This hotel and its staff are world class. Amazing hospitality. We loved every minute of our stay from the welcome tour to the final moments poolside before our flight. The staff went the extra mile to make our wedding anniversary really special. Having explored much of the island, we are also convinced the location is one of the underrated features; the views on the island and sea are beautiful and in a more peaceful setting away from the big resorts and towns. The food and drinks are also really good; we had breakfast included but also had dinner a couple of nights. Really nice menu and more upscale then most of the restaurants you will find on the island. Rooms are spacious and very clean; we were impressed how well and frequent our room was kept. Many reviews comment on the “hill” that you need to walk from most (but not all) of the rooms. We actually enjoyed our walks as we got in a little bit of exercise every day! For arrival, departure and/or whenever you need it they can also take you up/down on a golf cart. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and beautiful place to stay on Kos.

One (small) thing: coffee service at breakfast is limited. You need to ask for refills while an improvement could be self-service from the buffet or bringing a small pot of coffee to the table for multiple servings.

Amazing hotel set on a hill side so view is second to none. We were lucky enough to have a suite with a private pool which was incredible. Staff go above and beyond and are so friendly and helpful, reception, restaurant staff, the guys driving the golf carts, nothing was too much trouble. The bar and restaurant have a great view and the main pool also has a bar / lunch service which was really good. The local area has lots of good restaurants and beaches We did not want to leave and would highly recommend.

The hotel is high on a hillside so to get down to the town you either need a transfer from the hotel or you can walk down ( it is steep but manageable around 5-7 minutes walk) however you cannot walk back this way after dark as it is unlit, the hotel were always quick to send a pick up but it does add to the cost.

The view of the hotel from the villas/rooms/main pool/main restaurant/breakfast is Breath-Taking! that is the only thing in the hotel that really can be classified as 5+ stars! you can never get bored of it. 5+stars: The View 5 stars: The cocktails at the evening bar. 4+ stars: Rooms - A little dated but overall very nice, our room was probably the worst (SPA 1) with a bad balcony but lovely view of the bay from the inside, did not bother us as it was massive. we did have an issue with the indoor SPA (see below). No smart tv on room. 4 stars: Staff - they were really nice, most of them deserve 5 stars but a few of them did not. We had an issue with the indoor spa in our room. we turned it on and we started coughing because of the fumes. we highlighted the issue the morning after and instead of being told the usual "sorry we will check and rectify" we were told that this had never happened before in 4 years. If a guest highlights the fact that we were both coughing in the room, you just can not answer that this has never happened in 4 yrs and it is not possible that some toxic fumes were there, especially if you are a member of staff of a 5 star hotel! in fact they checked the room, found an "issue" and sorted the issue. They never told us what the issue was (we think they never lifted the hot tub cover and aired the hot tub enough when they put the oxygen tablets in to clean it, so a gas plume formed. enough to make the room stink and make you cough/ruin your night). 4 stars: Evening Restaurant was good, we enjoyed it. you may get bored after 4-5 days though. 3 stars: breakfast buffet - not a bad one, but definitely not 5 star. good for 4-5 days but it will get boring. just don't understand the difference in quality between the evening food and the breakfast... strange. 3 stars: Vibe - the hotel is very quiet. so quiet that guests almost feel like they need to keep quiet.

See above. overall is a really nice place. Just not a 5 star, more a 4 to 4+. Also I never had a member of staff checking the mini bar in front of you while you are leaving the room on the morning you are leaving. not quite 5-star manners.

Beautiful hotel with incredible views. This is a relatively new hotel so everything looks great and is very clean. The pool area is really peaceful and with a great view of Kos. The rooms are really beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Some have their own private pool and mine had a hot tub, which was delightful. The staff reception and bar staff are very attentive and friendly. I had a late evening flight and an important Skype call in the afternoon so requested a late check out for privacy and despite my room being unavailable, they accommodated my request with a new room for the day, at a very reasonable fee. I really appreciated the assistance with this. The food and drinks are a little on the expensive side but to be expected for the quality of hotel and the convenience of eating here since it's a little secluded. The breakfast was fantastic, great choice and quality. It's an adult only hotel so it's very quiet and peaceful. It's a 20 minute drive from the airport, taxis are expensive here so expect 35-40 euro per trip. Before coming to this hotel I travelled a bit of Kos and some Islands and would recommend hiring a car if you want to travel various locations as taxis are expensive and not always easy to find.

The hotel is named White Rock so it's not unexpected to be high up and on an incline but the road to the rooms is very steep, for less able it could be difficult. The hotel has golf carts which will pick you up on request and I would recommend using these. My room wasn't far so I thought it was a bit silly but I actually fell walking down the hill as my foot slipped as it's a smooth, steep surface.

Location is amazing - great view of the bay. Private pool was also great as was the overall size of the suites - very comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable as the options changed every day vs the same thing over and over again. Nice Greek sweets were included in the breakfast as well.

As a 5 star I would expect much nicer towels (bath and pool), bed sheets and overall furnishings in the suites. These were cheaper than normal for a 5 star hotel. Service was friendly but again lacked the feeling of a 5 start hotel

Our room had the most beautiful pool with stunning views. So peaceful. Gorgeous sunrise and sunsets each evening. All rooms are really private and not overlooked. Lots of cute cats near the property so if you like cute kittens you’ll love it!

Breakfast room was very bright from the glare of the sea and white paint so sometimes has to wear sunglasses for breakfast but that wasn’t really a problem. Hard to say what we didn’t like as hotel was so nice.

This was the best holiday ever! What we appreciated the most were the nice, friendly staff with whom we made something like a friendship! I love the White Rock of Kos because of the great hospitality, the beautiful and clean rooms, of course I can not forget the breathtaking view from the two balconies - yes, you heard right - we had two balconies. The rooms were exceptional, the housekeeping was excellent (the lady from Germany was so nice to do everything for us), and the drivers too. I would like to thank the receptionists who were so kind, understanding and tireless, the masseuse who was so nice, and the rest of the hotel staff as well. The food was exceptional! Mamma mia, fantastic breakfast (a variety of Greek products, all very tasty, always fresh fruit, spreads, salads, desserts and everything your heart desires)! So this was truly a honeymoon for us! I recommend it to those who are willing to pay a little more for the price, but get an exceptional quality of stay with an unforgettable view!

Nothing noteworthy!

Nice hotel, exciting view from the balcony down to the beach, all brandnew. Staff is outstanding - the crew serving breakfast was one of the best we ever experienced - extremely friendly team working. There are several buildings going down the hill - we had one of the lower ones - so to get up to the main building where the pool is located and breakfast is served there's an option to call a golf-cart at the reception or using the climbing for exercising....The suite with a jacuzzi outside is really spacious and provides a lot of privacy.

There's nothing to complain about....

The view from balcony was outstanding from a perfectly clean and spacious room. The hot tub addition was relaxing to use day or night. Bed was super huge and comfortable and lovely pillows for sleeping. Breakfast buffet was huge, loads of options and always different touches each day. Room service for food was quick and well presented. The warm welcome on arrival , complimentary welcome drink with chat about hotel was very personal touch. On entering room there was ice bucket full of ice with complimentary drink. The outside pool bar was just perfect, such a helpful guy serving, so proud of hotel and Kefalos , always there to to help with food choices and drinks and the pool has comfy sun loungers and amazing views. This is a stunning memorable place.

Maybe could add a shopping list for groceries like snacks and nibbles,
