The hotel is newly furnished, nice looking and clean. The staff is friendly. Room is quite big, has even a table for working.

We stayed there as a couple and booked one big bed, but it wasn’t a big bed, but two little beds with separate mattresses and small blankets. There were no slippers, but it’s not such a tragedy.

Great location, near Chocolate Museum and the promenade. Spacious room, big bed, we had everything we needed in the room, bathrobe, slippers, coffee, tea. The staff was very friendly, helped us in any matter, especially with the luggage, we dropped those at the reception. You have umbrellas to take from reception if it rains and some goodies from the house. We received a drink-voucher on a day.

On Saturday, the workers outside the hotel started they work at 9 in the morning but I don't think they could do something about this, we were just lucky :D But wasn't such a big issue.

PRICE AND VALUE: We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Considering the price, we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of our stay. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a free welcome drink along with some sweets. ROOM: The room felt even more spacious and comfortable than expected, and it was very clean (for reference, my partner's dust allergies didn't flare up once like at previous hotel experiences). The bathroom is big enough and modern. We really enjoyed the ambient lighting in the room. Despite some reviews we've read before our stay, we found that the AC was working fine and made our room cool enough. The windows also cancelled out outside noise well. The pillows were just soft enough to bring us a comfortable rest. Also, you have the option to dismiss housekeeping, in which case you receive vouchers for free drinks at the hotel bar. LOCATION: During our stay, we've seen many different parts of Köln, so we can confidently say that this hotel's location is superb - the Chocolate museum and the Rhine river are right across the road and the Cathedral is only a comfortable walk away. It's also in a close proximity to tram and bus stations, which is very useful. PARKING: Parking is available at the hotel for 20e per day in the hotel's underground garage, which considering the other options in Köln is a middle range price point, but it feels much safer than having it out on the street. It's spacious enough and easy to park. Important to note, we arrived at about 4 pm and finding a parking spot in the garage wasn't hard - but later in the evening, it filled up completely, so you would have to search for other options (there are several in close proximity). You can't reserve a parking spot. We kept the car in there throughout our entire stay, so it didn't really matter, but if you plan on driving around throughout your stay, keep this in mind.

The only complain would be the mattress - it feels a little bit cheap as you can feel the springs when you're laying on it. It's a little tough, but surprisingly, we actually slept well. Even though it didn't matter much to us, we can imagine that some would find it uncomfortable.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Window insulation worked fine despite the busy traffic. Breakfast was varied and ample and thus made for a good start to the day. The location worked fine for us, not exactly in the middle of the action but still close enough to walk to all major spots. We liked that it was just a few "steps" to the Rhine, the Chocolate Museum, and the excellent Restaurant (& Cafes) next to the museum. The Wifi worked fine both in our rooms and throughout the hotel.

The hotel needs to look into maybe refurbishing the bathrooms.

Location was good and the price was reasonable. Typical business hotel, but okay for me as a bike tourer. Was allowed to take the bike to the room and it also fit in the lift. The breakfast is really good. If you don't have your room cleaned (if stay more than one night), you get a coupon for a free drink at their bar.

My room was on the Rhine side on the 5th floor (of 6 floors) which had an average view, but the noisy road meant that the window could not be open for very long. The air conditioning was poor and noisy. My booking.com booking wasn't there on arrival, despite having the reference number and confirmation. They eventually sorted and gave me free breakfast for the stay. Later, when I asked a staff member at the front desk for help on something (he was the only one there), he wouldn't help me until he finished his "billings" work as that was me important. He couldn't tell me how long he would be either. And didn't even offer to find souther staff member. Not really happy with that until I managed to flag down a manager.

Very nice hotel, spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, very nice and smiling staff. Also loved the location, next to the Chocolate Museum where there was a small Christmas market. You can reach the center in about 10 min on foot. Would surely recommend.

The breakfast area is a little small and get can quite crowded. Also the rooms facing the inner courtyard are quiet at night, which we appreciated very much but can get noisy early in the morning because of the garbage trucks - it happened one of the mornings.

The restaurant didn't sell any lunch - the only options were packed food from the fridge and prices were crazy. Also, the hotel charged my card 4 times by mistake and refunded me, but organizing all the receipts, clarifying the situation, and making the expenses for my company was a nightmare. I spoke to several managers in the hotel and no one could give me a straight answer as to why this happened.

Hotel was modern clean and comfortable. The Staff were all pleasant and helpful - on reception in the restaurant/bar and the cleaning staff as well. Breakfast was of a very good range that would cater for all wants. Continental and cooked breakfasts with fresh fruits, cereals - teas coffees and fruit juices. The list is endless. Parking is provided in a secure underground car park at 20 euros a day. It sounds a lot but compares favourable to other city centre parking options. The Hotel is situated near the harbour and chocolate museum which are across the main road. It is about a 10 minute walk and you are in the middle of the city with an incredible range of shops and the infamous cathedral. If you are keen walkers (which we are) we were able to walk too and around all the Xmas markets. The hotel also operates a scheme whereby if you don't opt for room service on a particular day you are given a voucher for 2 free drinks from the bar.

Nothing we could fault. Would definitely look to stay here again when visiting Cologne.

Location was perfect, we went for Christmas Market and we had one just in front of the Hotel. Also very easily to access from Train Station. Breakfast was very rich and with a lot of varieties of breads, fruits and great vegan options. Room was very comfy, bed was amazing, warm room and really clean bathroom.

Price of the products specially from fridge. We found a little overprice compared with supermarket or even the gas station beside. I would buy much more if they were more affordable.
