The setting is beautiful, each room has a comfortable seating area along the long terraces overlooking the garden, sitting in the lush garden is also possible. Both the room and bathroom were very clean, sheets, towels, oversheet and doona, all impeccably clean, were provided. Many details like a proper wardrobe and bedside lights were great. The complimentary breakfast was a choice between a couple of simple breakfast options. Additionally, the kitchen can cook tea, coffee and a few simple veggie and egg dishes for very reasonable prices on order until late evening, meal deliveries from outside were also allowed. The owner, Mrs Singh, and the manager were very friendly and helpful, we had nice conversations and overall a very relaxing stay at the palace hotel. They seem to be a rare kind that reject fake reviews of their property, the photos are exact and representative and the reviews seem to be all genuine. We would definitely stay in this peaceful beautiful oasis when visiting Jaipur again .

The mattresses were slightly too hard, as is often the case in India and the rooms a bit dark as they are tucked away behind the seating areas of the terraces.

Shahr Palace is a very quiet, safe and comfortable place to stay, especially for solo woman travellers. It was conveniently located in upmarket Civil Lines of the Cantt and close (about 20 mns) to all the key must-see-must-do spots in the city, if that's important. They also offered options to get you a cab or auto whenever needed. It was very welcoming and the staff was hospitable, as home-stays should be, with simple, wholesome food. It is an extremely beautiful building with a great history and an absolutely wonderful garden - nature right outside the door. I would heartily recommend it for those looking for a little bit of soul, silence, stillness and stories!

I thought there will be a lot of insects since there are a lot of trees around, and there were, but not inside the room. The room was super clean. And although the menu had limited food options, the food was very well cooked. Also you can order food from outside. The landlady is nice, she might come of as unfriendly but that's only because she doesn't understand technology much so she gets worried. The staff took really good care of us. The place is very quiet but filled with lovely chirping of birds. If you are someone who appreciates simplicity and nature, this is the place for you.

The breakfast was always dependable and simple but good. Ours was included in the price of the room. The lunch and evening menu was also good, but for a week's stay, there wasn't quite enough variety. The metro is ten minutes walk away, albeit on a very busy road. The location is excellent for travel into the city. The staff were unfailingly helpful; the rooms were cleaned every day. Our room was small but there is a delightful terrace immediately outside where you can sit and drink tea and look into the tree-tops.

Mrs Singh the host was fabulous, she helped us with some wedding shopping and with local recommendations. We loved the family dog, Sugar, too and the grounds are just beautiful with many birds and plants. Great size to the room. Highly recommend.

Shower took a while to heat up but once we got the hang of leaving it on for a bit before it was good. Otherwise no issues, would definitely recommend.

I stayed 10 days at the Shahar Palace, it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were so friendly, kind, and always willing to help. The location is fantastic, nice and quiet , and yet only a 5 minute walk to the metro into the centre! And very safe feeling!

Rooms are not so spacious but worth the greenish env with facade .. table chair to sit on ..They have porsche too at both floors. 10 min walk from civil line metro station.. good staff 5 km from railway station

The Hosts are very nice. Starting for the entrance till the Room. Very clean and well maintained property. Almost in the heart of Jaipur so all the great markets and view ponts are near by. Keep up the joy

We traveled as a group of 14 people. Everything was amazing! The rooms are clean. The place has a good energy... The owners have very cute dogs... We all just fell in love with them! Bravo!

The place has its own interesting story and it would be great if you have chance to talk to the owner. Rooms are small and simple but clean and comfortable. The nearest metro station is within walking distance.
