Location was great. Close to metro tops and train station. Room was spacious

Air conditioner was turned off and when we asked at reception we were told that they don't activate the air conditioners until much later in the season. We stayed there early May. Shower available over bath, which meant that you had to step into the bath tub to use the shower. Bath very slippery and nowhere to hold on to. Makes it very unsafe, especially for elderly people.

The location is superb. 5 mins walk to Gare Montparnasse and 2 other Metro stations (Gaite & Edgar Quinet). Plenty of eating options around including Asian food. The hotel is right in front of a Vietnamese restaurant which we loved. Our room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay.

No iron and ironing board in the room. In fact, the hotel provides only ONE iron for usage of entire hotel guests on the 4th Floor. This means you have to queue to use the iron if others are using it. This is mind boggling considering Mercure is an international chain hotel. The management should consider providing one in each room.

Loved the express breakfast. Everything was really fresh & the service was quick. The hotel was really close to the metro & lots of nice cafes & restaurants near by. The bar & restaurant was great - nice atmosphere to have a drink at the end of the day.

The room was really hot & the air con didn’t seem to work. It was too noisy to keep a window open at night. The sofa bed wasn’t the same quality as the double bed.

Delightfully comfy beds, clean, quiet, great neighbourhood of small theatres, bars and creperies in the Rue de Gaiete, short walk to three metro stations.

The lack of an outdoor facility for smokers means lots of cigarette butts on the pavement outside the hotel. The rooms have only basic extras (no percolator, no body lotion).

Location superb as we travelled by train/metro around Paris - so easy Lots of places to go out and eat around the hotel, the area is busy - but we were not disturbed by any noise at night Room was more than adequate and we could not fault the level of cleaniness

I'm gluten free - and the breakfast did not cater for this, therefore my choice was extremely limited

Beautiful room overlooking the city (loved that I could open the window). Room was away from the elevators, quiet, and gave my wife & I a great night's rest on our last night in France. Bonus - the bartender was able to make a wonderful extra dry, vodka martini...and was the only good one we got in France during our 10 days.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Location, great metro links everywhere. Supermarket and restaurants all close. Eiffel tower and other attractions within 3km, could even walk there. Comfy bed, clean room.

Noise from the street, 4:30 in the morning rubbish truck and others. No sound proof windows. We arrived at 2 am and the soaps in the bathroom were empty, not a nice surprise when after 600km we just wanted a shower and bed.

Location was perfect. My family and I arrived from overseas for a 3 night stay before taking the TGV from Gare Montparnasse to the south. We were able to easily walk to the train station for our train. The rooms were well-sized and it was great that each floor had its own water station that provided room temperature, cold or sparkling water.

Location excellent ( for access to Metro and variety of super local restaurants and bars). Air con excellent. Noise- very quiet. Room clean and functional.

Kettle worked intermittently (when I talked with Reception, man said kettle was o.k. because it worked when he tried it). Small face mirror in bathroom was unstable on its bracket and therefore difficult to use). Bathroom was very cramped.
