The hotel was situated between Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est and so was a real hub for transport connections. The beds were comfortable and there was a European pillow and a very long cuddle pillow The water was hot and the elevator was really quiet though it was beside our room. There were a Lethe number of food outlets, restaurants, boulangeries and supermarkets nearby. The staff were mostly bilingual. There were extra blankets if required and good ventilation. There was a beer vending machine in the small foyer.

Our room was nicely decorated though a little dated and the bathroom was a little cramped on the sixth floor with the sloping roof. The wifi was very average and relatively slow. The toilet lid would not stay up which was a challenge for a man.

We loved the sense of it being a traditional old Paris hotel. Fascinated by the old shoe shiner machine in the dining room m. Friendly welcome. Good convenient location, close to Gare du Nord. Good eating places nearby. We liked the little balcony. We would return.

Bathroom was a bit small ... we are both 6 foot tall. The shower worked well but there was no hot water. We overheard a comment from a staff member that the water heater had stopped working that day. I got the impression that it was an unusual occurrence.

Great location and good value for money. I stayed here for 3 nights and slept well.

I left my luggage as I arrived early before check-in time. Reception asked me to leave the bag near the seats in the lobby and said she’ll take care of it. I believe there was a room for luggages, if not then maybe take your bags with you. I came back 2 hours later the bag was still in plain sight in the lobby for anyone to take it. Glad it was still there!

The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The location was perfect and easily accessible to many sites and transit. The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean, with a spacious shower. It was nice to have a window overlooking the street. Overall a very pleasant stay!

My room wasn't ready when I arrived though I arrived very late at night and there may have been a misunderstanding from the night guard thinking I was not going to show. The room planned for me had significant repairs and was not ready but they offered me a different room to spend the first night and I moved into my regular room the next day. It was a slight inconvenience and I appreciated the hospitality of the staff in accommodating me.

Excellent location and close to Guard De Nord station and a 5min walk to the metro, close to everything and just a train ride away, staff were very friendly and helpful to me as an English speaker. Room was small but cosy and had a Juliet balcony which was great to watch the world go by, felt very safe where I was and has a 24 hr concierge which was excellent. I would stay here again.

Great value for money in an expensive city. Location so close to Gare du Nord was ideal. Late check-in was a key feature for us and very much appreciated. Shower was nice; temperature and pressure just right. Room is rather compact but that was expected so no marks dropped there.

Minor detail was the lack of somewhere to hang a coat. A coat hook on the back of the door or somewhere would be a cheap and simple fix!

It was very much appreciated to have a private shower room with our bedroom. The elevator worked fine and was nice to have as we were at the 3rd floor. The bedroom was big enough for the two of us for a very good price.

We were looking for a queen size bed in our room, yet we got two single beds ! We would have liked to have a double bed instead. The shower got clogged , not sure why nor how... The breakfast is always the same, no choice to change it from time to time.

The staff were very polite and helpful, the room was clean, as was the bathroom and the hotel is in a very convenient location for transport to different areas of the city. Other reviews indicate that this is not a good place to stay but I disagree. Leaving keys at reception whilst leaving the hotel in the day presented no issues- the hotel staff always recognized us to give us the correct key and it prevents it from being lost or stolen.

The room is small, but cosy, very clean and the stuff make all the efforts to feel comfortable. They are really kind and friendly. It's a great value of money.

The area is full of hotels and sometimes there are people, specially men a bit too curious and bodacious. Also, if you feel sick, don't call the ambulance. We had a bad experience, because they asked for money (250) just for the transport to the hospital which is supposed to be free. The emergency hospital is 300 m away from Gare du Nord, so really really close..Please walk there if it is possible!

I thought the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was good value for money and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was placed in an area which was convenient for eating out and going to places around Paris easily. The room was quiet and I could tell their was soundproofing which was fantastic as my daughter has autism and this kept things less overwhelming. Room was clean and I think the rooms have been renovated recently so was a very nice place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Paris for sightseeing.

One night I could smell someone smoking in their room near me, not the fault of staff but was not ideal considering I was staying with my child in this hotel.
