This was a wonderdful hotel in a great location with good food. The staff were so incredibly helpful and friendly at all times; even taking the time to help me practice my German when ordering at breakfast and dinner. Parking was very affordable at only €5 a night. I would stay here again for another trip to the area.

- The pillows were pretty uncomfortable and I'm not one to be picky about pillows. - The listing states that the hotel is "pet friendly", but it is really only "dog friendly". Just be aware of this in case you plan on traveling with a cat (my original plan).

Location is prime! My husband has mobility walking issues-- accessibility to stores, pharmacy, food/markets was so easy. We had a mountain view room and started each day sitting in the sunshine! Private parking was a bonus! Martin, front desk staff with great sense of humor, and Luca, a young and so professional food server whose words were 'may I make a recommendation?' because he was there to make us happy eaters, both helped us to enjoy our stay.

A very nice property with an excellent staff. The rooms were large and comfortable and the bathroom was also very spacious. The view from our balcony was excellent and we enjoyed the breakfast. We had some awesome suggestions for hikes in the surrounding area from Martin at the front desk and also enjoyed meeting Ernest the house chocolate lab. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and just a block from the start of the main pedestrian area allowing for many choices of food and shopping very close by. Hotel was clean and very nicely decorated, and although the weather was not great during our stay, I can imagine the bier garten would be very nice to hang out in during warm summer evenings. Many choices for great hiking either a short drive or a longer walk from the property and the surrounding area is simply stunning with natural beauty.

A nit pick, but we found the feather pillows to go totally flat once you put your head down and had to request additional pillows to be comfortable.

Everything at the Garmischer Hof was perfect!! Luca checked us in at the front desk and was so very helpful, friendly, welcoming!! As was Jirena who was also at the front desk - extremely helpful and so very welcoming!! The room was just as shown in the pictures online - fantastic view of the Alps from our balcony!! Room was spacious and bath was great! The location was great - could easiy walk to and from train station. all around town, to bus stops!! The Garmischer brews their own beer and has a lovely beer garden in the back courtyard!! Erkan and Luca served us at the beer garden and were so friendly, yet professional - the entire experience of staying at the Garmischer Hof was absolutely wonderful!! Also, we are two single, older females traveling via train throughout Germany and always felt extremely safe here in Garmish at the Garmischer Hof!!

I liked everything!!! There is absolutely nothing to dislike!

We got a room upgrade which was highly appreciated. The sauna facility was good and open until late. We got excellent directions from the staff to get to the gorge. The location very central and close to the train station. Super friendly staff at breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

The breakfast could have had more vegetables. We didn't get clear explanation about city tax that must be paid, so didn't take advantage of the discount in entrance to the gorge we could have used.

The staff was friendly and willing to help. Our room was the cheapest option available (due to high demand on the selected dates) but really good one with a nice city view. The food was tasty and fresh with incredibly friendly and welcoming personnel. We liked the view to the mountains from the restaurant. We tried free sauna after snowboarding (the humid option was perfect!). The parking slot was booked without any problem despite I realized that the booking is needed only one day before arrival.

The only thing that can be improved is the fridge for cold food for breakfasts. It is not that easy to pick up some cheese or vegetables when one hand is holding the glass window and the other hand is taking the food. Fortunately there was no queue waiting for me, so it was okay :)

The room, the breakfast, the staff, great view of the snowy Alps from my window, close to Bahnhof. The young guy checking us in was super nice and funny, somehow we must've been upgraded to a room with a spa and he highly suggested we use it. Breakfast and wait staff were excellent. Everyone spoke English very well

Spa was a double edged sword, it was difficult to operate and hard to drain. Unexpectedly at 01:30 in the middle of the night it turned itself on.

The room was cozy and charming. Very warm. I had a gorgeous view of the mountains from the window/balcony. Bathroom clean and modern. Lamp and outlets next to the bed for convenience of charging. Breakfast was in a bright, cheery breakfast room with a variety of delicious options. I had everything I needed for a one night stay. I had questions about the facility and surrounding area, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel was literally a 5 minute walk from the train station and very close to the pedestrian way as well. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The generous pillow was a little big for me personally. The bedding was nice however.

We booked in the offseason with the idea of using the hotel as a base for seeing some of the local sites. We did a last minute booking - when we arrived they offered us a free upgrade to a suite. We were so impressed with the room that we ended up staying an extra night. They had a great bar that served finger food and great sized/priced drinks and the breakfast in the dining room that was included in the price was also very good.

There were only two EV chargers and they were both older model Tesla destination chargers which meant they do not work with other EV brands - we were counting on using these chargers so that caused some incovenience - it would be good for them to list on the website that they are only compatible with Tesla (or get them upgraded to the newer V3 chargers that support most other EVs also)

The location was perfect for the town, transport (Rail and Bus) and if walking for the mountains and other attractions. The property is only as good as the staff and for someone English speaking the staff in reception, the excellent restaurant and the ancillary teams could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful.

No faults, although through choice I chose a room without a bath, but will old aching legs in hindsight, next time a room with a bath would be on my request list.
