Wonderful location next to the Cave Bath in Demjén, close to the salt hills of Egerszalók and the historic city of Eger famous for its medieval castle. Great variety of food selection during buffet dinner and breakfast and the unique option to enjoy late night spa even until 2.00 am every day during all seasons.

Room temperature was constantly set to 26 degrees Celsius even during the night without the option to reset the thermostat.

The lady who attended us at the reception was really unfriendly and didn’t help us at all. She didn’t explain us how to move through the different facilities and even when we asked her fir a second time some details she gave us wrong information, without apologizing later. Really, this kind os service makes the whole hotel seem worse than it is, it’s a pity! The rest was good.

Slightly disappointed in the hotels buffet dinner service in the sense that they deliberately did not make plain water available to patrons at the buffet dinner, so that if a guest wanted to drink anything they would have to order from the waiter for an extra charge. Kind of sneaky! Other than that the food was excellent.

At dinner, the food was varied and very tasty. The service was quick and polite. One of the biggest surprises/experiences, however, was in the wellness area during the sauna baths. The sauna master did very professional infusions ("aufguss"). It was very entertaining and a great experience for the whole family. I have had the pleasure to visit several saunas abroad (Netherlands, Germany, Italy) and I have also enjoyed the program of the team preparing for the World Sauna Masters Championships in Hungary (V8 Wellnes, Szentendre), but the sauna infusions by Nándor Tóth were equally professional. Both his knowledge of the essential oils being infused and their combination during the infusion and his air handling (towel) technique were outstanding. The infusions alone made us consider returning to the hotel during the winter months. Also very enjoyable were the night spas in the outdoor pools.

The receptionist was very unpolite and uninformative when we arrived. I asked for an underground garage spot since I have seen on the internet that it is available, but She said it is not. Luckily the next day his colleague corrected this misinformation.

Breakfast and dinner was rich and tasty, pleasant decor in the common spaces and the room, the garden for the ground floor room was a nice surprise, pleasant waiters and good service at the restaurant, outdoor pools were fine.

Poor English knowledge of the receptionist. No vacuuming or bathroom cleaning for 5 days.

Beautiful location, open-air spa with late night opening hours, cave bath, great variety of food, family friendly hotel and amazing hotel interior.

When booking more than one room, staff couldn’t sort out to be located at the same floor with family members, TV controller wasn’t working, bathroom water temperature controller was malfunctioning.

Good breakfast, good dinner, nice spa & wellness included in the price, overall helpful staff, great relax at the cave spa ( for an extra charge but this is still very reasonably priced ). We have enjoyed the spa & wellness facilities, water slides & thermal baths. We would happily visit this place again.

Certain areas could do with signs written in English/German for an easier orientation, also please provide menu/wine list/drinks list in English/German

Beautiful hotel within a lovely scenery, very nice interior, big rooms, we even got a room on ground floor with a little garden in front of the veranda for I travelled with a dog, very kind staff

Both dinner and breakfast were not adequate for that hotel category, and as we are talking about a hotel in a hungarian village, the value-for-money ratio could be better

Room view is nice, Food is tasty, rooms is clean and staff are friendly

Reception lady should be more friendly and briefing any new guests about hotel and facilities for first time guest, early check in or checkout wasn’t possible as she said even we called before and they said there is a late check out, always a reception is a first line and impression that guest remember , so this can be improved, Billiard table wasn’t good and only one will be nice to have facilities or entertainment for the evening .

Excellent hotel we had a nicer stay than in last year because we got the split type room we asked for 😍Food is good, location is good, internet is good.

The Demjen thermal bath is a gamble depending on what kind of people are there. There was unfortunately some dj, party Friday night. If this is regular i would avoid staying on Fridays. Best days for the bath seems to be from Mon to Wed.
