Nice reception and lobby, bar and restaurant. Staff very polite. Very convenient underground garage. There was quite wide choice for breakfast. We were allowed to leave our car in the garage a couple of hours after check out, which was very helpful. Good size room, AC, mini fridge to keep your drinks cool. Location perfect, walking distance to the centre (around 8 mins) and train station (18 mins).

Bathrooms in the rooms need to be update and get rid of plastic from there, which is rotten from the bottom, and also very small size to move around. Bit disappointing was tea/coffee maker which was only a kettle (and instant coffee) on the top of of the cupboard with no socket (had to take the kettle to bed side table to boil the water). Even breakfast had good choice, there were always missing glasses, spoons, coffee pods, etc. No vegetables, little fruit.

Room was comfortable and clean, location very central

While staff were polite and helpful, check-in was very slow, and there seemed to be new staff also being trained up. Also on the day of our check-out, there seems to have been a large party of young people in the hotel, who were spreading themselves around in the lobby of the hotel, with feet up on the furniture, generally making access through the lobby very challenging for other guests. The staff did not address this during the time we were there.

Nicely decorated room. Nice to be welcomed with a smile even though we arrived late in the evening. I really like the Mercure hotels as they are usually of a high standard and better than most other 4 star hotels. The hotel was within a short walk to the cathedral and town Centre. Bed was comfortable and nice to have a couple of chocolates on the bed as a welcome. A variety of channels available in English.

The parking facilities were not adequate for our needs and need to be made clearer when booking. The booking details said cots were available and asked for when booking the rooms. We also asked for one at reception when we arrived and we’re told it was in the room which it wasn’t. Apologies were heart felt and accepted. Nothing but a bottle of water in the mini bar was a bit disappointing.

The Hotel has parking, big plus and is only minutes away from the Cathedral. The Hotel sells Champagne with was unexpected but made for a wonderful souvenir. We loved the coffee option in the room.

We asked for rooms close to each other and ended up on different floors. We thought booking 4 Months out should have been possible to accommodate for.

Reims is a good choice for an overnight stay on the drive across France as it’s no distance at all off the motorway network. The hotel is well situated in the town for access to the restaurants and other interests. We particularly liked the breakfasts and the light, airy dining room. The underground car park with direct access to the hotel is highly desirable

The bathrooms are small but ours was particularly cramped as it had a piece taken out of it for service equipment

Great location - 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral, next to the river/canal. Room was very large, hotel very quiet at night. Air conditioning worked well. Bed was very comfy, plenty of wardrobe space. Breakfast was very extensive, so much choice and very fresh and tasty. Bar and reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.

No CCTV in the outside parking area - vehicle was stolen when parked overnight.

The location was excellent the room was comfortable and the bed was large and very comfortable. Purchased a case of champagne from reception which had a number of champagnes on offer. Used the dining area with mixed results. The food was OK, presented in a nice way and the staff were very attentive. Overall would use this hotel again as staff very friendly, the room was hygienically clean plus a good nights sleep.

The bathroom shower was a bad design which could be easily fixed with a far superior shower screen. This could be in a way of a pocket screen door or a larger fixed screen. The rest of the bathroom was clean and very well presented.

Secure parking and efficient service and checking in

It was showing on Booking.com as parking included but when we arrived it was charged a extra . I also cut my heal on the base of the shower tray which was made of marble and had become sharp over time and needs to be sanded.

Easy to find and secure parking. We were delighted with the restaurant for dinner, having trailed around Reims to find most restaurants were closed for August, full, or had nothing for vegetarians. The Mercure restaurant offered a delicious omelette frites and we had an excellent meal.

The breakfast room was a bit chaotic with queues for the coffee machine. The bathrooms are small and uninspiring.

Seems to be popular with your groups-came back late afternoon and had to wait some time to get the lift to our floor as there were dozens of folk in the tour group trying to get to their rooms.
