It's beautifully designed and the beach is private and the area is quiet. It is definitely a place of peace and calm. The white washed walls of the villas and the plants and flowers make it really beautiful to wander through. The room felt new, fresh and spacious. The food at Si La restaurant is excellent and the setting is gorgeous especially at sunset. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. All in all very easy and relaxed atmosphere.

Unfortunately the sea was full of seaweed when I arrived as both beaches of the hotel are coves but when/if it clears it's lovely. But I think that's the case for most of the northern shores around Heraklion..? Also was a little surprised when I found out on arrival that even though I had paid for half board, I was given a voucher to choose for only one of the restaurants (there are two other than the buffet - Swell and Si La) and the rest of my stay I was allowed to eat only at the buffet restaurant. When I questioned this as it's not stated when you book, I was immediately given another voucher. I was only there 3 nights so I ate out the 3rd night.

Pool on our terrace was absolutely fabulous and the view was stunning. Food was great and the location is very good, just 8 km from the airport.

There were issues with our private pool, the lights didn't work so we couldn't enjoy the atmosphere in the evening. Also, the water was overheated for 2 days of our stay, it was like a jacuzzi and not a pool. We also had issues with hot water in our shower, it was burning hot and we could not get cold water running for 3 days. Staff was not always very helpful, you had to go from one to another to get things sorted out. We expected more from a 5-star resort.

The "Suite Water Front with Private Pool" is an amazing Suite with a Private Pool, you have Direct sea view from the pool and all resting areas. Its a perfect spot for couples to spend an incredible time. You can enjoy the beach and when it gets too hot you can rest in your private pool or room.

Minor Complaints (as some others have said) the beach cabanas could be cleaner and some spots could do with a repaint (outside). But the room is spotless and it didnt affect our enjoyment at all. We liked the "Si La" restaurant a bit better than "swell" as we got a perfect table for dinner with an amazing view and great staff. Both restaurants could have a slightly bigger selection for longer stays. But these are minor complaints.

Knossos Beach staff are out of this world, very special, caring and a welcome smile for every moment. Lovely sandy beach, excellent food, best beds and showers. Special mention to the dynamic duo in Guest Services and all the restaurants and bars’ staff. Exceptional!

The location is challenging g so close to Heraklion airport. OK to see the planes going over daytime but through the night is very disruptive for sleep. Bring ear plugs!

The location and room, with a private pool on the beach, is as close to paradise as you can expect. It's a truly stunning environment. The options for breakfast and dinner are exceptional, and the staff are polite, friendly and attentive.

I was very, very pleased with my trip, so any improvements would be very nit-picky. The wifi was sometimes a little unreliable, but not enough to be a major negative.

Staff, food, and rooms were all wonderful! I felt very happy and comfortable here. The staff were so warm, friendly, and helpful. Vicky at the lunch restaurant was especially great and guest relations went out of their way to help make our anniversary more special. The property is beautiful and spa so relaxing. Highly recommend!

The pool was super cold which I'm sure would be nice in July (I went in April)

The hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, you can hear the noise of landing planes Beach beds a bit dirty, not cleaned regularly To sum it up - definitely worth the money, we enjoyed our stay at Knossos and would love to come again :-)

The staff were amazing! We flew in late and we're very tired. The staff found us food to take back to our room so we didn't have to look for an open restaurant. The food recommendations were welcomed and very good. We were excited to eat local! Overall it was an exceptional experience.

The view is fantastic - right in front of the beach, and the sand was pleasant to touch. The food was OK and varied. The food in the nearby restaurants to the hotel was also delicious.

The heated pool in the room wasn't as hot as we expected it to be. The wasn't complete privacy on the room's balcony, as people from other rooms could look inside our balcony. The hotel is very far from the other main attractions of Crete, meaning that you will probably stay in the hotel area and that's it because the rest of the places are hours away.
