Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Hotel situated in walking distance of Main Station. Great breakfast. Great value for what I paid. P.S. to the person that previously complained about the fact that the room staff didn't speak English. You are in a German hotel in Germany. Do you expect them to speak every language or just English to accommodate you? Learn a little language of the country you are visiting. You will find your stay is far more enjoyable.👍👍.

I had no complaints.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the main railway station. While not I a particularly pleasant location, there was a lot of rubbish in the streets, it felt safe, quiet and was convenient. My single room was a good size. The hotel is old and solidly built so, although quite popular during my stay, was very quiet. Staff were available 24/7 and were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good.

I would have liked to have coffee-making facilities in my room but this was not a big issue as it was readily available in reception at all times.

This was my second stay at this property, I returned to it after a few years because I had really nice memories of my first stay. The hotel is still great and has a few new improvements! The staff are friendly and professional, and there is a kind of pop-up bar at the reception which adds a nice touch. My room was spacious, clean and had a nice view. The Internet connection was good and stable throughout my stay. I had breakfast booked, and the breakfast was great, with a wide variety of foods to suit every taste. I liked the fact that the amount of food was determined on the basis of the number of guests. The option of getting fresh-made scrambled eggs with an addition of your choice made me feel at home! Finally, the neighbourhood in which the hotel is situated is nice and quiet. I will definitely come back to Hotel Schumacher the next time I am in Duesseldorf. And every time after that! :-)

The breakfast was a good, basic but variety of meats, cheeses, cereal, fresh cooked scrambled eggs upon request, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast and bread rolls. The staff were friendly. They accommodated an early check in.

There was a weird and loud ringing/buzzing noise presumably from plumbing in the building randomly every so often heard in the room. The hair dryer was very poor. No tea/coffee in rooms. The bar was more of a check in area and basic but your so close to many bars in the city it's more of a convenience.

It was super affordable and the hotel room was clean and looked modern. The bed was very comfortable as well and the location was close to the train station and the center. They have 24 hour reception which is super practical and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good but it wasn’t anything special, the way it looked in the pictures when we booked it was way more fancy and bigger Sortiment. Still it was enough to get through the day.

perfect location as we were stopping over en route to Berlin. friendly and welcoming staff, handy little bar area in reception for a much needed sundowner. Secure underground car park 30m along the street from hotel.

the pillow was tiny some of the lads resorted to rolling up their jumper and putting it under the pillow, I just gave it a fold to gain some height but it barely covered my face.

Two seperate rooms we booked were behind one closed door, we are able to stay very close together, yet keep some privacy. Very very superb room layouts, especially when travel with friend or "new couple" meeting each other for the first time. Room size is big and comfy enough to feel free. Also, there are options with bathroom with seperate shower or all in one, which is also nice. The staffs are super nice as well, letting us deposit our luggage for over 5-7h while we are roaming through the city. 5 minutes walk to Immermannstraße, as known as the famous "Japan Mile", however to the next subway station could be a tiny bit closer. Or maybe it's just us not being able to read maps correctly. We came from the countryside after all. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would strongly consider returning here again when I'm around in Düsseldorf!

Warm water. Gotta let it run off the shower head for more than 20 seconds or something to let it pump up to the third floor or something, according to the staff I inquired help from. So you gotta be a bit patient when waiting for warm water to come up.

This hotel was better than expected: The location is excellent, my room was clean, heating on, the check-in and check-out were fast. It is possible to get very cheap ticket for the regional public transport at the reception desk (3EUR/day if I remember correctly), which could be marketed more even on booking.com - for me, it would be a clear reason to select this hotel. It just takes a while to get this ticket sold at the reception - it looked like the staff member sold it for the first time.
