We enjoyed the history of the building and we loved the restaurant that was connected to the hotel which was an easy walk away. The room was very nice and it couldn’t have been in a more easily accessible area. It was definitely a charming hotel!

The only thing was the parking. It was advertised that parking was free but then it was 10euro a night for a car in a very tight parking garage. The only other thing is that the second morning, someone tried to come into our room while we were getting ready to leave for the day. The building doesn’t have an elevator so suitcases have to be carried up, but it wasn’t bad.

I didn’t like that in the description in booking says that there is an elevator, but in reality only some rooms have elevator. It should be clarified. Because one of us has difficulty in moving, and if we knew that this room has no elevator, we would have chosen another hotel It is also written that it is at the center of the city, but you need 20’ walking. This is not a problem, because the way to the center is nice. But it should be clarified too

The room was well equipment and private. There was a lovely view of the Koi pond which was pleasing. Location very close to the tram and easy walking to historical places of interest. The bonus which we did not know on booking this property is the michelin star restaurant. Highly recommend, excellent A1 Service, Food and Wine. Breakfast was also tasty and well served. A shout out to all the staff, especially the front desk personnel, very helpful and professional

The 2 bedroom family room was very large. One bedroom had a small balcony overlooking the courtyard and koi pond. It was a lovely spot to relax between busy tourist activities. We stayed on a Friday & Sat night and although there was a little bit of traffic outside, it was nice and quiet inside. It was a short 6 min walk to the Christmas markets & town centre - for anyone with mobility issues the last part of the walk back to the hotel is on a bit of an incline. However, I believe there is a bus & tram stop just opposite the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. They offer a buffet breakfast for £15/person. It looked good. Unfortunately we have a coeliac in our group so buffets don’t work for us (cross contamination with gluten very high). Fortunately, we were only a short walk from Isabella patisserie (100% gluten free cafe).

I forgot to mention when we checked out the shower head in our room I think was a bit odd - could only have a heavy narrow stream of water (like a hose), rather than the lighter more spread out spray. But it didn’t stop us from having a lovely warm shower. And it wouldn’t stop me from returning.

The hotel has an excellent location: close to the centre (15 min. walking), near the metro station that connects the airport and the whole city (3 min. walking), parking available, inner courtyard, on the road that goes up to the vineyards, with vegetation nearby. If you like to wake up in the morning and enjoy the birdsong, choose this boutique hotel with beautiful architecture and inspiring interior design. You can indulge in a delicious dinner that competes with Michelin restaurants at an affordable price, where you can sample exquisite, collectible wines from Swabian vineyards.You can spend a nice time both in the restaurant and on the terrace under the vine canopy, where you can admire the aquarium which is the indoor continuation of the exotic fish tank in the courtyard. The staff are very attentive to customer wishes, are particularly friendly and speak good English. It makes you feel spoiled. It is a location I highly recommend and where I will return to! Customer loyalty is proof of quality and a good marketing policy. Congratulations and thanks!

Although located on a busy thoroughfare the sound insulation was very effective, even in the rooms facing the road. But the great thing about this hotel is the gourmet food. Excellent evening meal and lovely breakfast. People come just for the restaurant.

The ordinary rooms in the old part of the hotel are OK but the garden suites would probably be more spacious/comfortable.

It was quiet and tidy, beautiful view from the windows, clean bathroom and really comfortable beds, lots of food and drinks at the mini bar (which was refilled 3 times), comfortable parking, comfortable location right in the city center, unobtrusive, but polite staff. Also, the fact that we arrived one day before the booked time was not a problem, as we warned the staff and the room was prepared the day prior.

Amazing experience. Great hotel and staff. My wife and I travel a lot and we have had many amazing experiences and never write reviews but our stay here, although one night was fantastic. Thank you everyone at Zur Weinsteige. Beautiful hotel and a surprisingly fun city.

Interesting property with good facilities. Comfy pillows and large bed. Excellent covered garage and lovely roof garden to enjoy a warm evening. Friendly staff.

Not in the prettiest part of Stuttgart. Lots of litter and fly tipping on route into the city centre.

A little bit aged, but overall good Hotel. Room and breakfast was good, more or less the minimum you expect for 4 Stars.

The location is on a main road with the train running in front (the good windows largly keeping the noise out however). The surrounding is not really nice, but Ok if you only stay there for night for business for example. The price for the room was high (I think driven by the exhibition), but still in line with other Hotels in this region at this time. Under normal circumstance I would not pay >220€ per night for this Hotel given the location and the room I had .... I would see it more being in the category of 100-140€ per night.
