Well, this was "different." This was a refreshing bit of charm and charisma when compared to all the standardized hotels of the world. While the hotel looks old in the pictures, it was very pleasant despite the fact most of the decor could be classified as antiquities. My stay was very comfortable - the beds were great, the bathroom was clean, bus stop and metro were close to the hotel. I can highly recommend this for a stay in Rennes.

The vending machine does not accept contactless payments - I was crawling on my "late-night thirst run" there to find that I didn't have enough EUR coins to get a can of soft drink. Not a bit issue, though. :-)

The selection offered for breakfast was exceptional and the dining room was full of items useful to visitors. Care and attention was given to the needs of travellers very rarely seen. Most accommodation is geared to maximising profit and finding ways to extract additional revenue from visitors. It was unusual to see that this was not the case with this hotel.

We do not like coffee vending machines in general which are particularlly unsuitable for those who enjoy drinking black tea which needs water hot enough to properly infuse the tea. Vending machines provide water that is not hot enought so the inclusion of a kettle or hot water urn would be a nice addition. We understand they are very common in France. We noticed other guests were somewhat confused by the operation of the machine although it did not require the input of money.

Certainly a hotel with personality. The decorations are fun and only slightly creepy. There is a lot to discover. The rooms and funiture was old but clean. The breakfast was great, esp. for the price. Decent location, too and fairly quiet.

I liked the vintage charme of the hotel but they could really replace the sheets and blankets. They seemed decades old and the sheet had a hole in it. The lady at the check-in was pretty rude or annoyed.

Interesting hotel with interior in the style of the first half of the 20th century - perforated cards as keys. Friendly staff. Rather clean. Good value for money. Quiet neighborhood outside the center. From the second half of 2022, a new metro line is to connect to this district, which will facilitate access to the center (now there are city buses). The hotel has its own green areas with benches - you can sit on a bench under a tree in the hotel garden during the day.

The window of the room overlooked the terrace of the hotel restaurant, which made noise until late in the evening - loud conversations of restaurant guests, which just makes it difficult for me to fall asleep. In hot weather, the lack of air conditioning is uncomfortable.

The location of this hotel close to the Ring road was excellent. The parking was excellent The decor in the hotel foyer and lounge was excellent. The patio and gardens were excellent

The rooms were very small - suitable for single travellers or 2 people who love each very much. There was no shower curtain so the bathroom floor tended to get wet

My room was a bit small (you can feel a bit as stying in a ship cabin), but it is large enough for one staying for several days. The bathroom is nice with small bathtub. The breakfast is very good, even you can make freshly squeezed orange juice here. But what is really distinguished here - the decoration of public places - it was made with real love.

My room was under the roof (with a nice view btw), so the it was a bit hot during my stay here as it was really scorching heat outside.

The hotel is cozy and decorated in a special way (although I couldn't fully understand the theme :)). The position, between two metro stations, is quite practical to easily reach the city center. Good value for money overall.

In my room there was a bathtub with no shower curtain; a shower would have been in my opinion more practical. WiFi signal did not look very stable.

The hotel is cozy and has a homey ambience. It offers free parking, clean rooms and comfy beds. It is well connected to the city center by metro access.

The bathroom, having an open bath tub is a bit outdated and really challenging to use after taking a shower, since everything is wet.

I really liked the 60s & movie-themed vibe of the hotel. though we arrived after the check-in time (after 23.00) and the reception was closed, they found a solution for this. I really appreciated this. The breakfast was delicious.

The location of the hotel, not knowing the city before, i would have probably reserved a taxi ahead. Note: I don't think UBER works in Rennes, as I tried a lot to book a car. In the end we took the metro and walked for couple of minutes to reach the hotel.

I loved the vintage decoration and ecletctic vibe. There was always something that caught your eye.

The location is a bit off from the center but once we figured out the metro it felt easier to get back. It would help to know where the nearest grocery was so we could buy some necessities.
