Very nice welcome by the reception, they had a room ready even though I arrived early - a little before 11. The single room was basic but practical. The large window could be opened at the side or on top, and was covered by both a blind and a curtain. The situation is very central in die Altstadt, so it's quite easy to pop in and out of your hotel in between exploring the sights (or shopping a little too much marzipan). There's a bus stop right along the street, only two stops from the railway station. The breakfast is basic, but with very good products - so I had everything I needed for a fine breakfast. No warm options, but when the other offers are of such quality this is good enough for me.

Nothing. Just don't expect to sleep in late, as the church bells combined with noise from the street and from other guests in their room or in the corridor will wake up almost anyone from around 8 o'clock (that's when the first really heavy round of church bells chime in).

Nice but basic hotel right in the center of the city. It is close to all main attractions in the city. Breakfast is good with homemade products. It was expensive for what they offer...but it is in the city center! You can park the car close to the hotel in public parking place. Rooms are clean

Modern, friendly hotel in the heart of the city. Stay accompanied by the rich sounds of the church (Marienkirche) bells across the road. Family-run, with extremely helpful staff.

We can't think of anything. We would definitely recommend (unless you don't like bells!)

Central location in the historic Altstadt. Wonderful breakfast with lots of choice (sweet and savoury). The room was clean and up to date. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The lack of an elevator was not a problem for us but might be for other visitors.

some of the fixtures like towel hooks by the sink or the toilet roll holder could have had better choises. But this in no way detracting from the overall good experience that we had

Incredible location, every cultural venue close to the hotel. The hotel's architecture was amazing, room was clean and nice, the breakfast tasty and the staff polite and helpful. Totally recommended.

Right in the middle of the city, good location, nice ladies at the reception, clean, simple room, but everything you need for a rest. Nice breakfast, it is perfect to start a day on the fresh air on the terrace with a cup of tea or coffee.

The staff were super - I arrived quite late on a Sunday night but the lady in reception was still really helpful and friendly in a genuine way ( not a kind of I'm being paid to be nice to you kind of way) - breakfast was also delicious and the location is really central only a short walk to the HBF and practically right bang in the centre

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel. HIghly recommended. The staff were all very accomodative and spoke good English. Rooms were very clean and the location was fantastic. Bus stop is 50 steps away and the old town was just around the corner. We accidentally left our passports and they immediately called us and offered us if we want it to be posted to our home. After 2 days, it was DHL to us. Superb!

The rooms are not really soundproof. You will hear other guests.
