the hotel room.

We stayed at this hotel and were extremely impressed! First and foremost, I want to highlight the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we checked in, we felt right at home: the staff is always ready to assist, answer any questions, and do everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In addition, the hotel is perfectly located — its proximity to major attractions and transport hubs makes it an excellent choice for those planning to explore the city. There are many cafes, restaurants, and shops within walking distance, which is also very convenient. We were more than satisfied and will definitely come back again!

Wonderful Hotel Stay! I had an amazing experience at [Hotel de Varenne ]. From the moment I arrived, Alicia at reception made my stay unforgettable. She was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Check-in was seamless, and her helpful tips truly enhanced my visit. The hotel itself was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. Every detail, from the cozy rooms to the thoughtful amenities, was perfect. A fantastic stay overall, thanks to Alicia and the exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning!

Everything was Perfect

Lovely hotel on a quiet street in a beautiful area of Paris, close to everything! Excellent service with staff members who extended themselves to make your stay comfortable. For example, we had a very early train one morning and Stephan had our coffee and breakfast already on the table at 7:00 AM….He did this without us even asking. Highly recommend this hotel if you enjoy the authentic culture of Paris! Robes, slippers, hair dryer and comfortable beds here.

We loved everything. (This is an older hotel with vintage decor…We loved this aspect….Just setting expectations for those who are looking for a more modern hotel.) Would stay here many times!

The location was great, quiet and close to many sites, but not super touristy. Uber was readily available for transportation. There was a grocery across the street and boulangerie a few doors down, the restaurant Brasserie Le Bourbon was just a couple of blocks away, and our friends enjoyed a meal at Au Coin de la Rue. The included continental breakfast was fresh with good coffee. The staff was kind and helpful and had our room ready early for check in. The beds were very comfortable, we asked for and received a top sheet as it is not usually provided in most of the European hotels we have stayed in. The courtyard was a beautiful place to meet with our traveling companions and relax and have a drink.

It was difficult to shower without a lot of water getting on the floor of the bathroom due to the design of the enclosure.

Our third time staying in this treasure of a hotel in the 6th. arrondissement. A traditional boutique hotel, the hosts Jerome, Maree, and Oliver were friendly and helpful. A quiet area close to a metro and within walking distance to many attractions. We stayed in a suite this visit and it was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. It's very clean and the breakfast is good. We will always stay there again when we visit Paris.

The hotel is just around the corner from the Musee Rodin. It seems to be family-run and has a homey touch. My room was ok.

I did not have much of a view. My room faced the opposite wall in a courtyard. I also would have appreciated a comfortable chair to read in the room. There would be enough space for it.

All of it, the amazing staff especially the night man who was engaging and very personable, sorry didn't get his name but works 4 nights a week. The room was exceptional and the area the hotel is was in was central to everything.

The only thing that made life challenging was the shower set up getting in and out of a very high bath for showering with no rail to grip was not the easiest.
