Hostel very well located, close to tube station and in a short walking distance from bus central station and main city station. Next to the oprah house, side by side with city walls! I have stayed in a 8-bed-female dorm. The room was really well thought: spacious, with good large lockers (you only need to bring with you 1€ coin), the bunk beds are steady, easy to use ladder, comfortable mattress and pillow, they have a curtain allowing you to have some privacy, also plug and lamp. The bed was nicely made (something nowadays rare to find, even in some hostels were you pay twice more than on this one). The room as large airy windows and a table in the middle, giving you something uncommon in most hostels: the possibility to use your room for more than just sleep! :) The room was not ensuite, but the female bathroom/shower was just next door (so once again, the hostel layout is really well thought). If you dont bring a towel, ask for one at checkin, it is not included on the room price, but it was only 1.50€. The hostel as a large common kitchen. I only stayed for one evening, but some of the girls staying were saying that compared to most places they stayed during their travel in Germany, this one was from far the best value for money. I also need to highlight the spotless cleaning, housekeeping is doing a great job!

The only thing that could be better was staff energy/engagement.. the checkin and checkout process were far to straightforward, only with basic essential information being provided (even though it was not busy). Maybe because I am used staying in hostels known by their atmosphere, this left me with a sense of "it could be better guest experience".

Very clean and top location in Nuremberg.

Still very expensive for a shared room

What a great hostel. Comfortable, conveniently located and affordable. Bathrooms were always clean and well maintained. Really appreciated the privacy curtains on the bunks. The room was a good size, you never felt crowded even with a full room. You can easily go to all places of interest like the castle, rally grounds and trials museum conveniently.

Washing machines would have been good to have onsite for convenience as the recommended one is a 10-15min walk. The room doesn't have air conditioning so we relied on having the window opened otherwise it becomes quite stuffy in the room, however it can get quite noisy when passerbys are yelling out. Our room faced the street and people smoking right at the entrance drifts in which was unpleasant.

I loved the big room. It had wall-to-wall windows letting enough sunlight in. There was a set of centre table with chairs and a floor mirror. Luggage storage is easy. The beds had curtains which is a bonus. The bathrooms were modern, smartly built and very clean. Their designs are very different from most hostels, so here there was no flooding and slippery floors. The kitchen downstairs is minimal with simple seating. The breakfast area and the food was quite good. There is an elevator. I also have to mention the location - to me it was excellent. The hostel is just on the cobbled road skirting the medieval wall of Nurnberg - the Frauentormauer. My room windows had view of the walls, gave a very historical feeling. The metro station is only a few steps away and is designed in medieval architecture. Some reviewers have commented on the red light area, but its quite a distance down the road. The effect never reaches the hostel. The lane is not busy or noisy.

The road itself doesn't have shops or eateries. One has to reach the nearby parallel street. So late nights in the immediate vicinity can be deserted but I didn't feel unsafe.

This hostel is better than most I’ve stayed in. The bed was already made. The curtain provided some privacy. Shower gel and paper towels in the bathroom were a really nice bonus, as well as not having to bring my own lock for the lockers (you’re going to need a 1 eur coin though). Possibility to store luggage for free.

Roommates sometimes slammed the door super loud at night. The door would use a door closer. The bed frame on top of the upper bunk was very dusty. No air conditioning in the room, the window faced the street which was very loud on a Saturday night. Other than that, I had a good stay and I think it’s good value for money.

The bathroom was small but attended perfectly the expectations, the bed was comfortable and provided privacy, breakfast with many options and the information about the place on the entrance helped me to not lose the festival that was happening. The decoration and cleaness of of the hostel definetly is a bonus, the location was pretty easy to access and everything a walking distance.

Not having only female rooms, for girls is quite trick share rooms with guys I had pretty bad experiences in the past. However, despite the fact the one guest was almost all night walking around the room making noise was everything okay.

Thanks so much to staff Anastasia (I hope I get her name right) for your super friendly service during my check in and my check out. From the way she speaks, She is very kind hearted and served with smile which makes me feel very welcomed. The female dorm is very spacious, with long tables where you can do your own work without going to the lobby. Each bed has curtain which provides privacy. Shared toilet / bath is just next door, no need to walk far. Big & clean kitchen downstairs. Walking distance around less than 2 mins to the nearest subway and around 10 mins++ if you wish to just walk to main train station (Nürnberg). I super loved my stay here.

Five Reasons is a great place to stay! Really clean and comfortable! The dorms are spacious and despite being in a mixed dorm, private! The staff are friendly, which is great when you’re a solo traveller. The reception is staffed 24/7, which is reassuring! The kitchen area is well maintained and has everything you need!

It would be useful to have some clothes airers to dry clothing on and plugs in the bathroom sinks to aid washing clothes! But other than that - nothing!

Just a step below perfect.. - location is top! first U2 to the airport starts at 04:45 - staff is great, and there for you 24/7 - you can buy water/beer at any time - rooms are Very spacious, almost had no contact with the rest in the room and thus wasn't smelly even with 8 people together - very clean and tidy, probably the most important thing for a hostel

----- - the bed, at least mine, was shaky and hard to climb, ladder is a bit rough and the power outlet was above my head - there were only 2 toilets for 4 rooms, but I had no problems or waiting time - The price was a bit much for my pocket. For the price of one night I slept 4 in Italy and 3 in Hungary, as well as 3 in Hamburg. Other than that I think it's the best in town.

This is my second time at Five Reasons! It is a very very lovely space! Very clean, the bunks are with curtains & laptop/cell phone plugs -- there are lockers, room enough for my carry-on size rolly suitcase ... the rooms are spacious ... and the bathrooms are as clean as they can be (considering that many people could be staying at the hostel) Check-in was easy. An easy 10-minute walk from the train station & central in the city. An absolutely exceptional breakfast!!! A very lovely patio out the back, a really nice kitchen & dining area -- very modern -- and easy to meet people. 24-hour staff, a very very welcoming staff. I will most definitely stay there again -- it's a really nice place! PS A nice touch, they had a welcome note on my bed, I had asked for a bottom bunk!

I can't think of anything. The hostel itself is a wonderful oasis! The only thing that "could" be an issue is that "if" the hostel is full, maybe the bathrooms could be crowded? Otherwise I really like it here!
