I loved loved loved my stay here! Room 114 was huge, beautiful, and windows opened up to the garden where the constant sound of the water fountain was so soothing. The staff was always smiling and greeting you, the hotel itself is beautiful, the restaurant is next to a garden. There is lovely artwork displayed around the hotel (I was lucky to be able to purchase 2 canvas paintings from the local artist who displays his art there!) Hotel location was very convenient and easy walking anywhere I wanted to go. My room was very quiet and peaceful, and I truly enjoyed my time in Antigua and this hotel! I absolutely will return.

This hotel is pricier than many others in Antigua, principally due to its location right by the Arch of Santa Catalina. Our room window overlooked the central tourist alley between the town square and the arch, but we didn't hear the commotion when we shut the windows. The hotel restaurant includes live traditional music and a show with dancers dressed in traditional costumes with masks. Be sure to make reservations for dinner when you check in.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

The food was excellent, but expensive for Guatemala. That might be because they had a band playing in the dinning room at every meal. Again, the food was excellent, and the surrounding were beautiful.

The plumbing in all of Antigua is from when the Spanish were there, so it might get clogged. Don't be embarrassed, it is not unexpected. One solution, is to eat a lot more vegetables; that works.

The property is as centrally located as is possible in Antigua, a couple blocks from the square and on the street with the famous arch. However, once you walk inside the gracious old hacienda, you are in another world from the bustle of the streets outside. It is a true hotel, with trained staff, the amenities and ambience a hotel ought to have, and, again, the best location imaginable inside Antigua.

Beautiful courtyards. The room was huge and majestic. No street noise coming into the rooms. The restaurant had a chicken soup that was the best I ever tasted! Incredible location.

Noise from other rooms next to ours and outside of the room was pretty noisy when people were talking or showering. The restaurant was wonderful but it is pricey.

We came here to have dinner after sightseeing in Antigua. We loved it so much, we had to come back. After visiting Lake Atitlan we made reservations to come back to this hotel. Everyone was super helpful, nice and friendly. They're always ready to help in any way they can. I loved how they added a personal touch to our room, it was super sweet. Loved everything about this hotel, wish we stood there longer.

The Posada de Don Rodrigo is in an excellent location in Antigua. Although it is located on the busiest street in Antigua, it felt like a serene oasis once you stepped inside the courtyard. The common areas and our room were very beautiful and clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

There is no AC and it was hot in Antigua while we were there (March).

It was beautiful! The gardens and courtyards were beautiful spaces to spend time and the rooms spacious and cool. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, whatever the request.

The bath was a little dirty and water leaked onto the floor when you ran the taps but this was a very minor issue

Our favorite place to stay in Antigua! The staff, ambient and location are excellent. Because of the Easter Week processions, their off-street parking became a real plus!

Because of the great location in the center of town, sometimes the noise factor becomes noticeable.

The room was completely soundproof! Our window looked out onto the Santa Catalina arch and it was very noisy but with the windows closed you could no tell. Breakfast was delicious, too!

The rooms were a little dark but that's to be expected with an older building.
