It was very centrally located close to the Kitroplateia beach and not far away in walking distance to the center. The room was basic with a reasonably sized bathroom and even a bathtub. The A/C worked well and the balcony even though small can be used to sit but we mostly used it to dry our beach stuff. Has a lift to the upper floors. Good value for money, it was by far the cheapest accommodation we found and even though it was basic we weren’t spending much time in the room anyway so it suited our needs. Plus the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Some things to consider: - the hotel is on a hill and you always need to climb stairs to get there - getting there by car was a bit of an adventure as a lot of streets are one-way and too tight to fit a medium sized car in - the walls are thin, if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs

Communication with the host was excellent, smooth check-in in early morning hours (we arrived at 3.30 am), hospitality and friendliness of all hotel staff, useful tips from the owner for what to do and see/where to eat in and around Agios Nikolaos. Sense of humour. The gorgeous and huge terrace with a magnificent sea view, spotless cleanliness of the room and bed covers, vicinity of excellent restaurants.

A sun umbrella on the terrace was missing for perfect coffee sipping in the morning.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartment was very spacious. The views from our room were second to none.

It wasn’t the properties fault. But to attain the beautiful views the hotel has a high position (to be fair as do a lot of the properties in Agios Nikolaos due to its layout) but this meant an option of really steep inclines or between 40-60 steps depending which route you took to and from the property which I personally found difficult in the hot temperatures.

The location was incredible, a few meters to a small shop, 150 meters to a small beach and about the same to the center of town. Room clean, nice view, small kitchen. I want to come back for a longer stay in this beautiful city.

I had an end room and the internet was a little slow in the bedroom, ok in the kitchen area. There is an elevator but I'm fine with using the stairs even at 73, so I enjoy the exercise. Really loved the place and the town, certainly my favorite city on Crete.

Staff were friendly, helpful, and had good English. It was good to have a balcony which got the early morning sun - vety nice to eat breakfast. There was a large kitchen space with a dining table - not that I used the cooking facilities. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfy. The location was convenient, especially after I found the various steps. I really enjoyed having sea views.

location was perfect, central, close to everything room was spacious and well equipped he view from the 1st floor is limited by the building in front of it. You can see the sea along the sides

smoking on the balcony, even if you don't smoke yourself, you will get all the smoke from the neighbors through an open window or while sitting on the balcony

The room is a good size with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable twin beds with nice linens and pillows. The bathroom is spacious with tub-shower combination and counter with sink so room to put all your toiletries. We had a very spacious deck with a small table and 2 chairs and view of the sea above the roof tops. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We found parking on the street in front.

The hotel is hard to find and requires navigating your way up steep, narrow, one-way streets. As it is located on top of a hill and one must walk up steep stairs or harbour access road. It is not a good choice for anyone with mobility.issues.

Excellent,extra confortable beds! Nice,clean apartment with just perfect sea view ( from balcony due to elevation you have feeling the sea is just under your feet). Staff was so friendly and helpful! Huge thanks to Kaya the receptionist for help with my bookings of tours around Crete and other stuff! :) Alison and Bernadete are also great, we always had nice chats where I got lot of useful tips what to see,where to eat etc :) For solo traveler this really means a lot! Probably the best hotel I' ve been so far in terms of hospitality! Also,amazing location- quiet street, not in any of harbours and far from noise but close to downtown, shops,tavernas... Simply great :)

We loved everything. This was our second stay in Creta Hotel and we surely will come back. We adored a magnificent sea view from huge balcony, beds were excellent and we have very good kitchette. Everything so spotless and charming decorate. Staff is amazing, always so happy and helpful.

This hotel was beautifully positioned , having a spacious balcony overlooking the sea.5 minutes walking from the beach in one direction, and the town in the other. Very well equipped kitchen with microwave/ coffee machine, in fact all you could need. The owner was a lovely lady, who did everything she could to make my stay enjoyable ( even lending me her specs when I couldn't read the small print!) and she was a brilliant conversationalist. So - a huge thank you!
