We had a great 2 nights here Room was amazing watching nature from our hot tub You are limited to the hotel restaurant and the food was great but the staff were so so friendly and helpful they always remembered your name and what drink you liked The main waiter was especially helpful and great fun We had been in Flores previously so this was a place for us to relax The monkey island trip was really amazing don’t miss it All staff remember your name and are so friendly and helpful

Cold water shower as we couldn’t get the hot water to work Loud Christmas songs in the restaurant but especially around the pool when all you want to do when relaxing is listen to nature as this is a peaceful place apart from the songs on a loop

We stayed 2 fabulous nights in Las Lagunas boutique near Flores. Wow !!! One of the best hotels we'be been in!!! It starts with a very relaxing atmosphere and astonishing view of the laguna and continues with a high level service from the Lobiest (Cesar & Carlos) and the main highlight, Elemer the waiter, who not only hosted us fantastically but also saved us one day in our trip itenarary... The hotel restaurant is very good - tasty breakfast (included) and dinners. The amazing view to the lake fron both the restaurant and the room, the boat trip to the monkey island, the Kayak rawing on the lake and the original Maya Museum are all included. The rooms are physically loclated on the water and the Jacuzzi with the view to the lake is just astonishing. What a hotel!!! Highly recommended!

For us it was pert, but the hotel is 15 from Flores. Of course you can take a taxi (150 Qzl).

Everything! This is my fourth time staying here. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave, you are treated as a celebrity. It was nice seeing my old friends Elmer and Alex still there. I remember them from my first trip years so. The grounds are so beautiful, the rooms are amazing, and the food is great! The monkey island trips are the best. If you do any excursions away from the hotel into the Maya areas, they will help coordinate them for you! Almost forgot to mention that they have the most incredible ancient Maya art collection in their museum on site! It’s amazing! Thank you again! Can’t wait to go back! 😁

This is a truly exceptional place. It sets a standard for others to follow. We were there to visit Tikal and so glad we had booked for 3 nights. The rooms are huge and like being on a boat, without the seasickness, as all you can see is water. Each evening we sat in the jacuzzi watching the birds flying over the lake. Just blissful. The restaurant is excellent, both in terms of food and service - thank you to all the staff. Reception staff are all brilliant, instantly responding to any request. The museum is stunning, it has superb artefacts, beautifully displayed. We loved the boat trip. The airport pick-up/return and driver to Tikal were arranged by the hotel and were excellent.

Flores Island - don't bother, there's nothing there that you can't get at the hotel. Maybe they need a couple more sunbeds. The room only had one comfortable chair, there is plenty of room for a second one. The standard breakfast is a bit mean - in this category of hotel I don't expect fruit and bacon to be extras. But this place is so wonderful that I'm searching to think of anything that was less than perfect.

Wonderful hotel. The villas on the water are suberb, the hot tub is a huge plus. Service is good, we enjoyed room service. Breakfast was good, but not impressive. The dinner was okay- not perfect.

Taxi to Flores is 20$. Hotel’s suggested tour to Tikal is 5 times more expensive than other guided tours from Flores. The staff is trying their best for the guests, but it feels not natural as trying to earn more tips. The jacuzzi in the room should have a switch off button rather than calling reception for turning it off, because it turns on in the night to maintain the same temperature- a waste of energy.

I spent a week here and it was an amazing stay. Everything is amazing from the beautiful rooms on the lake, to the Howler monkeys and nature to the museum and the wonderful staff. I felt so safe and cared for as a solo traveler and highly recommend this hotel, I felt like they just wanted me to be happy and relax there. Oh and the Spa was wonderful as well, loved the steam and dry sauna and massage! Plus, the spa pool is amazing. I work during the week and this was the only place in the Flores area that would guarantee WIFI and it held up during my entire visit so that was great. The room was very spacious with an amazing view to see throughout my work day, just amazing. They have a wonderful turn down service, too, just seamless. I booked two excursions and it was all perfect. The staff (reception, dining, housekeeping, maintenance) are what really make it special! Thank you to all!

everything was great.

This hotel is beautiful and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very polite and helpful. Many thanks to Alex, who served our dinner which was absolutely delicious. He also helped us order breakfast in our room so we could be ready on time for our private Tikal tour in the morning. The hotel is about a 20 minutes drive to Flore. And a taxi can be arranged by the front desk to take you there and also pick you up. The price is $20 one-way and it cost $15 additional if it is after 9pm.

The hotel arranged taxi price was $20 one way to Flores, with addtional $15 after 9pm, which seemed steep by local standard.

The hotel is very remote, private and quiet. We stayed in a suite overlooking the lagoon. There don’t seem to be other properties within at least a mile from the place. Our room was huge, well equipped and modern with comfortable beds. The staff were very attentive. We particularly enjoyed the large jacuzzi in the room and the beautiful infinity pool. We also recommend the (complementary) 1 hour boat ride to see the monkeys on islands in the lagoon.

It is difficult to reach from Flores because there is no Uber or equivalent in the area. Taxis and the hotel’s shuttle service cost 150Q at least (5 times the price of equivalent journeys in other places in Guatemala.). Since the roads are good around Flores, consider renting a car. The lobby and dining room were open to the (magnificent) view and therefore not air conditioned. It was ok but a bit hot.

Beautiful hotel. Brilliant, faultless service. Fabulous Rooms with private hot tubs overlooking the lake. Food not amazing, but above average. The french toast was fantastic at breakfast. Incredible setting in the jungle. The little museum is fascinating. The included Monkey tour was a highlight and should not be missed!

Dinner was a little disappointing given the level of the hotel.

The serenity, the views, the staff, the food, the wildlife, the Mariolas (!!!!). Not to mention the tastefully done casitas with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in.

I’m no friend of the use of pesticides and while I understand that being on the water means that insects can be a problem , I wished the hotel would explore other options. Just an observation, not a show stopper. We can’t wait to come back!
