Perfectly situated in town, right next to a main square. Cute and charming. The cost included breakfast which was really good - there was some variety and you order with a menu. There is natural light in the room, although the window faced inwards to the courtyard. The Wi-Fi worked well, you just had to switch networks as you move around the hotel. There is a nice courtyard area with lots of seating, and a rooftop with a table and views as well. Great value for the price.

The room my sister and I had was on the first floor and the window only faced inwards - there was natural light, but a bit awkward as it faced the stairs. The shower didn't work at one point, but the front desk fixed it immediately. The TV did not work. The beds are pretty hard but acceptable. The main issue I had was the gated door to the street - you need to ask for someone to let you in and out. Getting out was usually quick, but we tried to get in at night and had to knock on the door for some time until the owner woke up to let us in, which left us feeling vulnerable while locked out. Easy fix giving guests a key to the outside door.

The staff were lovely and helpful, despite our language barrier. Particular thanks to Shelley and Sylvia . Rooms and the shared space were beautiful and comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and was spotless. Location was perfect for walking throughout Antigua.

They kept the front door locked so we had to ring for a staff member every time we needed to enter or exit. I imagine this is necessary for security so I'm glad they did it, but it was a little bit inconvenient.

The property was easy to find, had a gorgeous courtyard, and spacious rooms. The staff were very friendly.

If you came in late, you had to knock loudly on the door so a staff member could come unlock it. This was not an issue if you were the one knocking, but because we stayed in the king suite, it meant we were woken up multiple times a night as other guests came and went. We could also hear every conversation that happened in the reception area unless we had the fan running.

The location couldn’t have been better! Easy walk to everything. The hotel was very secure with the front gate having to be unlocked every time someone enters or exits the property, so I always felt like I was safe along with all my belongings. The staff was very trustworthy and helpful and cleaned our rooms daily. I even accidentally left some of my belongings when I checked out and didn’t realize until I was all the way in Atitlan. The staff was so incredibly helpful and helped arrange for my things to be dropped off to me in Guatemala City a few days later. I can’t thank them enough for the hospitality and kindness. I would definitely stay here again! Jenny was really awesome!

This is an amazing location, from which we could walk to everything, and has an incredible, welcoming and helpful staff. We had breakfast in the garden each morning, which was a huge treat. We also appreciated the daily maid service, which is no longer the norm in most places we stay. Other reviewers had made me nervous about the locked gate, but we never waited more than a minute to be let in or out. Also, the hot water was slow to arrive to the shower, but then plentiful once it did.

Either the windows are open and you hear every noise in the night (other travelers, church bells, aggressive birds) or the room is hot and stuffy. It not really the hotel's fault, but you should be aware if you are a light sleeper.

The management and staff were very kind and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. Location is great with easy access to everything and some good restaurants nearby. The neighborhood seemed quite safe and the hotel staff was vigilant about hotel access.

The common areas of the hotel are beautiful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom in our room was somewhat dated.

The photos are true to life- this hotel has so much colonial character and in such a central location! The beds and pillows were so comfortable, and Jenny and Roxanna are the most hardworking, friendly hosts. Don’t forget to spend some time in the courtyard and the rooftop! Amazing views of volcanos. Also, a fireplace! There is a little restaurant- like setup for the included desayuno in the front. We stayed for 2 nights, then returned for one more night. Highly recommend!!

Honestly- nothing to dislike.

Great location. Close to the center of things. Excellent location for viewing Easter processions (we watched one pass from the window of the dining room) and walking to see the alfombras being created durinb semana santa. Included breakfast was tasty. Room was big with comfy beds. Good shower with hot water but a bit of an ineffective shower curtain so watch out or you'll have a puddle on the floor. Lots of eating options on the street. Safe area.

We paid about 3 times the normal amount due to visiting during Easter. We knew this before coming but it still hurt the pocket. It is quite inconvenient to have to wait to be let in and out each time as the front door is locked and the reception has the only key.

A truly charming inn that I will visit again. I splurged on a suite with a balcony and volcano view and congratulated myself on the decision every morning. Very comfortable bed and pillows and extremely clean. Lovely inner courtyard and a back garden where you can rest under the shade of an avocado tree. Jenny and the rest of the staff made me feel at home and provided a tasty breakfast every morning. Perfect location for me as I speak no Spanish and had never been to Antigua - there’s a coffee shop right next door with a little convenience store beside it and more restaurants on the block than you could eat at in a week. Guided walking tours also start outside Iglesia de La Merced (the yellow church) on the next block.

There was some confusion about pickup from the airport as I lost cell service before they confirmed. A note the day before could have avoided this. Getting a taxi was no problem though. Just unfortunate that the driver's time was wasted.

The hotel is extremely beautiful and charming with nice details, pretty furniture, and beautiful architecture. We stayed in one of the suites which was gorgeous and had a view of the volcano. Excellent location, very central in downtown Antigua, walking distance to everything. We walked to the hill of the cross one morning and to all the nearby food, beverages, and sites. Included breakfast was delicious and the women running the hotel were very kind. Other reviewers mentioned having to wait to be let in and out of the gate; this was not a problem for us and I’ve experienced this same feature at other hotels in many countries. it is done for security purposes, though the whole area felt safe. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were nice. Would recommend 100% and would definitely go back soon.
