Very convenient location in the center, close to everything, the building dates back to 1910, so don’t expect modern furnishings, but the room was surprisingly spacey and everything was clean and comfy. The receptionist - Sonia - was very helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast was nice with a very pleasant staff. All in all, I had a very nice one-night stay, and if I ever find myself in Pau in the future, I will stay in BW again.

Excellent location. Old hotel with lots of character with antique furniture and paintings etc. Receptionist spoke good English. Lovely large room which was very clean. Breakfast very good. Good free car park very close to hotel, but you need a code to enter.

Restaurant was closed, but lots of others nearby. The only lift was not reliable and broke down twice on a two night stay. We were assured this was not normal for the hotel. We did not get the code for the car park before we arrived. The car park was quite difficult to find so a map/instructions to find it and the code given in advance would have helped very much.

The hotel is very centrally located for everything in the town and the Promenade des Pyranees. Loved the charm of the hotel. Staff were all excellent. Free parking with an electric car charging point which is also free. (Parking needs to be reserved and one EV charger which is a first come first served basis).

Breakfast a little over priced for the choice available and small appetites. The hotel could benefit from a little upgrading/decorating without taking away the charm. These are minor points and we had a lovely stay.

It was a stopover hotel for us enroute back to Santander . We arrived late after struggling to find the carpark so parked in public carpark . We did not make full use of the facilities or explore nearby but the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very good and the staff very attentive .

Great rooms, which where cleaned while we where out on the first day, staff where very friendly and a fantastic location for the city center with a safe underground car park for the bikes. Breakfast was good even though it was very busy there was plenty of choose from

Can't think of anything that could of been improved to make the stay any better.

Reception staff were very friendly and advised us of where to walk dog with benefits of shade. Very hot. Always nice to have bath as well as shower. Aircon was welcome.

As hotel is older, the aircon was portable. Little noisy but pleased to have it.

The receptionists, especially 'Annabell so helpfull,spoke to us in English.Hotel in a good position for the sites.Good parking .Secure.100mtrs from the Hotel.Nice big terrace for our little dog.Certainly pet friendly.

The one way system round 'Pau' !!!. When you eventually found the Hotel you can park quickly and get the car park code for the garage from reception.

Large spacious room in city centre and free parking (if reserved in advance) in private underground car park. Unfortunately we had an internal room so the view was poor and best ignored.

Facilities for tea coffee in the room were very limited which was surprising for a best western hotel. The bathroom layout was open plan meaning the toilet had a door but the bath/shower was open to the room.

Good breakfast, excellent location, easy to find (with Google maps) free parking. Very close to parks and shops, but don't arrive Sunday! Helpful staff.

Lack of evening restaurant. A certain faded elegance in the decor.
