What great little guest house.Quaint and traditional..Situated in a quiet area just 5 minwalk from town square. The rooms have lots of character.Our balcony looked up to the amazing rocks Rooms are very clean.Beds comfotable.Plantanos Taverna serves tasty and well priced meals. Clientel is a mix of locals and travelers. 10 min walk from train station.Which is no longer operating as a train station but drop off /pick up point for buses going to Palaeofarsalos train station which is the dropoff point for conecting to Athens or Thessilonika.Loved our stay here.Highly recommend.

Dita was very friendly and helpful with everything. She explained the routes to the monasteries, recommended walks, local restaurants, and cafes. The room had the most amazing views, was clean and comfortable. The balcony had chairs as well. Would definitely stay and recommend.

We liked everything, but it would have been nice to have a couple of plates and a set of cutlery available. We wanted to buy some fruits and vegetables to enjoy the balcony and watch the sunset, but we had nothing to cut it with or eat of. Just a little suggestion as it surely is helpful for people staying more than 1 night, as we did.

Operated by very friendly and helpful hosts who have clearly given their accommodation some thought, these are well located, spotlessly clean, small but very functional rooms which are colourfully refurbished in a cosy traditional style. The balcony rooms have a view of the Meteora. Restaurants and other facilities are close by, there is easy access to the start of the main hiking trails and the railway station is a fairly easy 10 minute walk. Definitely a very good budget choice for a visit to this truly spectacular area.

Sadly, the Guesthouse's own lovely-looking taverna on the ground floor was closed at the time of my visit.

Public parking right in front of the building. Friendly and welcoming owner who gave us his map of the Meteora Monasteries including the number of steps to climb for each monastery and their opening hours. This is helpful for planning the visits because hordes of busses flood the area during tourist season.

We booked the room "with Meteora view" which cost about 9 Euros more because it said "with balcony" and not "with shared terrace" and there was a recent enthusiastic review of exactly that room. I am not really sure if we got that room because there was no Meteora view and the adjacent room was on the same terrace (separated with a railing only). We didn't complain though because the owner was friendly and we were ok with the situation.

Great location. Easy to get to, and to get around. Within walking distance of restaurants and the town square and yet quiet and idyllic. Room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful rustic look and feel in its furnishings and a view of the Meteoras from the balcony. Hosts were wonderful. Drove down to the train station to pick us up on their own accord and provided us with a really useful map and tips on getting around the town and up to the Meteoras. And we really love Kalambaka. It has all the restaurants, cafes, tourist info centre etc that tourists would want but retains a wonderful small town vibe.

A quiet well situated guest house. Spiros, the manager, gave us helpful advice and a map he had drawn to guide us up to the Meteora Monasteries and view points. We could park our car within metres of the front door, and were able to bypass the busy town area by a direct road up to the Meteora Monasteries. The nearby Taverna choice was great, and again, Spiro advised us of a brilliant traditional taverna within easy walking distance, with wonderful food and interesting photos of the local scene last century. The service was excellent.

Mythos guesthouse is in a really lovely part of kalabaka. It is very close to delicious bakeries and lovely food options, as well as the tourist centre and bus station. The room I stayed in was fabulous. A big four poster bed, with aircon which was very welcome on such hot summer days. There is a sweet balcony off the rooms with views. The staff were very welcoming and the room was impeccably clean. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe and relaxed and I really enjoyed my stay!

Amazing stay at Mythos Guesthouse ! We arrived in the afternoon, had a great welcome with a very useful map and advice. The room was great, amazing view on the Meteores. Perfect decor. The beds were very confortable and the bathroom was one of the best we've had in Greece (and we've been travelling to Greece and Crete for 15 years !) The hotel was just a few hundred meters away from the town center, great restaurants and little shops (gifts as well as supermarkets). Thank you for everything, we definitely recommend !

Really clean room, nice location, not far from anything. The host was professional and he showed us everything we need to know about meteora area from the map. Honestly nothing bad to say about the place. :)

Wifi didn't work but to be fair Kalampaka is in the middle of the mountain area so the internet connection is bad overall, not the guesthouse's or anybody's fault. Maybe just good to know in general to make a little research about the area before going there in case of bad network connections.

The host was extremely welcoming. We arrived around 9 pm and he was waiting for us. Gave us a map and explained everything we need to know and see. The location of the hotel is great, 5 min away from everything (on foot), and the fact that there is a parking in front it made it even better. Our room had a view towards Meteora. It was very clean, and the sheets pristine white. I would go again.

the pillows, they were on the hard side for me, but I guess it is a matter of preference :)
