Great small hotel. Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. On street, free parking a huge bonus. Very close to Cathedral and quiet gardens as well as bustling little Rue Colbert with great choice of places to eat. We will return and hopefully stay longer than just one night. Thank you.

The hotel is ideally located in the central area of Tours. It is relatively small and so does not offer the facilities of a larger more modern establishment. A very adequate continental breakfast is served. The hosts were delightful.

Mainly my own fault during the booking process, but we ended up with a small room on the top floor which was quite unbearably hot and the fan provided did little to help this situation. The (comfortable) double bed was against the wall, so difficult for one side to get in/out. So a word of warning to any intending guest - avoid the 3rd floor, particularly during hot weather or if in any way mobility impaired.

The Hotel du Manoir is a very nice hotel and much better than we would have expected for 2 stars. All parts of the hotel are very clean and the breakfast is excellent and in an attractive space. The staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly. Also, the location, close to the station and the city centre is very good indeed.

Our bedroom on the third floor was rather small, with access to the bed only from one side and the bottom of the bed, but otherwise well equipped and comfortable. The bathroom was also rather small but very well equipped. Notwithstanding this, my wife & I felt that the room was fine for a short stay and was excellent value for money. We fully appreciate that larger rooms on other floors were available at a higher cost.

We came back to this hotel because it is so conveniently and pleasantly situated: a short drive from the Autoroute exit, and a pleasant walk into the city. The hotel is very pleasant, the neighbourhood feels safe and is relatively quiet for its city location. Tours is a great place for a stop-over - lots to see, plenty of good restaurants and bars - and this hotel is well placed, comfortable and good value. There's even a small sitting-out area, though the autumn weather meant that we didn't use it this time.

On this occasion we had to take a smaller, lower-cost room on an upper floor. Previously we'd been in a larger room on a lower floor, and I'd say that it's worth a little more to stay in the larger room (though this one was fine for an overnight stop).

The hotel location is perfect for being able to be central and get around the old part of Tours on foot. The manager is absolutely charming and very friendly. The only issue we had is our room faced the main street (although it's not that main) but the noise at night from revellers was very loud and the windows had to be open due to the hot weather. No problem accepting pet for a small surcharge. It's a little old-fashioned but with that comes a certain charm and I think it's 2 start status is about right. We had requested a quiet room. The hotel itself wasn't noisy, just the location of our room and we did only book the night before so they may not have been able to accommodate that part of our request.

Street noise but it's a city hotel in busy city so what do you expect. Much better than being in a hotel on Rue Colbert that's for sure! They allow dogs which is great but dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room so you can't have their breakfast unless your dog is happy being alone in a room whilst you're doing so. Ours is definitely not. Also the dog has to travel in the lift or be carried up and down the stairs. Not a major problem for us as ours is scared of lifts but is easily carried. Hopefully you don't have a Pyrenean that's scared of lifts!

The hotel had a warm and friendly atmosphere and we were greeted with great cordiality. The gentleman on reception was very helpful and anxious that we enjoy our stay. Aside from the lovely courtyard the interior of the hotel is charming with a beautiful old spiral staircase the ascends the floors. (there is a lift for the less sprightly visitors or those with heavy bags). The continental breakfast selection was very nice. The hotel is a short walk from the Cathedral and the tourist area where we enjoyed a fabulous meal at Le bistrot d'Odile.

Not much really. It was very hot when we visited and the rooms are not air-conditioned but both room had fans so we were OK

Hotel located close to the Cathedral in Tours and in a nice quiet neighbourhood. A busy street with numerous restaurants was located a short walk away. Very easy to access the Motorway in and out of Tours. The car parking spaces at the hotel were fully booked but we found good spaces on Boulevard Heurteloup close by that were free between 18.30 and 09.00 the next day.

Location by foot - fab - not so good by car! Breakfast was lovely, and we were made to feel very welcome. Room really comfortable, it wiould have been nice to get one non-french chanel on the TV - but it wasnt really an issue

Nothing that you can do about it, but the Sat Nav, really REALLY dose not like finding you - perhaps more details on how to find you would be really helpful.

very kind staff, nice clean room. although no gluten-free options for breakfast but paid only continental instead of buffet for having to bring my own bread: kind. received very good tip for dinner restaurant. parking on hotel grounds.

no A/C, but then we knew upon reservation and fan was provided. triple room on ground floor has windows to the street at street level

Very friendly and helpful staff. Although there was no-one on reception after 9pm there was key-pad access so it was not a problem. Well located in terms of being easy to find and a short walk to the cathedral, river and a lively restaurant and bar area. The room was comfortable and spacious. We had pre-booked one of the four parking spaces on site (extra charge)

Although an old building it was not particularly interesting. We had a room on the corner onto the street which was quite noisy during the night.
