It was a nice place, really quite and the people were nice. But the location for me personally was not the best.

I had to walk like 30min from the Hbf to the Hostel.

For the price paid I would highly recommend the property. The room was basic, however, it was clean. The lounge area was great and the bar served drinks at a good price. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy enough. The location was good, it was only a 10/15 minute walk to both the main train station and the old town pubs / bars.

We stayed for 3 nights and both of the elevators were broken for 2 of the days so had to carry all our luggage down the stairs from the 4th floor. The shower wasn’t very powerful, which you can accept for the price paid, however, you struggled to get running water in the shower between 9-10.30am.

The bathroom was clean and did satisfy my usage without hassle. The room was nice, I had a twin bed and was comfy enough for 1-night stay. The person working on the reception, Leon I believe his name was, was a cool dude, communicative and was pleasant to talk with. The lobby downstairs is cool and has a nice vibe. You can buy yourself a beer, snacks etc The location is 15mins from Hauptbahnhof (main station). There is a tram that goes to Berliner-Alle which can cut the travel time. A 15min walk is fast enough, so I resorted to walking there. AO hostel is easy to find.

One bad thing is that one pillow was a bit smelly (a bad odor). Couldn't say if it's not clean or something they are using to wash the pillows gave it a bad smell. So, I had to use the other pillow and it wasn't smelly.

A&O offer a hybrid between hotels and self-catering hostels, with a business model that emulates the very best of no-frills budget airlines. We discovered the A&O chain on a visit to Copenhagen to visit family and are very taken with it. I stayed at the Dusseldorf A&O for a work trip and will stay there in future.

Young travellers having exuberant, harmless fun, but this didn’t directly impinge on my stay in any way (like it was quiet during sleep hours), and besides, I’m a grouchy old grump.

The location is quite close to the train station, we can walk there or take the Tram (there is a tram stop near the hotel). We booked the private room so the bathroom is inside. Toilet and shower are in separate rooms so my friend and I can prepare ourselves at the same time. Facilities are okay for short stay, bed is quite comfy.

The only thing I can think of is that the walls are quite thin. We can hear doors being opened outside or people talking. Not really nice for people who are looking for a quiet surrounding. It's not a really big problem for me (as I stay only 2 nights), but please be aware for people who are sensitive to sounds

One of the best hostels I`d ever been, best deal for price and quantity, everything you need for journey for small price, kitchen will all needed staff works 24/7, excellent wifi, in all rooms enough spaces and sockets, toilets and bathrooms, all is clean and tide, towels free, situated near te railway and near city center - by walk is no probs to get. In roons are comfortable temmerature and radiatirs work so you can easily dry your clothes. Hot water for shower. Not so many people and silence atmosphere-it`s alsp cool. Big lobby-where you can work or chill. Available locker room for your luggage-safe solution. BRILLIANT!

Everything was more than fine, just maybe door lockers are wery noisy.

The location was great, you had lots nearby in terms of shops, bars, places to eat & a train/bus stop. The old town & train station were also around a 10-15 min walk away. The room was comfortable, clean & reasonably quiet. I had stayed here before where my room was facing the main street & was therefore noisy with traffic noise & trucks/ laundry stopping by early morning but this time we were facing the rear which was much better. The staff were friendly & helpful & the facilities were good particularly the lounge/communal area.

There were 4 of us in the room & with the weather still being pretty good it got really stuffy & a bit hot at times. We were able to open the windows but maybe a fan in the room may have helped also. It may also have been good to have housekeeping provide fresh towels each day & to provide more toilet roll. The above are small points only & overall did not affect the overall comfortable & enjoyable stay we had.

The location is nice. The lobby is well maintained and has good options for solo travellers. The rooms are clean, the toilets are available within the room. The reception is always available and helpful for new people to the city.

The food and drink options are expensive for hostel. The bar rates are same as a bar outside, this needs to be accessible at cheaper rates for inmates.

the hostel locates at a really good district with a variety of public transportation, a walkable distance from central station, a spacious room and they separate the bathroom and toilet, it's also well-designed on facilities. as long as the public lounge.

considering the price, I don't think they should charge additional fee for the bed linens, even pay for borrowing the towel is more sensible.Also when you just opened the check-in from 3pm but require guests checked out before 10am, the cleaning staff even wake you up, i don't think this is a fair and visitor-friendly policy

The location is perfect because it is close to everything and you can walk to the center or the station. The front desk staff super nice and very available at all times. Very spacious common lounge with billiards to play, coffee machine and dining options. The rooms are pretty good, and the bathroom clean
