The staff was fantastic and very helpful. Helped us book a airport shuttle upon check in. Staff helped us carry our bags down the stairs and to the shuttle. The breakfast was lovely with a good variety. Location was great except for the metro where there were some unsavory people hanging around but other then that it was wonderful.

The stairs were a problem as they are very steep. Wouldn’t stay there if you were unable to carry suitcases up lots of stairs.

Very clean and the staff was very helpful and kind. The location is perfect.

Breakfast could be organized better and have a little more sustenance. Hot water Kettle in the rooms and hanger for towels would have been great. The sound from the stairs was very loud. I had to get new wifi passwords a few times.

Great location, near metro and bus station, with good connections and lines! There was a little bit suspicious people, but no one will attack you, and the police officers were there almost every night, so no need to worry.. it wasn’t noisy at all, we were sleeping as lambs! 😊 rooms are a little small, but you’re not gonna play football match in it, you just need it to sleep and dress.. sink is ok, it is small, but you can use it if you know how you wan’t be splashing around! 😄 bed was very comfotrable, which is most important! Breakfast was very delicious.. stuff very kind and friendly! Smells great, clean towels and floors every day!

I only have good things to say about my stay here. After reading some reviews here you would think this is a bad hotel but my experience was absolutely fine. As for the price, this is Paris and for it's location it is reasonable compared to other hotels. The reception and cleaning staff were lovely and the hotel was clean and well kept. I saw them helping multiple guests during my stay. The rooms were newly and nicely decorated. We are fit so the stairs didn't bother us and you are in Paris - there are plenty of stairs and walking to be done naturally. I didn't get the breakfast so cannot speak on that. Yes the immediate area isn't somewhere you'd want to hang around in, but I never felt unsafe. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you to the Eiffel tower and a few minutes walk you're in the prettier areas of Montmartre. However, the noise of the street is audible with the window shut and I woke up some nights with outside activities which is not the fault of the hotel. I was on the 4th floor. Even with the noise from outside, I would stay at this hotel again for its location to Gare du Nord station. I cannot comment on the bad reviews here, but some people can expect too much/more and probably have not researched the hotel/area well enough before coming and finding this does not suit them. Also for the tourist tax, this was paid during my booking. When I checked in I sent them a confirmation of my booking and the tax paid to their email address so I didn't pay twice. I also got my deposit back the same day later on. No issues with this at all like some others have written here in reviews. Be kind to one another 🙂

The street noise can be heard.

Hello everyone, the place is alright, but the location is not good you have lots of refugees over there. As food for breakfast you are served 2 croissant and 2 baguette with water, coffee and juice of ur choice. Rooms were always cleaned up. The downside that we got is the deposit you pay when you chek-in for damages. After the check-out on our last date we asked about the deposit and they assured us that this is an automatic procedure and it will be send back after 3 pm. 1 whole week later we still haven't recieved our payment back, i asked them if there's any problem and they said that they did everything and the refund is on its way, but it wasn't! After some research i found out that there are many more people that haven't recieved they payment.

The hotel was located near the Sacre Coeur, many great restaurants and the Barbes metro station. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. A light breakfast of coffee and pastries with Nutella, cheese or jam was included. Our room was spacious for three people with a couch that converted to a bed.

The shower was a good size but the water temperature changed from very hot to very cold sometimes without touching it. Be aware that there is not an elevator but a charming spiral staircase that could be a challenge for some. Luckily our room was on the first floor.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a superb choice for travelers on a budget, offering a harmonious blend of comfort, convenience, and service. - The team at the hotel was not only friendly but also highly competent, with excellent English skills. This made communication seamless and added a layer of comfort to my stay. - The breakfast offerings were diverse and satisfying, a perfect start to the day. - Situated just a minute's walk from a metro station, the hotel's location is unbeatable. It allows for easy access to the city's main attractions. - My room was tidy and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. - With a variety of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, everything I needed was within easy reach.

- The bathroom felt a bit cramped, particularly the sink area. A little more space could enhance comfort. - Sounds from the street were occasionally audible at night. While not overly disruptive, lighter sleepers might notice. - The vicinity of the nearby metro station attracted some sketchy individuals at night. However, with four additional metro stations within a 10-minute walk, I never felt this compromised my safety or convenience.

Stayed with my family (one little 4 years old child) for five days, it was very comfy stay with friendly staff who offered help all time even though I didn’t speak French. Breakfast was delicious, they offered all types of cheese and yogurt. And for 5 days it was enough to fuel you with energy, at the beginning of the day. Our room was on fifth floor, it wasn’t at all as bad as reviews say, on the contrary i loved the higher view of busy streets. Neighbourhood was as normal as any other busy city, with many people of different colours and cultures, and that is amazing, Deposit were released after 5 working days, used IDEAL payment. Totally I highly recommend the hotel.

There are some suspicious people selling cigarettes at entrance of train station, but guess what, in-front of the hotel there is a bus station where it can get you anywhere.

Very nice hotel, next to Sacre Coeur, up in the north of Paris. Lady Receptionist was very welcoming and spoke English. The night receptionist guy was also very nice and helpful.. The hotel is very modern and has beautiful decor interior. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bathroom was new and modern.. Me and my fiancee were up on the 5th floor with a veiw of Sacre Coeur, which was beautiful.. We had breakfast included, the reception will ask do you want 1 croissant or 1 choc brioche bun.. But that is not all you get. They have a small cozy breakfast area, next to the reception, where you help yourself to Cheeses, yoghurts, your 1 Croissant, bread rolls, orange, juice and coffee. Also after we checked out, they looked after our luggage for the day, until we returned at night to collect and go to the airport. Travel Directions from Charles De Gaulle Airport : Follow signs for the train, buy a return ticket (£23) from the ticket machine. We travelled to the main train station in Paris called Gare De Nord. Then follow the Pink M4 sign for the Metro pink line.. Hotel Nation is only 1 stop away from Gare De Nord, the metro station is called Barbes Rochechou. The hotel is in the side street at the side of Burger King.

Only one thing and i know everyone will write the same thing.. THE STAIRS because there is NO Lift.. Disabled or Old people will not be able to climb the stairs.. So this hotel is more suited for under 60s.. There are 5 floors, so try and ask for lower floors if you dont like stairs..
