Accra is expensive and this is the only place that I found with value for money. Part of it is a hostel but I got a private room and it worked great for me. The room was very clean, with a private bathroom, and a terrace. The private room is equipped with an AC and a ceiling fan so even if it was very a warm season, I was always very comfortable in my room. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are great. There's a bar by the pool and it's just nice to chill there on a warm evening. The hotel is located slightly outside the city center but it was perfect for me as I wanted to see more than just the busy center of Accra. Everything is very easily accessible from the hotel with an uber. If you are worried about mosquitoes, I didn't have any issues with them at any point of my stay at the hotel.
The street next to the hotel got pretty loud on Friday/Saturday night (I stayed during the Easter weekend, so I'm not sure if it's the case during other non-holiday periods) and it was a bit hard to find sleep - but that is not something the hotel can necessarily do anything about and I get that. Maybe other rooms were quieter. There were occasionally some tiny cockroaches in the bathroom but I had my own bug spray and it was all fine (none in the bedroom though).

Here's a more detailed version: --- This hotel truly felt like a cozy home during my first visit to Ghana. I arrived in the evening and was warmly welcomed by Destiny, who helped me throughout my stay, making everything easy and enjoyable. Regina and her kitchen team deserve a big shoutout for serving delicious food every day, especially the fresh bread at breakfast, which was a real treat. Chi Chi at the bar had a great personality and was always up for a good conversation, adding fun to my evenings. Geoffrey at the reception was incredibly helpful, guiding me on how to navigate the local transportation system efficiently. Additionally, Doreen in the shop was fantastic, crafting custom clothing for me that fit perfectly. The people here genuinely have a passion for hosting and making guests feel special, which is why this place stands out. I’ll definitely return because it feels like a second home, thanks to the wonderful and dedicated staff.

Somewhere Nice really honours it's name. The name is almost too humbly chosen as it is more than nice. It's somewhere beautiful! The hospitality, the people you meet, the life inside that place and the really cool look and design of the interior architecture is just amazing. I could live there. Best Hostel I have ever been to. Experience for yourself.
Nothing, everything was great.

This is a great hostel, it has a bar with a big choice of alco drinks and also there's a lady cook who can prepare various meals. There's a swimming pool and people hang out around it. Staff was very helpful with any questions we had, the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good with quite a good choice for Ghana (pancakes, eggs, fruit, peanut butter etc)
The location is not very interesting, not much to see and do within walking distance (apart from local daily life;). You need to take a cab/uber to get anywhere. But we just stayed there for one night after arrival and it was perfect for this purpose.

The breakfast was great. Our stay was really good. Unfortunately the air-conditioning was not working in the shared dorm, so we were upgraded and ended up having a room all to ourselves. This made our stay have a great value for the money paid.
But other than that I do feel like 25 dollars for a bed in a shared dorm room is just too much money, especially considering that that is even more than you would pay for a dorm room in Europe.

We (2 adults and 3 kids) stayed in the family room as well as in other rooms with 2 and 3 beds and really enjoyed our stay! The rooms are so nice and we had the best shower in Ghana :-)! All our rooms had access to a balcony to enjoy the atmosphere in the nice neighbourhood. The staff at somewhere nice is super friendly and helpful. At night, we had drinks while the kids played in the pool. We felt so much love for details in this place which made our time here very special and we really hope to be back one day! This will for sure be our go-to-place in Accra!

I really loved somewhere nice. I have stayed there several nights. I stayed in a female dorm. It’s nice and clean. Bathroom is spacious. AC worked really well and so the WiFi. Some days I hanged out at the pool. It was nice - the water it’s not super cold but it’s nice for a little refreshing. The staff and the front desk was all the time friendly, smiley and helpful. The breakfast is great and delicious. I loved it. Nii and the other staff members of the kitchen are great and lovely. I highly recommend the place. It’s a great place to be in Accra.

All guests and the somewhere nice team were great and very relaxed. Especially one 40 years old name was special… they call him Noldier (No + Soldier) because he went to military in the past and never became a soldier! He is one of the good souls of somewhere nice! Happy to see all of the soon :)
everything was great :)

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they’ll do what they can to accommodate your needs. The setting is very relaxing with cushioned chairs, a pool, lots of green plants and a pool and a bar with a restaurant. I really enjoyed the breakfasts. I like the new addition of privacy curtains in the dorms.
The only thing I can think of is that I wish there was honey for the pancakes, but the fruit and jam was fine also.
