Good location within easy walking distance to a number of good restaurants and points of interest and despite it's location its on a quiet street. Check in and check out was very easy and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times during our stay. There is parking at the hotel but it would pay to book in advance. Our room was on 4th floor but there is a lift so no issues there. It was very clean and tidy with comfortable bed and a good bathroom. We would certainly stay again if in the Pau area. Breakfast was good with a selection of cold meat, cheese, croissants and fresh bread. If you want a boiled egg you can cook your own at the servery. Staff are on hand to get coffee or tea.

We cannot think of anything that we did not like.

Gosh what a fab hotel - very stylish, very good sized rooms and facilities. Bedroom was very comfortable and bathroom was a good size. Great location - central to everything. Continental breakfast was fresh, filling and well worth it. What was a stand out was the quality service from everyone- the reception staff in particular who were relaxed, engaged and focused on the customer, and very personable. I would like to put this on my recurring itinerary for every year if it were possible.

Possibly one of the best breakfasts we had during our 3 weeks in France. The reserved parking was excellent, directly in front of the hotel. Beautifully decorated, the hotel has a charming period feel It was great to have a Nespresso coffee maker in the room Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and provided instructions how to access the car park and room ahead of our arrival Major attractions are within easy walking distance Staff were happy to provide suggestions for restaurants

Flies in the room were annoying The bathroom was a little austere and some aspects of the hotel looked a little tired The one way road system through the city was hard to negotiate A fridge would have been good to keep milk cool for drinks

to be perfect it could use some additional pillow options. the shower spray can escape the lovely triangular bath and there did not appear to be a drain hole for the spilt water. (this is very picky and should not influence you to avoid the property.) just a suggestion for future improvement.

From the moment I checked in I felt that it was a personal connection. The staff cared that I would be happy. Everyone I met who worked there was polite, interested and pleasant. The room was beautifully decorated, understated elegance - I felt like a celebrity, although I did upgrade my room from the basic classic on offer.

I only spent one night. I would have liked to spend longer and I will return to Pau and stay at this hotel.

The perfect location in the center of Pau .You can reach all the attractions by foot.The design of the hotel and the room was beautiful , French style.The room was big and very clean .The bed was comfortable and the shower was good .Super value for the money.The service was excellent,helpful and very kind . The location is excellent for exploring the town as was the front desk team who recommended two excellent restaurants to eat at. The off-road parking is very useful.

The breakfast was not so good, with poor staff attendance. The egg with breakfast consisted of boiling your own egg! The interior design of our room was pretty awful with green walls and huge golden fish being the dominant feature. The hotel needs a refit and the quirky breakfast requires a rethink.

What a Lovely, clean, classic hotel! The best in our 7 weeks across France. Perfect location. Delicious breakfast. They recommended The Berry to dine at on a Monday when everthing else was closed and we had one of our top 5 meals there. Air conditioning, what a delight as all of the hotels had turned theirs off for the season while in the high 80's. So, no misquitos or bites....big plus. Pau was a surprise for us and may be where we retire as it is perfect for someone in a wheelchair. The staff went out of there way to upgrade and help us with my disability to walk. Beautifully decorated. Stay here, you will not regret it!

Not a thing other then, we should have stayed longer!

This is a beautiful hotel, as we arrived opera was playing in the background. The hotel was tastefully furnished with antiques and art. Very comfortable with great bathroom.

The only reason I mark this lovely hotel down is that we could hear a boiler or pump starting up and stopping throughout the night. This may have been specific to our room. If this was sorted I would be giving the hotel a higher score.

Fantastic location in the centre of Pau, handy for shopping, bars and restaurants and visiting the Boulevard and old town/chateau. This is the second time we have stayed at Le Bristol and the staff have always been excellent; very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and stylish.

It was 38 degrees when we visited and the air conditioning wasn’t very effective in the room.
