The Taj Exotica hotel in South Goa is a good place to stay although it does feel that the hotel needs a revamp now, as it is quite dated in the public areas, although our room (deluxe room with sea view) was a renovated room looking out to the sea & really lovely. Having said that, the Taj Exotica is probably the best hotel to stay at in South Goa, if you want to avoid the absolute horrors of North Goa (about 1 hour away). The breakfasts were very good and we really enjoyed the dinners we had at The Lobster Village at the hotel. The hotel is right on the beach so perfect for an early morning stroll. The beaches here at Benaulim are really nice and do not attract many tourists.

The hotel is quite dated in some public areas and really needs a revamp. Not all the staff are that great - it seems there is a lack of training and a clear lack of visible management on display, especially in the restaurant areas.

The Taj Hotel is an exceptional place to stay and exceeded all of our expectations. It is located near a beautiful beach and within tropical gardens - perfect for relaxation, wellness and being surrounded by nature. It is an ideal location for nature walks, observing the beautiful plants and spotting tropical birds within the grounds plus taking a stroll along the beach. Our stay also included breakfast and one meal. The food was of a very high standard, with an array of choices plus the option to order from the live stations directly from the chef. The meals were something we very much looked forward to as every day we were delighted with something new. We would like to thank the staff at the hotel who went above and beyond, for all their kindness and help during our stay. Special thanks to Siddharth, Clarina, Housekeeping, the chefs at Sala Da Pranzo and all of the waiting staff at the restaurant. We had such a wonderful stay and we are looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Goa.

Everything was exceptional.

Excellent Location and Excellent property to sit back and relax. We spent 3 days and enjoyed every moment of it. The spa centre as well as the restaurants beside the private beach. The room size was more than enough fora couple as well as the staff who are always there to look after your every need.

I would only say that the Wifi is not great at different parts of the property, but this is a very minor issue.

The property grounds, the beach and the facilities were amazing. It's a vast and beautiful resort, and very well maintained. The staff was very hospitable and went out of their way to accommodate our every need. Special mention for Kimberly from Miguel Aranjo restaurant, and Johnson, the golf instructor.

The food could have been better. It wasn't bad, per se, but you expect a bit more when paying top dollar for the dishes. Access to the beach is closed after 8, but it beats the purpose of having a private beach resort. They should allow supervised beach access for the guests. And although the service was good, we felt that different departments weren't coordinated enough, so we had to repeat some of our requests multiple times.

Great resort, great location for family beach holiday. We got the typical Taj hospitality.

Just felt that the staff here were a bit laid back compared to other more efficient Taj properties. Can't imagine that the main bar in a 5 start property does not serve draught beer, even though they have the tap set up.

The children's playroom is amazing. The arts and crafts activities are wholesome - the staff - Malvica, Charline, Valentina, Pearl G and Pearl D were so friendly with my daughter. Sapna from the reception was good too. Taj has a unique vibe. The hospitality is unique. Also, the location, the activities for the day and the food is amazing too. I will be coming again for sure.

The pool tiles are old and need to be replaced. The bicycles are rented out for a very short duration. That needs to be increased. Also, the pool timings are too less. The pool should be open till 10pm at least.

Food was very good, breakfast platter was one of the best and multi-cuisine restaurant lives up to the high Taj standards. Lobster Village serves some of the best food we've had in Goa with amazing views of Arabian sea - highly recommended. The property has some of the most lush grounds and facilities are very good. Access to the beach is probably the best in the area and there are some good eating options on the beach as well. Usually the beach is not very crowded though the water sports are quite active. Overall a very pleasant experience and would love to come again.

There were far too many guests on the property and it showed up during the breakfast and on the beach beds. The staff was clearly overworked and the restaurant was always full. While it is understandable that tourists have started traveling after almost a 2-year gap, Taj exclusiveness should be managed better. One of the reasons we opted for Taj was because you can do whatever you want to do without waiting for too long. We don't mind waiting but for a stay in Taj, you don't expect that.

Breakfast, rooms, house-keeping and Valet were the highlights. Beach and Adega Cameons bar come the second. Attendants and servers in the dining areas were truly remarkable, though the dining area was short-staffed at times. Amazing experience with a thumbs-up to the property and the way this huge property has been maintained to very high standards.

Pool-side services was a bit slow and some facilities like beach-side shack and pool-side dining facilities was not available. With these facilities available, I would have rated the property 100% excellent. But otherwise, I rate it at 98%.

We liked the premium sea view room. Great view, comfy bed, ample space, front lawn, fabulous bathroom and impeccable housekeeping, proximity to beach was a perfect bonus. Ample greenery and lush lawns, long walking trails, beach proximity were all cherry on the cake. Perfect late monsoon weather with sporadic rains provided a most unique experience of Goa.

Hospitality was not upto the mark although when asked we were helped with all things. Checkin & checkout process seemed more like self service and required multiple followups. Took about an hour to get my luggage! Breakfast spread was okay, nothing extraordinary there. Overall food experience was underwhelming, nothing worth mentioning. Pool was okay, nothing special. Poolside bar was terrible, it looked more a makeshift arrangement with barely enough options and meagre hospitality. Beachside access was easy, but there was no support or towels provided at the beach. We liked our trip, it was comfortable and fun! However from Taj's side, we felt hospitality, food, bar fell short of the brand name! Hope people take notice and improve!

Beach view Variety in breakfast Lush green property

Room service not in sync with such a huge brand name. Had to call multiple times to get my issues resolved Commute is a big problem. Too dark at night. Its at a remote location and there are lot of taxi union issues due to which lot of confusion. Not at all lively during evenings. Even lobby looks so dull at 7 pm. Even much smaller resorts have live programmes and events specially if resort is at such a location No seating arrangement at beach There can be more lighting every where in the resort - Lobby, Lawn, Rooms No proper seating in rooms and equipments like TV/Charging points/fan etc are not too effective
