Great location in the best part of Old Town. Very busy and lively. Fifty percent off parking at the Market parking garage, just a block walk away from the hotel. Hotel stamps the ticket at the desk, after putting the stamped ticket in the machine the discount is given. We asked for a fan and there were two in the room which were much needed. Coffee and drink cooler in the room. Free apples at reception!

No AC, it gets hot in the room but if the window is open it is very very loud with bar noise until 2am. If the window is closed it actually provides good sound proofing but quickly gets hot even on cold nights. Perhaps the river side of the hotel is quieter. The room was very small for the price but we made it work.

Fabulous location! Right in the heart of Cologne! Rooms are just as advertised as "Compact." We were in Cologne to see the city, not move into the hotel. 2 people stayed in the room comfortably. The room was recently remodeled and very well decorated. The bathroom was compact but suited our needs. Rooms came with a safe, refrigerator, coffeemaker, etc. We had a river view with a Juliet balcony that looked over the street, and it was fun watching people go by. Breakfast was very European, with rolls, croissants, sliced meats, and cheeses. I finally did spot the scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage. You could even make yourself a mimosa if you wanted. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and stay here again!

I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel!!! We booked this at the very last second and I must be living right, because we were rewarded with possibly the loveliest hotel I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. Very comfortable beds, exceptional room amenities, and the location was superb! Not only was it easy walking distance to almost everything, we had a wonderful view of the square outside our window, with a fountain and a fantastic band that came out and played every night. I'm already trying to figure out when I can go back!

Nothing at all! I honestly didn't find a single thing I didn't like about this hotel. We would definitely stay here again, no question.

Hotel is pretty close to the train station (about 10 mins walk) and near most of the attractions in the old part of the city. Rooms were modern and there was free medium sparkling water. The breakfast contained a wide spread of cold food (hams, cheeses, breads, croissants, pies, fruit yogurt, juices, milk, coffee, tea, and more) and a limited amount of hot food (scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, small sausages, and bacon). The cold food was wonderful but the hot food was below average (overcooked scrambled eggs and bacon), but this is expected in Germany.

My room was in the second floor of the adjacent building, and the lift only goes to the first floor where there is a connecting passageway to the building my room is in. There is then a flight of stairs that goes to the second floor. The metal door stopper stuck to the floor is kind of in the way of things; I snubbed my toe on it a couple of times.

The staff was accommodating as I did not know when I booked the room it didn't have its own bathroom. The gentleman was able to find us a room with a bathroom right away for just 10 euros more. The restaurant dinner was delicious, and so was the breakfast. We plan to come back with our kids in the future.

The people next door were smoking in their room and it smelled up our room. I told the front desk and they checked on it right away.

Our room was cozy and well decorated and the view was directly out to the square where the fountain was and we could see the River. We liked being in the old town. The breakfast was also really good! You have to have the potato pancakes made in a little hole in the wall right up the alley!!

To get to our room we had to go through the center of the building that had the most unpleasant smell of some sort of horrible food. Every time we passed through there I almost gagged.

Location for the central station and cathedral is very good (10 mins). Modern, clean, comfortable well equipped room though reception area is small. Our 'Compact Double with river view' was very good for our overnight stay with view to the bridge & river ok, though from the side of the hotel, not the front. Lots of eateries close by.

The hotel seems to be made from connected buildings and it was easy to get lost on the passageways and various stair levels to access some rooms.

Loved everything about this wonderful hotel. The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful and smiled lots which is fantastic! The hotel itself overlooks the Rhine to the front and we had a room on the third floor overlooking the River. The room was spotless with a nice touch with Nespresso machine so fresh coffee in the morning. They also supplied a bottle of water to the room each day and the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis by very friendly cleaners. We also had dinner in their restaurant adjoining the hotel with a 10% discount voucher - food was excellent. All the major sights were within walking distance, Cathedral, museums, bars, restaurants, boat trips outside our doors and bus tours from the Cathedral. Will definitely be back. thank you all very much to the Staff in the hotel.

The suite was clean and family friendly. The decor was pleasant and there was extra blankets and linen when we needed. We received complimentary drinks in the bar fridge and 10% discount on all meals and drinks at the restaurant underneath the hotel (amazing food). The location is excellent and during Christmas was a very short walk from the Christmas markets.

The localisation was great, it's by the river and close to a lot of restaurants and bars. Also very close to the Cologne Cathedral and central station. The room was comfortable and clean, perfect for a cozy stay.

The walls of the room were pretty thin, so I could hear every movement and conversation from outside and the other rooms. Have the toilet outside of the room was also not the best, considering sometimes people need to use it in the middle of the night, but it wasn't a big trouble.
