We enjoyed a very charming and enjoyable stay in this country-style hotel, close to Lubeck. There's ample parking, WiFi and a friendly reception. The hotel spa was a great bonus and the daily breakfast was outstanding! There was plenty of choice, fresh fruit, tasty cooked options and gluten-free bread available upon request. The country setting was very quiet and ideal for relaxing after the days spent sightseeing. Old Town Lubeck is very easy to drive to 15 mins away, so we loved the proximity! The service we received at the hotel restaurant was excellent, warm and inviting. When I left some luggage on check-out they were very helpful in notifying me and arranging prompt shipment. They went above and beyond in every way. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

Would have liked the choice of a firmer pillow. The room safe was temperamental. The safe was reset when I mentioned it, so they were good at sorting any minor issues out. There was nothing big really to detract from a lovely stay! Everything was very pleasant!

Our room was spacious and well-appointed. The ensuite bathroom was spacious, clean and also well-appointed. The restaurant was first class; the wine list and the food were outstanding, as were the serving staff - knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The receptionist at the front of house was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. All in all a great stay, highly recommended and well worth another visit. The breakfast was plentiful and well laid out. A great start to the day..

It was not immediately clear where the reception was and although the location was not extensive, I did have to walk around to find the right place to check-in.

Size of room. Very Quiet after 10:00 pm. Location, very nice and not far from the airport. Breakfast from 7:00 am; perfect for taking a flight

Room: Bed-Size 200 cm instead of the 180 in width would be better. Payment: only credit card accepted no cash! Caused a short problem because our std Euro-credit card was not accepted (worked in the morning on another occasion in the region). It seems that this occurs often!

We got a nice room on the ground floor with access to a terrace with a seating group, overlooking the park-like entrance to the hotel. The room was spacious with large, comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The brekfast was beyond expectations. Excellent, free parking with access to charging stations for electric cars.

The dinner we had the first day was nice, however, we did not get the type of fish that was actually advertised in the menu.

the is a brilliant place to stay. From the first greeting at reception it was a great experience. The resturant served amazing food and the staff there were experienced and helpful. I enjoyed the spa too. The room was a great size and bathroom felt like a treat. Will definitely try to book there again if passing that way.

Nothing to report here. It was spot on.

V good breakfast with a wide variety of more interesting dishes (graved lachs with fresh horse radish, tomato and mozzarella). Excellent scrambled egg and homemade plum jam (v seasonal). Dinner at the restaurant was excellent with seasonal dishes such as the velvety Pfifferling (chanterelle) soup.

There was nothing to dislike but I would have preferred individual toiletries rather than wall dispensers - and fluffier thicker towels.

This is a lovely old fashioned hotel where lots of German families with children seem to stay. Great atmosphere. We were able to eat sitting outside in the garden next to a lovely cornfield. The beds were comfy and breakfast good.

We had a v poor welcome from the receptionist - it took a while for someone to locate her to deal with our checking in - we felt she was surly and off-hand.

A very quiet place in the middle of the countryside (therefore reachable by car). Pets welcome. Staff nice and available to organize a late check-in.

Nothing specific to report, keeping in mind that it’s countryside and not a city center hotel. I’m not a big fan of upholstery’s but again you know what you’re getting into before nowadays.

The brekfast was very good, featuring a variety of choices. The quality of the dinner was excellent and the view on the fields and river was fantastic.

The setting of the bathroom was a bit strange, the sink was very small and the shower was not complete sourrounded by a wall, making the possibility of flooding very high.

Convenient location to main roads. Buildings and garden grounds very pretty and spacious bedrooms.

Slight difficulty in restaurant for us with staff speaking limited English and us not speaking German! Confused orders as a result.
