Our room was fine, as expected. Even though it looked out onto the street, it was quiet at night.

The shower head was fitted loosely in its wall bracket and kept swiveling toward the shower door, causing a puddle of water to form outside of the shower cubicle. After we wedged it with some paper, it was alright. Also, one bed was very squeaky and we had to ask to be moved to another room. To be fair, the staff were brilliant and there was no problem with changing our room and all was fine with the second room.

Lovely hotel, superclose to all the shops, restaurants and public transport. The first day it was chilly in the room and the second night they put the heating on, so it was a bit too warm. I parked my car at the Mercado parking and that was cheap too. The entrance for the Mercado parking when the Mercado mall is closed is on the Grosse Rainstrasse, the sign says 'P night entrance'.

The heating was centrally managed and the first night it was pretty cold in the room ( they did get me a second duvet though and that was nice) the second night the heating was working/ turned on and it was pretty warm/a bit too warm perhaps.

Hotel Altona is a medium-sized hotel inside a town house style building. It is just round the corner from Altona station making it very straightforward to get around the city. Inside, the hotel is extremely clean, well decorated & the staff are also very polite & helpful. The reception isn't open all the time however guests room keys will allow them to enter the building. The room I had was bigger than I expected, possibly because it was an accessible room. There was also a large en-suite bathroom with plenty of room for a wheelchair, including a walk-in shower. The area outside can be a little noisy but if you close the window its fine. The bed was perfectly comfortable although the pillow was basically flat with no extra ones in my room. Unfortunately, I couldn't work out how to change the language on the TV so it was of no use to me. Nearby, there are plenty of options for shopping & eating as well as transport options. Conveniently, the S-bahn from the airport goes right to Altona station too! I feel like I got great value for money at this hotel & I would definitely stay again!

The staff was super helpful and managed to accommodate us to leave our luggage in the room super early (we arrived at 9-ish). There was a slight mixup with housekeeping but that was sorted out super quickly and professionally. The hotel is located in a very central location and there are many trendy cafes and restaurants nearby. The building itself is older, but well renovated and charming.

The drawback of the hotel being very central is that it's quite noisy until late in the evening. Even with all windows shut, we could hear music and people shouting on the street as clearly as if they were in the room with us. Additionally, the AC situation is a bit of a mixed bag with the unit being entirely inside the room and having a pipe that leads to a window that needs to be opened for the AC to do anything. This means that on warm evenings the noise would be even worse.

the extensive roadworks on Max Brauer Allee meant we had a short bus trip past the venue we wanted to visit - a pub called Malto, then had to retrace half that journey to get there at a gap in the barriers. Fortunately, although the place was packed, some kind locals told us they were about to leave, so that we could sit down in relative comfort!

The location is perfect, just near the Altona train station. A plenty of shops and small food stalls nearby. The room is big enough. The toilet/bathroom is quite small and might be hard to be used by tall or big people.

The internet connection was by a paper certificate that were mixed, valid and not valid together. I tried four times before finding a valid one.

Good location in Altona district - it was perfectly suited for me. Hotel does not have its own parking but there are plenty of public parking lots to choose from. The hotel is well maintained and I don't have mayor complains.

The bathroom does not have a fan and did not ventilate - the condensation after showering remained unchanged for ever. The only solution i found was to open the bathroom door and ventilate it across the bedroom through the window.

Perfect accommodation in the best location in Hamburg. Access to all transport networks, great cafés and shops on your doorstep. Very friendly staff, comfortable and cosy room. Will definitely stay here again!

Like everything but there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but not a big deal as cafés and shops just a few doors down.

Everything went exceptionally well - we reached really early in the morning and they said that since they were full, they could not give us early check in, which was fine, since they offered to keep our luggage and allow us to have some breakfast. However, when we actually reached, they said someone had booked but not showed up (a pity for them! they really missed out!) and they immediately gave us a totally fresh, clean, new room with a garden view!!! They sorted out everything quick and easy. The next day, our trains were all cancelled due to some issues - but again they offered us a really nice breakfast, and let us keep luggage or wait there for as long as we needed. The staff at the hotel were really wonderful - it was just 2 women there but they were so patient with all their guests, and so so kind to us. Absolutely loved the stay and the place. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed for our stay!

I wish we had stayed there longer! We were there only for a day as we were in transit to go somewhere else. There was nothing to complain about. It wasn't very accessible - there were stairs everywhere, but they offered to help with everything so there was no problem at all.

The room was spacious and big enough for the 5 of us. Location is great too.

Check in was more or less ok -- the room is actually in another building nearby, with no signs whatsoever, and the way they explained it to us was not so good. They said the names of a few restaurants and shops as references, but we're not familiar with any of them, so a little map would have been of great help.
