The location was awesome. It was only about 2 blocks from the Acropoplis museum, Plaka and lots of nice restaurants. You coud take subway from airport to Syntagma then to Akropoli stop and walk there. It was very clean and had new modern bathroom fixtures and furniture. Despite being near 2 very busy streets, our room was quiet at night. When I used Google maps to zoom in on street view, I was a little apprehensive that the surrounding buildings did not look too nice, even though the hotel itself looked good. When we got there though we found the surroundings to be safe with little foot or car traffic.

The steps to our room were rather steep ( for olser people). If I had known, I would have requested a room on the lower floor.

Everything (Darling Boutique hotel) the staff is incredibly nice (we were a little partial to Emma as she helped every step of the way). We were treated just like family. We’re able to check in early both times which really made it convenient. We will definitely recommend this hotel in the future very close to the Acropolis, Parthenon, museum, temple of Zeus and very nice outdoor restaurants.

Upon driving up to the property there is a lot of graffiti which gives the wrong impression (There is graffiti everywhere in Athens) this hotel is in between two ancient empty buildings it’s, so adorable. May be a good idea to bolt down the room safes and a microwave would be a plus.

the hotel has been recently renovated, looks new, clean and comfortable. everything in the room is new and good quality, good pillows of different hardness, a good blanket, the bathroom has everything you need a hair dryer, a set of cosmetics, new towels. inside the hotel there is a small courtyard. Coffee machine nespresso inside my room was soo pleasant surprise. most important advantage for me is that the main attraction of the Parthenon and the area with cozy cafes and shops is 10 minutes walking, which is very convenient. the metro is also 10 minutes walk away. I was pleased with the combination of price, quality and location

Personally, I had no objections, but some tourists might find it unpleasant that the hotel is located between two ruined buildings of old houses

Good location close-by the Actopolis Museum

Few feedback - there is no proper wardrobe so you need to keep most of your clothes in the luggage - bathroom sink: not sure why but bathroom is big enough but they have added a tiny/small sink which make hard to use to. Also the tap is too big for the sink which does not help - Friday/Saturday there was a really loud music on the backyard probably coming from a bar near-by. I could not properly sleep until 2am - there is no natural light which comes only from windows that goes directly to the courtyard were others guests might pass-by. For privacy I barely opened it. There is a tiny small window near the bed

The hotel's location is great. It is in a very short walking distance from the Acropolis Museum and Plaka District and many other popular destinations. There are many nice restaurants, cafes and shops nearby which you can easily reach. Though it is located in the heart of the citycentre, the hotel provides rooms with a calmingly pieceful and quiet environment. The room was extremely clean and the decoration was very pleasing. The coffee machine and the kettle added to the comfort of the room. Above all the staff at the reception was really kind and they were always there to help whenever needed . I would like to stay there again next time

I enjoyed my stay there but a bigger basin would do better

When i arrived the staff Emma on Reception (thats a shortened version of her lovely Greek name) and Oli who looked after my luggage could not have been kinder or more helpful. Nothing was a problem i arrived before 10am and they had my room ready for me less than half an hour later which i didn't expect. The rooms are small but have everything you need including coffee / tea/ water left in the fridge they also had the air conditioning turned on in my room ....my room and the entire hotel (which is small but lovely) was spotless. The location is fantastic if i return to Athens i would definitely stay again it is perfect for someone who is looking for somewhere clean, and well located to stay in but otherwise is out and about seeing Athens.

The staff was exceptional. Evie and her husband were so helpful! Everything was very clean and well-maintained. There is A lot of renovations taking place in nearby buildings. That did not bother us at all, we did not hear any noise. But when you first drive up the area looks a little sketchy until you see this gorgeous little boutique hotel that just exceeded all of our expectations. I can’t wait to see the other buildings renovated, and how cute that area will be. The hotel is in close walking distance to the acropolis, Plaka, and all the other sites we wanted to see.

The staff are superfriendly and very accommodating. We came early morning and they allowed us to check in earlier than expected. They even changed the room to a bigger one with a extra bed. The rooms are modest sized but the location made up for it. Excellent location and within walking distance to the centre and a supermarket and restaurant. Eve was very very helpful and friendly. Will come again and stay in the same hotel.

Nothing at all.

Evie and her husband were exceptional hosts! After multiple delayed flights I pulled up at 4:30 AM and was greeted warmly even though I got them out of bed. Many buildings around the area have construction going on and will hopefully soon have the same charm as Living Yard. JQuestions about surrounding attractions and restaurants were answered enthusiastically. The location is superb for walking to the Acropolis, Plaka and other places of interest. We will be staying there again in October.
