I loved the breakfast spread and the time it starts (6.30am). My room (420) comes with a bathtub and a great view of the main city centre walking street. Train station is just across the road. To get to Dortmund Main station, take U43 or U44 train from Westentor station and stop at Kampstraße Station. Then go to one level up and take U45 northbound train and stop at Dortmund main station. Follow the directions printed on the floor to get to the Dormund regional trains to Frankfurt for example. Nobody checked my U Bahn train tickets when I was there. There is a kettle inside the room. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is a safe in the room but too small to fit a laptop. Clothes hanger is provided. Wifi signal is good but not totally strong in some areas of the breakfast room. Travelling around the city, you can use the electrial scooters available at the U Bahn stations and pay 0.20 Euros per hour, The App is called Tier. Bike lanes are available around Dortmund. West of the hotel there are a few south asian supermarkets and restaurant. East of the hotel is a good starting point to explore the city centre (Westenhellweg). Staff is typical German. Serious but efficient. For room service call 231 560500.

I wish the bathroom comes with a bidet. The heater requires the window to be opened at the top and the curtains to be closed in order to be turned on. The bottled water in the room is 4 Euros. I wished they had a gym in the hotel. The most disappointing of all are the TV stations. They are all in German.

The hotell provided a bottle of water...usually complimentary...but somewhere where I did not noticed,was a small print saying that have to be paid...at the reception,they asked for 4 euro...this was a cheap trick...misleading or however need to be called...when you see a bottle of water on the table,in a hotel,you do not expect to be asked for payment...cheap trick,very low...truly Unique for whatever I've encountered around the world...and when I am saying around the world,I really mean that...again,cheap trick,very low...

For such a small price (€58 per night), this 4☆☆☆☆ hotel offers plenty of things (like free tea, free coffee, a sewing kit, a shoe polish sponge, a shower cap, etc). However, you pay extra for a bottle of sparkling water (€4), but if you're thirsty and you need something refreshing, I think it's a good deal. The room is big and it looks really nice, elegant and rich, which reminds me of the classic old school style that you only see in movies. The position of this property is perfect because it is close to the city center (where you can find everything you need on the main shopping street) and also close to the Hauptbahnhof (where you can take the bus to the airport or you can take trains to other German cities). There are also a few metro stations (U-bahn) close to the hotel (Westentor and Kampstraße). Now, regarding other aspects, works needs to be done. Also, the staff must take care of drunk people randomly knocking on the doors after midnight. Room service is only available on request, at the reception, so if you need someone to clean your stuff, just ask. Anyway, it's also better to tell the cleaners too just in case the reception forgets to tell them (because sometimes it gets crowded and many people wait at desk, which is understandable due to the high numbers of customers coming every single day. So in this case I feel their pain). There are still some things that need improvement, but I believe that everything else will be solved in the future. All in all, it was a pleasant séjour and we may recommend this place to other people. 8/10 for this! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really beautiful looking interior, furniture and style to the whole place. Rooms were well kept and bathrooms were big with bath and shower, you get very good quality for the money you pay. As originally the room was for two people but it was only for me, they offered to put me in a single room but give me a late check out at 2pm, and breakfast for free. Which I thought was a nice touch as they didn't have to go out their way to make the transaction better for me. All staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was really good, a great selection of rolls, cereals, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon, frankfurter, sausage meat ball, salad pastries, coffee, fruit juice and water. Buffet style and can pretty much set yourself up for the day. Wouldn't even bother looking for somewhere else if I had to visit Dortmund again.

I couldn't fault the whole experience in any way.

Given the very reasonable price paid, we were stunned by the high quality provided! The lobby and communal areas are extravagantly decorated, with lavish marble, impressive chandeliers and exotic fish tanks. The room (though not quite so luxurious) was really spacious with comfortable beds and a lovely big en suite bathroom.

The only fault, (and I feel a bit ungrateful mentioning it!) was the TV. Relative to the size of the room, it was quite small and far from the beds. Plus it wasn't tuned in to very many channels.

car park they try ask for 20 euro , but outside is for free. staff have moody and attitude issue .

The lobby of the hotel was so mesmerising that it’s like you are in a royal palace. The location was also convenient (z.B it’s close to the train station and surrounded by restaurants). The bed were is comfortable and what I love the most was the bathroom and the bathtub. Everything was clean and organized. The fish aquarium was also very beautiful.

Beautiful hotel with a great location - right at the end of the main street. Everything was really well maintained and the rooms were fresh and clean despite the traditional look. The breakfast selection was nice, and the breakfast staff was friendly. Would definitely book again if we find ourselves in Dortmund again.

The hotel is located by a big street, which means that here is a lot of traffic noise. Due to the age of the hotel there is no air cooling system, which made it very hot in the rooms when it was 30 degrees outside. The front desk staff was not super welcoming and attentive.

Entrance waa beautiful, like a fairytale. Frontdesk checked us in very quickly. Rooms were spacious with lots of storage. The bathtub was huge. Double sink and big mirror. Nice view of the city

Noisy cause the room was close to the elevator. People waiting for the elevator talked really loadly. The neighbors made a lot of noise aswell. Also a lot of police and ambulance sirenes. The pillows were really thin.

Very friendly personell, good breakfust. Located near the city center, a few minutes to Hbf. The REWE supermarket in 500m.

Really bad WiFi: In my room i had really bad signal strength near the bed and the table. The only place with good signal was in tbe bathroom. Also requires to go through captive portal just to click "Connect" several times a day (after each long disconnect). Speed (in places with good signal) - average. In bathroom - bad plavement of toilet paper hanger. It should be located higher. Also i would love to see a small fridge and an air conditioner in the room.
