Location absolutely brilliant, with all of the major tourist attractions within walking distance and also just a minutes walk from a metro station. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and breakfast in the restaurant was lovely. The rooms were very nice and clean. We would book this hotel again in future.

Only one very minor point! - We booked two rooms that both advertised as having tea/coffee making facilities, but only one of the rooms had this. We did ask for another kettle and the staff said one would be sent up to our room, but it didn't arrive. In the end we shared the kettle and coffee machine with the other room in our booking - not a huge problem for us as a group booking, but it would have been a shame if we had not had the option to share the other room's facilities.

We stayed in Room 42. The room was beautiful, chic, cozy, and spotless with a nice balcony for fresh air. We loved the location it was very close to Champ de Elysee and a metro (Franklin Roosevelt). You can walk to most major sites in about 15 to 30 minutes. The metro line is about two or three stops from the Lourve and other major tourist sites are reachable in about 10 minutes. The breakfast was excellent (omelet, bread, jam, coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit) and freshly prepared. We were there during the heat wave and were very pleased to have working AC. The customer service was great and Leon went over and beyond to make our stay excellent including arranging for transportation to the airport! We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!!!

Just a block off the Champs Elysees, the hotel is located on a small street lined with a variety of bistros. Super convenient to Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre. Room was larger than I expected from a European hotel in the heart of Paris. The bed was super comfy and room was spotless. Front desk staff were all extremely warm and friendly. They answered our questions and helped us with booking cabs. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready yet (we didn't expect it to be), the staff stored our bags as we went off to explore. When we returned our bags were already in our room. I wish we had gotten their names. We were always greeted with a smile and a friendly "Bonjour". Included breakfast was provided by the coffee shop next door. Choices were limited, but the food was fresh and perfectly prepared. The coffee was excellent.

We have no complaints. We were very comfortable here. one note to anyone with mobility issues. The Mathis has a teenie-tiny elevator (one person and a suitcase). The staircase to the rooms is circular around the elevator. We had no problem, but it might be hard to navigate if you are less mobile.

Location is perfect. Many popular sites can be reached on walk and metro stations (line 1 and 9) are close. You can also find many restaurants nearby. The room (deluxe room) is larger than usual rooms in Paris. Most of all, the staffs at the front are so kind and helpful. (Especially, the monsieur I met at check-in and check-out made my stay wonderful!. Sorry for not knowing the exact name) I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again when I return to Paris!

I could not stay longer.

Location was amazing, lively neighborhood one block from the Champs Elysées with a multitude of cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores in the vicinity. Super quiet room (#51) with tea kettle and small refrigerator. Water and soft drinks were free, comfortable bed. There is an adjoining cafe where you can get breakfast or hang out.

The elevator is charmingly over 80 years old and can accommodate only 1 or 2 people with luggage, but it’s better than taking the stairs up 5 flights!

- The staff and their hospotality was exceptional - The location is super central (literally next to the Champs Elysées) and well connected - The room was nice, and spacious enough (especially for Parisian standards) - There were complimentary drinks

Overall we had a very nice stay here. If I have to say something negative, then the only thing was the entrance of the room was a little dated, but it didn't bother us much, and did not take away from the experience.

The location was great. Everything I wanted to do was in walking distance. Staff always friendly and polite. Room was clean tidy, really comfortable bed which was made everyday.

Although there was a mini bar, would have been nice to have tea and coffee facility. I loved the bathroom, great shower, although there was a drape to cover the window, for privacy at night when the bathroom light is on would have been better with a blind, so no one could see in.

the location is fantastic - very close to champs-elysee, metro and petit / grand palais. staff were very helpful and junior suite rooms were a good size.

lift is old and very narrow, fun at first and then a bit awkward to use. the room was a bit dusty so putting stuff on the floor wasn’t ideal. the safe in our room was broken but the reception has one you can use.

Well located near Champs Elysées, metro and bus line at walking distance, restaurants also are easily reachable. Staff was very kind and hotel/room was more than we were expecting : clean, space, elevator to reach last floor where was our room. coffee machine in the room, well equipped bathroom. We did not have breakfast through the hotel, several bakeries around can be used

Nothing related to hotel, just Paris being so dirty.

My sister and I had a great short stay at Hotel Mathis Elysees. We were in Paris for a few days and we chose this hotel mainly for the location and the room size (which is larger than most hotel rooms of comparable prices). The check in was quick and staff were friendly throughout our stay. Moreover, they speak multiple languages, so there weren't any barriers in communication. The room met our expectations - I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the fact that we couldn't hear any outdoor noises. They had a daily cleaning service.

Overall this is a place I would recommend, so the aspects below were minor inconveniences that didn't affect our stay, but other travelers may want to know about. One thing we noticed is that we could hear noise coming from the other rooms - like the water going through the pipes when someone would use the shower, or the noise of the blowdrier when someone would dry their hair. A second aspect is the fact that the floors are relatively uneven and there is quite some creaking when moving around. Considering that we only spent a couple of hours each morning/evening in our room, these minor issues didn't bother us too much.
