Good location. Exceptionally clean. Great security. Excellent breakfast options.

There was a man in the kitchen speaking in a raised voice and sometimes in an unkind tone with guests. He did it with me and was again doing it with some others from Asia. When I went for breakfast, I could see only one table for four laid out with cutleries and cups. Being a single customer and following habit, I choose to occupy a table for two. I picked up a cup from among lots of cups placed in front of him on a tray. He told me angrily that I should go and sit in a place assigned for me where cups are ready and not take one from him. I followed his advice. I could see the same pattern repeating with other guests on the next day.

Very friendly staff - own restaurant with good food / beer but low prices. Comfortable beds and top location between the main train station and the Marienplatz.

I liked the staff, everyone was very polite and helped me with everything I needed. I liked the room, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The furniture was new and functional. I liked the breakfast, you could eat as much as you want. There were plenty of food options and everything was fresh and tasty.

I was surprised to find out that there were no products in the room such as shampoo, shower gels or flip flops. Apparently, they are included only if you book the single rooms. The receptionist was very kind and gave me a free bottle of shower gel during my stay. Also the neighbourhood might feel a little bit unsafe at night, but I had no bad experiences.

The lady on the reception was friendly and helpful. I liked how clean it was. The bed was comfortable, super modern, rock solid. The location is perfect. The breakfast is nice, breakfast staff is attentive and cool.

Shower wall was consisting of 2 pieces, one of which was the door. I expected that it would leak, because these types of connections always leak in the corners. And it leaked. If not this — I'd put 10/10. Weird thing — the lift works only until 23:00. So when you most need it — you have to go upstairs on foot. Also, WiFi was a bit slower on 4 Floor, but it's very survivable. The price was crazy, but it's Munich.

I had a wonderful stay at CVJM. What stood out to me the most was the excellent location. With both a tram and U-Bahn station nearby, it was incredibly convenient for getting around. Additionally, it is very close to the Old Town and the Central Station, making exploration easy and enjoyable. I also greatly appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the friendliness of the staff, which made my stay even more pleasant.

I had a bit of difficulty sleeping due to the pillow, which was quite uncomfortable and left my neck sore. Additionally, it would be great if a hairdryer were provided in the room and if the breakfast offerings could be made a bit more varied.

The place is super clean and the staff are super nice. When you check in they show you your room in a folder so you know which one is yours and tell you in detail when other guests are expecting to arrive. I will definitely be returning to this hostel. 10/10 experience. great value for money and better service than a hotel with fresh towels when ever need and been changed daily

That the lift was off by 11 but makes sense so that people can sleep peacefully my feet just hurt 😂😂

Everything was fabulous from the very first greeting until the young man held the door as I begrudgingly left. The staff could not have been more helpful or kind. The entire experience was in the spirit of the YMCA I grew up with. My room had absolutely everything I needed - a comfy bed with a reading light, a good pillow, table + chairs, and a well equipped bathroom. The room was quiet, and the breakfast was surprisingly tasty. I highly recommend!

It was better than I expected. The room was clean, including the WC and shower. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and pillow. The staff were very helpful from answering inquiries, checking in, and checkout. Another lady staff helped me with how to get to the airport. And they even provided packed breakfast because I left at 5 in the morning.

Maybe a small fan for every bed. It was a little bit warm even with the window open at night. The lift was not available outside of office hours, so I had to carry my luggages down 2 floors.

1. Great location. Near to the DB station. 2. Wonderful facility. There is a big table and some chairs in the room. The design of the shower room, with two hooks, is very considerable. (You might feel it very basic but my precious experience is that at least 75% of hostels do not have those.) 3. Great quality of breakfast. The food here of course is not comparable to other 5-star hotels; however, the quality is very great in terms of the room rate.

Booked last minute for a weekend in Munich and absolutely loved it. Great location - just 5-10 min to the Central Station and the city center, and very friendly and attentive staff. Room was in a very good condition, spacious and clean, with a table, a sink, a shower cabin and a separate toilet - which is very practical in shared rooms. Good breakfast (several types of bread, cheese, fresh fruit, cereal etc.) included in the price. Even though there are a lot of nightlife establishments in the neighbouring streets, it was fairly quiet in the night. Easy self-checkout at any time. Price more than satisfactory, especially taking into account that I made my booking just a few days in advance.

Don’t forget to bring an own lock if you intend to use a locker for your baggage
