I recently had the pleasure of staying at Poseidon Hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough. As a family-run establishment, the hotel exudes warmth and a personal touch that made our stay truly special. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service. The owners and staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable; our room was spotless, with fresh sheets every two days and new towels provided daily. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the personal touches from the owners. They took the time to share information about local family-owned businesses, which helped us discover the true essence of the area. Their recommendations led us to some fantastic spots that we might have otherwise missed, making our travel experience genuinely authentic. Nothing to share regarding negative experiences

Our stay at Hotel Poseidon was amazing! Perfect location extremely close to bus stops to Chora town, brilliant pool and bar and so clean! Marina really made our stay so special. She was so kind, fun and was available whenever we needed. It was a pleasure to get to know her and we will absolutely be returning soon. I would 100% recommend this place if travelling to Ios. Good spot, quick walk or bus into town. Great pool and facilities and staff were super friendly

This is the most fantastic hotel at the port of IOS. Me and my family have returned to this hotel more than once because it is such a fantastic, friendly, pretty hotel not to mention the friendliness of the family that owns it and the location. It is a short walk from the ferry port, and sits in little above the town so you get a wonderful view, especially at sunset, and a great breeze as well. The family really embody the friendly hospitable spirit of the Greek people and I will always return there!

This hotel is family run, which made me and my friends feel so so safe and comfortable. The staff were so kind, helpful and attentive and there was a vibrant atmosphere at all times at the pool. Room service was perfect! We are so lucky to have found such a lovely spot that was soooo close to the beautiful clean beach. As an Irish woman I can safely say this place is made for the Irish who love à bit of craic !

Our stay was fantastic! The owners Marina and her partner were amazing. Cannot fault the accomodation and would recommend to anyone. Will definitely be booking again next time we travel to ios.

Marina was so accomodating to our very large group of 15. Her and her husband helped us with our bags. Pool was lush with a swim up bar with mojitos. Felt like a million bucks.

Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels.

Hotel is located at the Port visible from when you leave the Ferry so no need for transport. On arrival our host Marianna was very friendly and welcoming, it is a family run hotel where the staff could do no more for you. When we arrived a couple were arriving at the same time and they come back to this place every year for a week. The Pool was glorious and the poolside bar with bar stools in the pool were a lovely touch. We didn't use the games room which is beside the pool and there are plenty of restaurants and bars around the port catering for many different cuisines. The local bus service every twenty minutes went to the the main town of Ios and another beach the far side of the island. (€2 a trip)

The steps were about the only negative but to be fair the property does state that on the site. It does have a disabled stair lift and staff helped with carrying bags around the hotel including from the bottom steps. The bathroom was small and maybe converting it to a full wet room might be a better solution.

Paradise Found! I stayed for 5 nights at this hotel with my teenage daughter. The hosts (Marina and Spyros) were very helpful and thoughtful; made us feel very welcome. Our room was well maintained and very clean (with daily cleaning service), overlooking the marina, and the bay with beautiful views of the sunset from one side and the picturesque Ios Village (Chora) on the other. Nice communal veranda to chill out and take it all in! Nice swimming pool and decking area. Very close to the local supermarket, Yalos Beach, Ktel Bus stop, and local bakery, taverns, and cafes. Good Wifi.
