The location was great. 5-10 minute walk to the Taj Mahal. Great for getting there at sunrise to avoid the masses. Surrounded by shops/food places. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Room decor was nice. Television connected to Amazon account. Great chai tea stand immediately outside the hotel.

The shower temperature was tepid at best. The air conditioning unit kept being switched off from outside our room, and was leaking. The WiFi signal was weak, so connecting to Amazon on the television kept cutting off. We couldn’t close the curtains at night to block out the light because this blocked the air conditioning unit.

The location is top. You just walk one relatively calm for Indian standards street to the west gate of Taj Mahal. Small shops all around. The staff were very friendly and gave us mindful directions about transportation and sites to visit. Simple room, no luxury, but there was warm water and everything needed for a calm and safe stay. The bed looked strange at first but was surprisingly comfortable to me. From my experience this is hard to get in India. No view from the hotel but it was well protected from the monkeys and the noise. To me it was a very good money to quality ratio. I'm worried to give too good of a review lest it is full next time I want to visit Taj Mahal.

Location is just amazing!! Literally few minutes walk to the west gate of Taj Mahal which makes it possible to go anytime you want without a trouble. They also have restaurant on premises and the food there very nice. Stuff is extremely friendly and helpful. Bed are comfortable, towels, bedsheets all clean, hot water, soap and wifi are there. It's basic but for the price it's more than expected, was very pleased. We traveled with a toddler and lots of luggage, they helped to bring it upstairs and downstairs without a need to ask. If we go to Taj again, we'll stay there.

For the price we paid, it was all great.

The hotel is just a few steps away from the west gate of Taj Mahal. The room is as comfortable as it shows in the picture. We booked for a fan room, but they gave us an AC room because we are checking out the same day. The room is exceptional for the price, huge and immaculately clean compared to the other hotel with the same price. There was no other hotel than this in Agra, a great place, warm and nice staff, good food, best location for taj mahal and shopping area and of course with the reasonable price. To all travelers, will read these reviews should not think twice.

The location is fantastic, it is quiet at night, literally minutes walking from the Taj and the bazar, and even the red fort is reachable by feet on a good stroll through the parc. A good restaurant indoors. The manager and his staff understand what hospitality is all about as they take care of you very well.

Although still functioning, the bathroom in my room was in somewhat rundown condition.

800 steps to taj mahal west gate entrance, cant beat that. Staff was extremely accomodating when i arrived 7 hours late. Extra effort given by staff to make guests comfortable, which was much appreciated. They also communicated well when i had questions and let them know about my arrival delays. Facilities adequate, if a little old, extra care given to sheets and bath towels although facilities on the older side. But considering the inexpensive price and proximity to taj mahal this is a very good deal. Also felt safe.

Nothing really, power went off for a while but i dont think they could do anything about that. They went out of their way to make comfortable

This place is so very close to the Taj Mahal. Easy walk 3 minutes to the west gate to buy tickets at 6am and you are one of the first people to get access when the ticket collectors open at 6.20am The hotel is clean and has comfy Matresses. Staff were efficient and spoke very good English. Cafe was fine but we only had breakfast there with other great restaurants and cafe options nearby ( Joneys was our favourite) There’s rickshaws at the end of the lane to go everywhere in Agra and a police checkpoint presence at the end of the lane all the time to keep touts and hawkers to a minimum and you feel really safe here. We walked late at night safely. Price value for money is excellent, we’ve been in India 3 months and this place is above par for the price point.

Nothing, really it was all good. If you were really fussy then there’s a tiny bit of street noise which stops at 8pm and maybe starts a bit at 6am with some foot traffic going to the Taj Mahal.

The number one thing I loved: how safe I felt. I am a woman traveling on her own from the United States, and I have heard all sorts of different things about being alone as a woman in India. Out of all the budget hotels I’ve stayed at in India, this is the one I felt the most at home in. It’s family-owned and when I got there, I saw both Indian families and tourists staying overnight at this place. The owner was very attentive to my needs and his family members took care of me when I came to dinner. It’s also just a few hundred meters away from Taj Mahal which is HUGE if you want to get there early before the lines but are wary because you’re traveling solo and it might be a bit dark. It is so important for me as a solo woman tracker to feel safe and I felt incredibly safe and at home here. Thank you for bringing so welcoming and respectful, Hotel Sidhartha!

It’s a budget hotel so you won’t get any frills. A few dead mosquitoes on my bed, a spot or two on a towel. From what I understand, if you want hot water, they will bring it to you in a bucket. I was ok just washing myself bit by bit with cold water. No bottled water, and I had to step out 5-10 feet from my room to access wifi. But honestly, in light of how important it was to feel safe, these things all felt unimportant. Waking distance + safety + friendly family-owned place >>>>>> everything else.

A 2 minute walk to the Taj Mahal. An oasis in the middle of chaos.. Everything is near by . Yes the room is basic.. but please see beyond.. the shower is hot, your safe warm and cocooned. With wonderful people,.

The staff are friendly, yet give you your space.. Sitting in the courtyard, being part of it all. Listening to the hectic world outside, as they make their way to a wonder of the world.

We had a brilliant stay, me and my friend in one room and my mum in the next room. The staff took such good care of her as she arrived with an injury that required medical assistance. We absolutely loved the food, free breakfast was so good that we dined there together for lunch too. Big shout out to Mr Raj who ensured we were safe happy and provided directions to all the attractions and markets. We couldn’t have been closer to the Taj Mahal, he even promised that next time we come back that the skies would be blue 🌝🌺🍀
