This property had an easy check-in (during which they gave us some supremely helpful information about Meteora), the room had a comfy bed, and unlike so many other places I've stayed in Greece, it was quiet. There weren't any cars roaring by in the night, nor any noises from inside the hotel itself. I've come to really value this. It's also very close to a boardwalk area with lots of restaurants and a playground, but not in the area in a way that would create noise. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast spread was incredible, with homemade jams and cakes. I wish we had stayed another night.

Charming guesthouse, great location, easy walk to town yet in a residential and quiet neighborhood. We have walking difficulties and still had no problem walking the few blocks into town. Fantastic views of Meteora too. However, the best part was the staff! Also, there is an adorable cat (black kitten about 6 months old in October 2024) who is a stray but lives there. She is very sweet and warmed our hearts. We felt like we were staying with friends, yet professionally managed and very clean.

I am a swimmer and booked it partially because of the pool. However, I know Europe has different standards than America. I was unable to swim because there were no steps into the pool, only a ladder. I am somewhat disable and this made it impossible for me to get into (or out of) the pool. Also, the water felt quite cold. Yet, it was a great area to relax poolside.

The hotel itself is very good and clean. Located in a good and quiet area not far from the center of the city and the Meteora. It has also view to Meteora and swimming pool which unfortunately we couldn't use it due to the weather conditions. Rooms are new and spacious with balconies. Very warm and clean. Wifi was working properly. Breakfast was very good and price was also good. Staff is also very kind and helpfull

Although rooms were new, shower of the bathroom was looking old and not well preserved. Amenities were not so many for a couple (one shower gel and one shampoo per day). Finally a local touch on the breakfast would be a good addition and also an addition of a second type of cheese and turkey and bacon would make it the best. Spinach pie was not something special

The staff (especially Dita) were all most helpful right from the beginning when we first made the booking. We asked about conducted tours to the monasteries and they suggested we wait until we arrived to talk through the options. They gave us information on the town, booked taxis and made the monastery tour bookings for us. Although only two floors, the hotel had a lift which was most welcome. Our upstairs room was very specious with a balcony view of the pool, with the spectacular rock formations and three of the mountain-top monasteries in the background. A dip in the pool was the perfect follow-up to a long morning of climbing steps to and from the monasteries! We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and enjoyed ourselves very much.

Nothing!

The location with the view - from the pool area you can really see one of the monasteries, great landscape. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The pool is not too big, but has adequate depth so kids can also enyoy it (goes from 0.6 to 1.8+ m) The room was bigger than expected and everything worked like a charm. They have a small bar menu when staying at the pool and the prices are more than reasonable. The receptionists can offer you a map and excellent tips for visiting the monasteries. We only visited the two biggest of them (Great Meteoron and Varlaam) but the "minor details" the receptionists knew made the difference between being able to park and visit and not get sunburned or no visit at all.

Probably the single detail I can think of is the AC exterior unit pointed inside the balcony - turn on the aircon and you can't go in the balcony because it blows all the hot air in it. It did turbo dry the towels though :D Parking is possible on the street only and it is not shaded.

From the first moment I stepped in to the hotel with my granddaughter we were so happy we chose to stay here! Lovely and friendly lady at the reception upgraded us to a huge, clean and beautiful triple room. Beds were most comfortable with classy linen. Big bottle of water in the fridge. In the bathroom shower stall, toiletries and even a make up towel. Breakfast was awesome and tasty!! Lovely pool area. Free and easy parking. Thank you so much Monastery Guesthouse for making our stay so special ❤️. Keep up the good work! Greetings from Anitta and Maria from Finland

Loved every minute of our stay

beautiful location, very close to the centre of town and all the Meteora monasteries. very friendly and supportive staff, went out of their way to assist us and make our stay comfortable. We were given a nice hand-drawn map of the Meteora region at check-in that was very helpful. the breakfast was decent. the view from the rooms was very nice and the rooms were clean, large and artfully decorated. one of the wings of the property (the one we were staying in) did not have an elevator so preferable to travel light.

the breakfast spread was slightly limited but understandable given the location.

Spacious and comfortable room with view towards Meteora. The location is good - far enough from the town centre to be peaceful but a manageable walk to the restaurant area. Easy parking. We were given a helpful map by the hotel to get us started. For greater detail others may find this map helpful too.

Our bathroom had a small bathtub with a shower above it. My strong preference is for a conventional walk-in shower. I think our room was exceptional in this respect - I gather other rooms have normal showers.

The guesthouse is conveniently located close to town, restaurants, and the monasteries. On each of the mornings we stayed, our day began with a large breakfast and a short drive to the monasteries or other local sites. The staff were very helpful, providing us a local map, viewing times and other suggestions. We were there around May 1, so we did not use the pool given the cool weather. It looked very inviting however. Overall, we would stay here again.

No complaints.

We had a very large unit on the main floor, the bed was comfortable. They had an excellent breakfast with a large selection. It was a 5 minute walk to the main street which had a large selection of restaurants and stores. The receptionist was really helpful and laid out where the monasteries were located and how to approach visiting them (which was very helpful). She also referred us to a very fine restaurant where we enjoyed one of our finer meals in Greece. Had the train been working (the floods prevented that), it would have been 1 minute to walk from the train station to the hotel. Location is very good.
